What are your favorite name books? Besides [name]Pam[/name] and [name]Linda[/name]'s, which is #1 for us all, of course.
The Complete Book of [name]Baby[/name] Names -The 100, 001 Best [name]Baby[/name] Names by [name]Lesley[/name] [name]Bolton[/name]
Name Your [name]Baby[/name] by Lareina [name]Rule[/name] ( it is really old)
50, 001 Best [name]Baby[/name] Names by [name]Dianne[/name] [name]Stafford[/name]
You should buy American Given Names by [name]George[/name] [name]Stewart[/name]. You can get it cheap used off Amazon. It was published in 1979 and doesn’t have very many names, but it gives long historical sketches of each name. Some names have 2 page long entries. More than just a one word definition. It’s really interesting!
One of my first name books was “The [name]Baby[/name] Name Survey Book,” by [name]Bruce[/name] Lansky. It tells what other people think of names, providing lists of names by adjective - for example, nerdy - and individual sketches of each name. I like the idea of it, but I certainly don’t agree with all of the name profiles!
[name]Pam[/name] and [name]Linda[/name]'s books are better, but it is interesting
“Best Exotic [name]Baby[/name] Names” by [name]Allison[/name] [name]Jones[/name] &
“Puffy, [name]Xena[/name], [name]Quentin[/name], [name]Uma[/name] and 10,000 Other Names for Your New Millenium [name]Baby[/name]” by Joal [name]Ryan[/name].
I’m always on the lookout for something unique.
