I’m looking for a girl’s name to honour a “[name_u]Leigh[/name_u]”. The thing I find hard is that many names containing “leigh/lee/lie/ley” sound trendy and girlish to me, not something that a grown woman could wear. My favourite at the moment is [name_f]Eilidh[/name_f] (ay-lee) which is also a nod to my Irish heritige. I like quirky, classic and historical names. It doesn’t need to have any specific spelling, just the sound “lee”
Some names that are on the “no” list (along with any alternate spellings):
[ul]
[/ul]
I like but can’t use:
[ul]
[/ul]
[name_f]Lina[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliana[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelie[/name_f]
[name_f]Jolie[/name_f]
[name_f]Natalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Dahlia[/name_f]
[name_f]Eulalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Cleo[/name_f]
[name_f]Liesel[/name_f]
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f]
My favourite ‘lee’ names are [name_f]Leora[/name_f], [name_f]Amalia[/name_f], [name_f]Elina[/name_f] and [name_f]Hallie[/name_f].
@daphodil @grackym I think you got my style perfectly! Thank you for your suggestions. I can’t use [name_f]Elina[/name_f] (DH ex)
I really like:

[name_f]Amalia[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliana[/name_f]
[name_f]Jolie[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Eulalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Liesel[/name_f]
