I haven’t posted in yonks, but I was thinking recently how fun it would be to discuss how everyone’s favorite names had changed when they first started noticing/liking names to now.
The names that I used to like and really don’t now except for maybe one were very trendy and/or popular
[name_u]Brayden[/name_u] is the only name I used to like for boys. I might have liked others but I have such a horrible memory that I can’t remember any others that really stick out that I loved when I was younger. I even named one of those electronic babies that for a family studies class I had in high school.
Actually I also liked [name_m]Ethan[/name_m] for a boy. So yeah, [name_u]Brayden[/name_u] and [name_m]Ethan[/name_m]. Very trendy and popular.
For girls I loved [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and honestly I still do. I wish my name was [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and there was a point where I was considering changing my name to [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] but I didn’t want to upset my mother so I am just boring old [name_f]Brittany[/name_f], which I hate.
The other name I used to love for girls was [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f]. Mostly because of the [name_f]Mary[/name_f]-[name_f]Kate[/name_f] and [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] [name_m]Olsen[/name_m] movie, It Takes Two. I was a bit obsessed with their movies when I was a kid.
I cant remember anymore names that I used to like although Im sure there were plenty that were trendy and awful.
Now I love [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] for girls. [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] is definitely my favorite girl name and if I ever have a daughter that will probably be her name.
For boys I love [name_m]Callum[/name_m], [name_u]Dexter[/name_u], [name_m]Jasper[/name_m], [name_m]Dalton[/name_m] (I adore this name especially with the middle name [name_u]James[/name_u] but everyone I tell it to says it reminds them of [name_f]Dulce[/name_f] which is a seaweed snack popular in Atlantic [name_f]Canada[/name_f]), [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m], and [name_m]Declan[/name_m]. I like boys names now more girls names.
