I voted [name_m]Florin[/name_m] and [name_f]Flora[/name_f] because I couldn’t decide? [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] doesn’t sound all that great to my ear, but I like how [name_f]Flora[/name_f] sounds, and how [name_m]Florin[/name_m] looks. I LOVE the look of [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_m]Florin[/name_m] but don’t think I’d ever use [name_f]Verity[/name_f] Florin… [name_m]Florin[/name_m] feels quite masculine to me, but I can see how it’d feel unisex/girly to some.

Interesting that it feels masculine. I see [name_u]Florian[/name_u] as masculine and the [name_m]Florin[/name_m] as feminine. Maybe it’s because of the whole Florin/Lauren sort of sound.

That definitely makes sense! Last I checked [name_m]Florin[/name_m] was reasonably popular in [name_f]France[/name_f] as a boys name which is where I became familiar with it? Reminds me of Torin/Thorin/Augustin/etc., too. But [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_m]Florin[/name_m] looks and sounds so nice! I just don’t think I could do it myself; but you’re right, [name_m]Florin[/name_m] is one of those masculine [name_u]French[/name_u] names that just feels like it belongs on a girl… much like the (Dutch?) [name_u]Floris[/name_u] lol.

I agree with you. I think the imagery I get with [name_m]Florin[/name_m] is the [name_m]Florin[/name_m] coin that was used here in [name_f]England[/name_f] in the 1900s
