Favorite Girl Combos Opinions

There must be something wrong with me, because I’m currently 4 weeks postpartum… and I already have baby fever. I’m just so certain that we should have at least one more, maybe more, children.

We have two boys and I’ve been kicking around girl names just for fun when trying to keep myself awake while nursing a newborn all night. Would love to hear opinions on any of these combos, or suggestions of names you think fit this style!

  • Vera Yvette
  • Vivienne Yvette
  • Vivienne Maeve
  • Lucy Estelle
  • Gracie Francine
  • Etta Maeve
  • Daphne Fae
  • Rosalind Ingrid
  • Eliza Eloise
  • Genevieve Elise
  • Florence Fae
  • Felicity Fae

[name_f]Gorgeous[/name_f] list! I voted [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] [name_f]Francine[/name_f] and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Fae[/name_f] but would have also voted for [name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_f]Yvette[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], and [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Fae[/name_f] if I could have.

Love name of these names but if I could tweak a few of my faves:

Ingrid Eloise (Indy)
Daphne Eloise /Elise
Francine Yvette (Franny/Francy)
Florence Estelle
Lucy Rosalind
Felicity Maeve
Vera Daphne
Rosetta Maeve
Maeve Lucette
Eloise Vera
Rosamund Lucy (Romy)

And I would spell Fae, Faye - eg Daphne Faye - take or leave of course!

Edit: I really like Gracie Francine - it’s my fave of your list as is - voted for it (and Daphne Fae) but didn’t put on list because no tweaking needed! You could always swap the order - Francine Gracie X (need last name for the right rhythm) depending on whether Gracie or Francy appeals most. Genevieve Elise already flows so nicely to my ear - I just prefer some of your other names to Genevieve (but Elise is a fave middle of mine). I’m not a Vivienne fan - like how French people say it but find it harsh and razor like in English.

I chose [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] and [name_f]Vera[/name_f] with your two sons in mind, but I realise I haven’t seen an announcement for your newborn. Would love to hear what name you landed on in the end.

[name_m]Clyde[/name_m] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]! Though, we were sort of rushed picking a middle to be discharged and I still daydream of calling him [name_m]Clyde[/name_m] [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] for some reason. :joy::woman_shrugging: I do like [name_m]Clyde[/name_m] [name_m]Theo[/name_m], though!

I voted [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] [name_f]Francine[/name_f] and [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] which I think are so spunky, retro & cool, but [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] is also great. There are also other options where I like one of the names only, or both names but not the combo - for eg [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] both nice names but I’m not keen on the two [name_f]El[/name_f]- names together, I love [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] but not keen on [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] nor the similar -d endings together. Fab list!

[name_f]Lovely[/name_f] names  [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] are my faves!

Thoughts:

[name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_f]Yvette[/name_f] → sharp and distinctive, though the sounds are a bit choppy and blur into each other a bit

[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Yvette[/name_f] → sassy and sharp with stylish vibes

[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] → sharp but sweet and [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] brings warmth

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] → elegant, bright and lovely

[name_f]Gracie[/name_f] [name_f]Francine[/name_f] → fun and playful in vibe

[name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] → snappy, warm, vintage and sassy

[name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Fae[/name_f] → stylish and sweet

[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] → vibe wise, I like it, sound wise, the two are a bit rhymey

[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] → fun and pretty with a kick

[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] → sleek and pretty

[name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Fae[/name_f] → vintage and elegant

[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Fae[/name_f] - sparkly, cheerful and sweet

If I could do some twists/mixing around:

[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Vera[/name_f]
[name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_f]Juliette[/name_f]
[name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_f]Lisette[/name_f]
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f]
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Viviette[/name_f]

If I was to suggest some similar ones:

[name_f]Evelina[/name_f] [name_f]Esme[/name_f]
[name_f]Clarice[/name_f] [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f]
[name_f]Vita[/name_f] [name_f]Mabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]
[name_f]Kitty[/name_f] [name_f]Linnea[/name_f]
[name_f]Lois[/name_f] [name_f]Lucille[/name_f]
[name_f]Elinor[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]
[name_f]Jocelyn[/name_f] [name_f]Sigrid[/name_f]
[name_f]Alma[/name_f] [name_f]Lisette[/name_f]
[name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_f]Mavis[/name_f]
[name_f]Ines[/name_f] [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosanne[/name_f] [name_f]Laurel[/name_f]

Theodore was one of my favourites of your middle name options. It’s such a handsome combination.

Many people still think about names after the final decision is over. I still think about our middle name choice from time to time. It’s difficult to stop shopping for names all of a sudden especially when there are so many nice ones. I believe the feeling subsides over time.

[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]! You’ve got a lot of beautiful names on your list. [name_f]My[/name_f] runner up would be either [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] or [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] though I wouldn’t pair them together as the ending sounds of the names are the same and don’t have a good flow imo.
