I love Celia! While you’ve listed some really beautiful options for middles, I feel that a one syllable name would probably suit well with your 4 syllable last name.

How about something simple and classic, like:

Celia June
Celia Jane
Celia Pearl

Or something off the beaten path:

Celia Belle
Celia Bloom
Celia Dove - I really like this.
Celia Shire
Celia Fern

I don’t know that any of these are super, but I thought they might help get the creative juices flowing. Also, Marley is the only name that seems not to fit with the other middles. An interesting option - do you mind me asking what prompted it?

I like [name]Celia[/name] [name]Annabel[/name] best because it’s the only name that doesn’t repeat the long -ee sounds in [name]Celia[/name].
[name]Eloise[/name], [name]Rosalie[/name], and [name]Marley[/name] are cute, but too ‘rhymey’ for me. Same issue with [name]Fiona[/name], [name]Amelia[/name], or [name]Marie[/name].
[name]Celia[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name] would work as well, but it seems like you prefer [name]Annabel[/name] so I’d say go for that one, it is a beautiful name. =]

Definite favorite is [name]Celia[/name] [name]Marie[/name] [name]Ben[/name]…vich. I don’t think it’s boring at all. Eleganza!
I’ve loved [name]Celia[/name] for years, so I think it’s fair to say I’m something of an expert.

I like [name]Celia[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name] but they are all really nice!

They’re all nice, but the beat if off a little. [name]Celia[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name] is my pick.

[name]Celia[/name] is one of my fave names (clashes horribly with surname, boo).

[name]Celia[/name] [name]Daphne[/name] in my eyes is perfection.

[name]Clio[/name] and [name]Elisabeth[/name] are faves of mine also, and I suggest you stay away from [name]Celia[/name] [name]Amelia[/name]

[name]Celia[/name] [name]Harriet[/name]
[name]Celia[/name] [name]Mabel[/name]
[name]Celia[/name] [name]Lilibet[/name]/h (a nod to [name]Elisabeth[/name])
[name]Celia[/name] [name]Zoe[/name]
[name]Celia[/name] [name]Jasmine[/name]

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone! It looks like [name]Celia[/name] [name]Annabel[/name] and [name]Celia[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name] are the frontrunners (our top two, btw!).

emelis: [name]Celia[/name] [name]Daphne[/name] and [name]Celia[/name] [name]Jasmine[/name] are divine! I’ve always had a secret love for [name]Daphne[/name], and [name]Jasmine[/name] was a long-ago fn contender thrown out because of its popularity. [name]Don[/name]'t know why I never thought to put it in the middle

tk.: We actually had [name]Jane[/name] on the middle name list, along with [name]Joy[/name]. [name]Love[/name] the suggestion of Bloom! And [name]Marley[/name] is a mash-up of sorts of my twin sister’s middle name ([name]Marie[/name]) plus the “ley” ending we both share ([name]Kimberley[/name] and Shenley). If I didn’t care about anyone else’s opinion, it would probably be my first choice

Any opinions on whether [name]Celia[/name] [name]Annabel[/name] or [name]Celia[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name] sound better with our first choice boy name: [name]Alden[/name] [name]Malcolm[/name]? Thanks

For me, it’s between [name]Celia[/name] [name]Annabel[/name] and [name]Celia[/name] [name]Eloise[/name]. So, since you have already thrown out [name]Eloise[/name], I voted for [name]Celia[/name] [name]Annabel[/name]. [name]Celia[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name] is a little jarring to me … not sure why. Maybe the hard R? I kind of agree with pp, though, that a one syllable mn might sound best. I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Celia[/name] [name]Jane[/name], and [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Alden[/name] [name]Malcolm[/name]. Gorgeous. Great pair. Everything good. Totally jealous of your naming sync with your hubby.

Lol, thanks again Catheyc! I just responded to your response on my other thread  I do feel very lucky to have a husband who doesn’t mind indulging my BNS (baby name obsession)!

[name]Celia[/name] [name]Annabel[/name] and [name]Alden[/name] [name]Malcolm[/name] sound a bit better to my ears than [name]Celia[/name] [name]Jane[/name] and [name]Alden[/name] [name]Malcolm[/name], but if we decided to go with [name]Alden[/name] [name]John[/name] (hubs’ middle name) instead, we would definitely go with [name]Celia[/name] [name]Jane[/name]. Thanks again for your input!

(I also [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Alden[/name] [name]John[/name]!)

Oh my, I must have missed your other thread - [name]Alden[/name] is wonderful whether you decide on [name]Malcolm[/name] or [name]John[/name]. I love it! I have to say, maybe you should save [name]Marley[/name] for a second son. [name]Malcolm[/name] [name]Marley[/name]… I might have to steal that  I will not deny my love of alliteration!

[name]Celia[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name] is wonderful!

[name]Celia[/name] [name]Eloise[/name] is really quite darling, but the flow isn’t perfect. And the consecutive a’s in [name]Celia[/name] [name]Annabel[/name] aren’t great. I’m also just not a big fan of [name]Marley[/name]. [name]Celia[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name] is absolutely stunning, two gorgeous names paired perfectly. Good luck!
