So, here they are, from LEAST popular to MOST popular, 2008:
[name]Libby[/name] - I really prefer this as a nickname for [name]Elisabeth[/name], I guess.
[name]Tess[/name]
[name]Arabella[/name]
[name]Isla[/name]
[name]Helena[/name]
[name]Quinn[/name]
[name]Fiona[/name]
[name]Eliza[/name]
[name]Madeleine[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name]
[name]Lucy[/name]
[name]Isabel[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Julia[/name]
[name]Hailey[/name]
[name]Sophia[/name]
[name]Olivia[/name]
[name]Emma[/name]
As you can see, I love the classics, but some of these surprised me - [name]Tess[/name], [name]Quinn[/name], and [name]Hailey[/name]. And, I am sad to say I love most of those very popular names - [name]Emma[/name], [name]Olivia[/name], and [name]Sophia[/name] - because they were originally classic names, and now have turned vogue!
[name]Russell[/name]
[name]Bennett[/name]
[name]Holden[/name]
[name]Declan[/name]
[name]Theodore[/name]
[name]Griffin[/name]
[name]Harrison[/name]
[name]Henry[/name]
[name]Nathaniel[/name]
[name]Chase[/name]
[name]Wyatt[/name]
[name]James[/name]
Again, some of these fit the more trendy surname style, but I’m okay with that. My favorite two boy names are still [name]Henry[/name] [name]Theodore[/name] and [name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]James[/name] - very classic!
[name]Just[/name] for fun, I took a look at the SSA listing for the top names in 1900. On the girls’ side, the list was rather odd, but I did find some I love - some of my other favorites ([name]Lydia[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Emma[/name], [name]Julia[/name], etc.) were on there, too!
[name]Cara[/name] - Like [name]Caroline[/name]!
[name]Rosalind[/name]
[name]Georgiana[/name]
[name]Rhea[/name]
[name]Estella[/name]
[name]Genevieve[/name]
My favorites (if you’ve been on here before, you’ve probably seen this) are [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Caroline[/name], [name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]James[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Eliza[/name], and [name]Henry[/name] [name]Theodore[/name] - classic, elegant, simple, and sophisticated - yet I still like others!
