I really like a lot of unisex names for girls, but (and I think this is also true for most people) don’t really like many for boys.
Some of my favorite unisex names I like on girls are:
[name]Sean[/name]
[name]Dakota[/name]
[name]Chandler[/name]
[name]Ellis[/name]
[name]Elliott[/name]
[name]Shiloh[/name]
[name]Noah[/name]
[name]Evan[/name] (Though it would probably be a nickname for [name]Evangeline[/name])
[name]Charlie[/name] (Though it would probably be a nickname for [name]Charlotte[/name])
And the couple that I do like for boys:
[name]Dakota[/name] (Though this is pretty equal)
[name]Dallas[/name]
[name]Shiloh[/name]
[name]Blue[/name]
What are some of your favorite unisex names? Either gender
There’s a difference between true unisex names and boy names occasionally used on girls. [name]Chandler[/name], [name]Elliott[/name], [name]Sean[/name], [name]Noah[/name], and [name]Evan[/name] are all boys names used on girls.
I like [name]Harper[/name] for a boy. That’s all I can think of right now.
The only difference is popularity - “true unisex” names are about 50/50, equally common for either sex. That’s a bit nitpicky and would severely restrict the scope of this thread, and I think it’s a fun thread, so it’ll be nice to cast aside that requirement, at least for now.
I’m not a fan of unisex names in general, so this list is short, but…
Boys - [name]Mackenzie[/name], [name]Casey[/name]
Girls - [name]Taylor[/name], [name]Jamie[/name]
[name]Both[/name] - [name]Jesse[/name], [name]Morgan[/name]
I’m guilty of liking the boy names [name]Logan[/name] and [name]Spencer[/name] on girls, but would never use them.
[name]Shiloh[/name], [name]Harlow[/name] and [name]Rowan[/name]. [name]Shiloh[/name] I prefer for boys, [name]Harlow[/name] and [name]Rowan[/name] I like on both.
[name]EDIT[/name]: I love [name]Paris[/name] for a boy. For a girl I quite like it too (don’t shoot me, berries!), but [name]Paris[/name] on a boy; I would swoon.
Girls: [name]Dillon[/name](Only in this spelling), [name]Emerson[/name], [name]Addison[/name]
[name]Both[/name]: [name]Peyton[/name], [name]Jordan[/name]
That’s pretty much it. I don’t care much for boys having a “girly” name. That’s just me. I have see where it actually sounds good for a boy, but they had strong male middle names to make it more masculine sounding.
