(or possibly [name]James[/name] as a middle or first name- but that is my hubby’s first name so I’m not sure)
I totally need help. Are there any other classic names you love for boys? ([name]William[/name], [name]Nicholas[/name] and [name]Samuel[/name] are out because they are my dad and brothers’ names, but I love all 3)
I love [name]James[/name] [name]Frederick[/name]! If you don’t want to call him [name]James[/name], you could go with the nn [name]Jack[/name].
I like [name]Peter[/name] [name]Frederick[/name] from your list. Other ideas are [name]Simon[/name] [name]Frederick[/name] and [name]Charles[/name] [name]Frederick[/name].
[name]Christopher[/name] is a classic, strong, elegant and charming name for a boy. (I happen to be biased as we named our son [name]Christopher[/name] - and he gets loads of compliments on his name). We don’t call him “[name]Chris[/name]” but rather [name]Christopher[/name] or my nn is Tophie. It hasn’t been used a lot in decades so I find going back to the classics now, as such with a name like [name]Christopher[/name], you will find them to more unique in the present day.
[name]Christopher[/name] [name]Frederick[/name]
[name]Christopher[/name] [name]James[/name]…love
[name]Christopher[/name] [name]Louis[/name]
[name]Christopher[/name] [name]Ryan[/name]
[name]Christopher[/name] [name]Grey[/name]
[name]Christopher[/name] [name]Andrew[/name] or [name]Andre[/name]
[name]Christopher[/name] [name]Edward[/name]
[name]Christopher[/name] [name]Simon[/name]
[name]Christopher[/name] [name]Grant[/name]…[name]Grant[/name] is on my current short list
[name]Christopher[/name] [name]Lucas[/name]…is so handsome!
Good luck! I’m trying to come up with a few of our own for our 2nd…tough, tough!
[name]Christopher[/name] is great, and so is [name]James[/name], but it seems to be becoming sort of a filler middle. I really dislike [name]Chris[/name], but I love [name]Christopher[/name].
I love [name]Thomas[/name]. Not [name]Tom[/name] or [name]Tommy[/name]. [name]Just[/name] [name]Thomas[/name].
I also love [name]Adam[/name] and [name]Seth[/name].
[name]Blake[/name] is another favorite of mine. I associate it with the poet [name]William[/name] [name]Blake[/name].
I also have a soft spot for [name]George[/name] and [name]Peter[/name]. And I think there are other classic names - like [name]Alexander[/name], [name]John[/name], and [name]Michael[/name] - that just never go out of style and are always a good choice.
But for my money, the best male name ever is [name]David[/name]. I may use it one day. It is as classic and strong as you can get, means “beloved,” has this incredible Biblical character behind it, and a sensitive, serious connotation. I don’t like [name]Dave[/name] or [name]Davey[/name], but [name]David[/name] is tops.
I really like [name]Adam[/name] too, but for some reason my husband just doesn’t like it. I don’t get it, it’s a nice name. He’s so close minded, it’s hard to work with him LOL
Actually, my favorite name you mentioned is [name]Frederick[/name]. So handsome, strong and classic. I would love to meet a little [name]Frederick[/name]! I also love [name]James[/name] – so handsome, storied, and strong. I know a teenaged [name]James[/name] who goes by the nn [name]Jay[/name], which makes me love it even more!
Some of my other favorite classics:
[name]George[/name]
[name]Paul[/name]
[name]Edward[/name]
[name]Andrew[/name]
[name]Arthur[/name]
[name]Gregory[/name]
[name]Luke[/name]
I love [name]Frederick[/name] also. It was my great grandfather’s name (who I never met but who my mom loved dearly). Right now I’m leaning towards [name]Peter[/name] [name]Frederick[/name]. I love the way it sounds. My husband still likes [name]Seth[/name], so I guess we need to keep talking.
