My favorites from the lists above are [name_f]Tamsin[/name_f], [name_m]Declan[/name_m], [name_u]Hudson[/name_u], and [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m]. [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] I like but I love [name_u]Gray[/name_u]/[name_u]Grey[/name_u]. Wonderful lists.
I will list my top 6.
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f], [name_f]Sofia[/name_f], [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], [name_u]Teagan[/name_u], [name_f]Marit[/name_f], and [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]
[name_m]Piers[/name_m], [name_m]Tobin[/name_m], [name_m]Asher[/name_m], [name_m]Jack[/name_m], [name_m]Henry[/name_m], and [name_m]David[/name_m]
My lists are forever changing. Here are some of my current faves, which seem to change every few weeks:
Boys:
[name_u]James[/name_u]-- This one’s a family name, been on my list since childhood. It isn’t going anywhere! Probably use it as a middle, if we ever have the truly hypothetical child #3. As much as I can’t stand boy names on girls, I’d strongly consider it as a middle for a girl, because I loved my grandfather and I don’t like any of the feminizations of [name_u]James[/name_u].
[name_m]Amias[/name_m]
[name_m]Lorcan[/name_m]- as a roundabout honor name for [name_f]Carol[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f].
[name_m]Oran[/name_m]/ [name_m]Orin[/name_m] … Can’t figure out which spelling. There are a few other accepted spellings of the name, at least as far as homophony.
[name_m]Talon[/name_m]-- my husband refuses to entertain my fascination with birds of prey, so this one is off the list for potential baby #2.
Girls:
[name_f]Saoirse[/name_f]-- I have a very unusual last name, so I’ll never be able to use this gem without making my child’s name look like the person typing up her birth certificate fell asleep on the keyboard.
[name_f]Celina[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Winifred[/name_f]-- Ooooh how I love [name_u]Win[/name_u] as a nickname. WINNING!
[name_f]Viera[/name_f]/ [name_f]Vera[/name_f]-- I live in a community with a large Spanish-speaking population, so I worry going with the Czech spelling, [name_f]Viera[/name_f], would be pronounced Vee-air-uh.
I like [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f], [name_u]Madigan[/name_u] and [name_f]Effie[/name_f] from your girls list, and [name_m]Thorin[/name_m] and [name_m]Thayer[/name_m], for boys. I like [name_m]Atticus[/name_m], but I have a (girl) friend named Aqtiya, (pronounced Att-i-ca), so it doesn’t sound quite right now, and I also have a friend called Tasnim, so now Tansim seems a bit off as well, but they’re both really nice names. I like your list!
@navyjane, [name_m]Thorin[/name_m] has always been one of my favorites. Only… my husband has a million and one stipulations on names, including no God or [name_f]Goddess[/name_f] names. Yep, I had to forget about naming a little girl [name_f]Thora[/name_f]!
It fluctuates, of course, but as of now:
[name_u]Nicola[/name_u]-[name_f]Daisy[/name_f]-[name_f]Juno[/name_f]-[name_f]Camilla[/name_f]-[name_f]Molly[/name_f]
[name_u]Orion[/name_u]-[name_m]Felix[/name_m]-[name_m]Archer[/name_m]-[name_m]Uriah[/name_m]-[name_m]Declan[/name_m]
