[name_u]Kennedy[/name_u] is a great one, I also like
[name_f]Kimber[/name_f]
[name_u]Indigo[/name_u]
[name_u]Hollis[/name_u]
[name_u]Ellison[/name_u]
[name_f]Jonquil[/name_f]
[name_u]Eden[/name_u]
[name_u]Brooks[/name_u]
I’m not usually one for ‘gender-bending’ names. I think it’s because I’m not particularly brave with my naming choices and prefer traditional names in general e.g. [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_u]George[/name_u], [name_m]Edward[/name_m] and [name_m]William[/name_m]. However, having said that, I like a lot of nature names, most of which I can see on any gender - Evergeen, [name_u]Sage[/name_u], [name_u]Forest[/name_u], [name_u]Firefly[/name_u], [name_u]Willow[/name_u] and [name_u]Rain[/name_u] for instance. And I actually prefer these on a boy.
Most of the ones I like have already been listed, but [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] is for sure my favorite. I’ve only known one boy named [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] in my life but I’ve always liked it for a boy. I think it’s probably easier to get away with naming a boy something more feminine, since I don’t think I’ve ever met a girl with a more masculine name. I wouldn’t really know, though. With some names I think it’s not wise to use them on a different gender, overall it’s fine imo.
So there’s the names that were originally boys and have migrated to girls but I prefer on boys:
Mallory
Madison
Morgan
Cassidy
Valentine
Leslie
Meredith
Shannon
Ashley
Carey
other names:
Ivy
Vivian
Greer
Hyacinth
Audrey
Joy
Blythe
Clover
Meadow
Wren
Mackenzie
Sascha/Sasha (this one I know is Masc in Europe)
I rather like gender bending names but I prefer when it’s down in both directions! often people are not willing to give more femme names for boys so I was happy to see this! I love Florence and I think all of these could work as boy’s names.
Basically all of these are theoretically unisex, but I prefer them on boys:
[name_u]River[/name_u]
[name_f]Summer[/name_f]
[name_u]Willow[/name_u]
[name_u]London[/name_u]
[name_u]June[/name_u] (with full name Junius)
[name_f]Shirley[/name_f] (used to be a boys’ name!)
[name_u]Emerson[/name_u]
[name_u]Kestrel[/name_u]
[name_u]Harper[/name_u]
[name_u]Taylor[/name_u]
I totally have more but I’m blanking right now… I’ll edit when I think of them! To me, gender bending girls-names-to-boys-names still feels very fresh, unlike the reverse. Masculine names on girls have been done so often in the last few decades that it just feels very “meh” to me now.
