I chose [name_f]Nora[/name_f]! It’s underused [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. I also love [name_f]Cora[/name_f], [name_f]Dora[/name_f] and [name_f]Flora[/name_f]! (what a funny sibset that would make…!)
Of these, [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]. That’s the only one I really like from this list (although I like [name_f]Cora[/name_f] and [name_f]Flora[/name_f] okay). I also really love [name_f]Eliora[/name_f] and [name_f]Fiora[/name_f] (although I’m starting to wonder if I don’t prefer [name_f]Fiorella[/name_f] to that).
I love [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. [name_f]Cora[/name_f] and [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] are also nice. [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f], which wasn’t listed is nice too.
I love all of them! I feel like [name_f]Cora[/name_f], [name_f]Dora[/name_f], [name_f]Nora[/name_f], and [name_f]Thora[/name_f] all have some kind of long form. [name_f]Dora[/name_f] -> [name_f]Teodora[/name_f], [name_f]Pandora[/name_f], [name_f]Isadora[/name_f]
Mine is a tie between [name_f]Cora[/name_f] and [name_f]Nora[/name_f], but I voted for [name_f]Cora[/name_f], as I would be most likely to actually use it.
I picked [name_f]Cora[/name_f] but I also really like [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_f]Nora[/name_f], [name_f]Pandora[/name_f], and I’ve heard other ora names like I like but I can’t remember them at the moment.
The one that I love was not on the list. The name is [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f] nn.[name_f]Ellie[/name_f] or nn.[name_f]Nora[/name_f].[name_m]Just[/name_m] something to consider.
Of yours, I picked [name_f]Flora[/name_f]. I also love [name_f]Thora[/name_f], [name_f]Zipporah[/name_f], and [name_f]Isidora[/name_f] (this way because it’s the original spelling.)
Here’s the ones I really love:
Aldora – winged gift
Dinorah – light, fire
Eleodora – gift of the sun (or something like it) – ee-lee-oh-dora
Musidora – gift of the muses
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f]
[name_f]Flora[/name_f]
[name_f]Isidora[/name_f] (with two i’s) - [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] is too much like [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] for me. But [name_f]Isidora[/name_f] is one I’d use [name_m]IRL[/name_m].
[name_f]Theodora[/name_f]
Tzippora - [name_f]Zipporah[/name_f] looks incomplete to me without it’s T, and the sound is a bit different in Hebrew.
[name_f]Cora[/name_f]! It’s spirited and sassy with a strong feel and sound. I love that it’s feminine without being frilly. I can always appreciate a simple, versatile, feminine name.
I’ve loved Tzippora since the first time I heard it ~age 8, so voted for [name_f]Zipporah[/name_f]. I also like [name_f]Sephora[/name_f] and [name_f]Cora[/name_f] would have gotten my vote if [name_f]Zipporah[/name_f] wasn’t available.
Mine was a tie between [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] and [name_f]Isadora[/name_f]. I went for [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] but my favourite not on the list is [name_f]Leonora[/name_f]
