Favorites for baby 4

We have a [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] ([name_m]Gabe[/name_m]), [name_f]Claire[/name_f], and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] (sometimes [name_u]Charlie[/name_u]- her choosing.) We are expecting baby 4, a boy. His middle name will be [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] after my father unless it doesn’t work with the first name we choose, then it will be [name_m]Smith[/name_m]. So far, I haven’t found “the” name, but my husband has a list of names he likes.

[name_m]Graham[/name_m]
[name_m]Liam[/name_m] ([name_m]William[/name_m]?)
[name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u]
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]
[name_m]Grant[/name_m]

What do you all think… or do you have any suggestions? Thanks!

Your husband’s list is fairly classic and tailored, just like your kids’ names, so I think any of those choices would mesh well with your family. My favorites are [name_m]William[/name_m]/[name_m]Liam[/name_m], [name_m]Graham[/name_m] and [name_u]James[/name_u]. I would not recommend [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] because of the presidential connection.

Other ideas that seem to fit your style (or at least, your husband’s):

[name_m]Adam[/name_m]
[name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_m]Jonah[/name_m]
[name_u]Jude[/name_u]
[name_m]Julian[/name_m]
[name_m]Nicholas[/name_m]
[name_m]Sean[/name_m]

Your list is actually spot on. I loved [name_u]Jude[/name_u], he didn’t, and he likes [name_m]Jonah[/name_m] but I don’t care for it much.

I like the idea of girls being c and boys being g names. I like your g picks.

Thanks for your help! Any other opinions or suggestions?

If this will be your last I’d go with a ‘G’ name, as I think it would be sweet to have boys with G names and girls with C names, but if you’re planning for more, and don’t want to get tied into a them, I’d avoid the G names.

[name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] ([name_m]Gabe[/name_m]), [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_m]Graham[/name_m] (nicknamed [name_u]Gray[/name_u] to make it feel a bit more modern) would be lovely if you went with a G name, but I’d otherwise go for [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] or [name_u]Noah[/name_u].

[name_m]Griffin[/name_m]? [name_m]Grayson[/name_m]? [name_m]Gavin[/name_m]? [name_m]Grant[/name_m] and [name_m]Graham[/name_m] of course in the running…

I like [name_m]Liam[/name_m] and [name_u]Noah[/name_u] the best with his siblings. [name_m]Gabe[/name_m] and [name_m]Graham[/name_m] sound too close to me and [name_m]Grant[/name_m] seems a bit too stuffy. [name_m]Liam[/name_m] and [name_u]Noah[/name_u] have vowel sounds you haven’t yet used in your children’s names: [name_m]Liam[/name_m] has an “ee” sound that is only repeated in [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] and [name_u]Noah[/name_u]'s “o” is not in any of the other names. This makes it seem like this little boy gets his own identity and personality and not just lumped in with siblings. [name_m]Liam[/name_m] [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] sounds better to me than either [name_u]Noah[/name_u] [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] or [name_u]Noah[/name_u] [name_m]Smith[/name_m], so [name_m]Liam[/name_m] gets my vote.
