My favorites are
[name]Adair[/name]
[name]Adalia[/name]
[name]Adelaide[/name]
[name]Adara[/name]
[name]Adeline[/name]
[name]Adira[/name]

[name]Adelaide[/name] is the city down under that my DH is from. But also, [name]Adelaide[/name] was a princess & later queen. It sounds very regal to me.

Opps sorry, the poll hadn’t shown up the first time I posted. Of the four, [name]Adeline[/name] is my favorite, very pretty.

[name]Adelaide[/name] by far. I wish [name]Addison[/name] would go back to the boys :frowning:

I have always loved the name [name]Addie[/name] but could never find a name I just loved as a longer name. I’ve thought about using [name]Augusta[/name] with the nn [name]Attie[/name]. Same sound but more unique full name.

Despise [name]Addison[/name]. Was not a name for girls until that dumb tv show.

[name]Adelyn[/name] looks made-up. [name]Adelaide[/name] is wonderfully vintage, but a little on the stuffy side if you don’t have other very vintage names in the family. [name]Adeline[/name] is just lovely. Pretty, classic, timeless.

I loved a picture book about a kangaroo named [name]Adelaide[/name] when I was a kid. It’s out of print now, but she still gets my vote.

I love [name]Adeline[/name]. I quite like [name]Adelaide[/name], too, it’s gorgeous, but [name]Adeline[/name] feels more usable, more down-to-earth. Less flashy, but still gorgeous and stunning.

[name]Adelaide[/name], but I also love it as a nickname for the Welsh name Aderyn.

I picked [name]Adelyn[/name]. [name]Addison[/name] is too much of a boys name to the girls. [name]Adeline[/name], I don’t like the -line ending, I prefer the -lynn. And I’ve never cared for [name]Adelaide[/name].

I would like to suggest Adrielle, though. I know an Adrielle nn [name]Addi[/name]. It’s not as common as the 4 you listed, but still gets you the [name]Addie[/name] nn.

I voted for [name]Adelaide[/name], but I’m a fan of [name]Adeline[/name] as well. I second the suggestion of the Welsh Aderyn, meaning “bird.”

I like [name]Adeline[/name] the best, followed by [name]Adelaide[/name] (which just happens to be the city where I live!). I think [name]Adeline[/name] is a bit fresher and modern, while [name]Adelaide[/name] is more vintage and regal. It depends what style you prefer.

Good luck and let us know how you go!

Ooohhhh, good question! I adore [name]Adeline[/name] and [name]Adelaide[/name], as both are feminine and classy. [name]Adelyn[/name] and [name]Addison[/name] have a trendier feel that I’m not a fan of, where as [name]Adeline[/name] and [name]Adelaide[/name] may come in and out of fashion but should stand the test of time.
