Some of the names I loved:
[name_f]Molly[/name_f]- My name is [name_f]MacKenna[/name_f], and I liked this because it was similar.
[name_u]Jaycee[/name_u]- I made this up.
[name_u]Jayden[/name_u]- I thought I made this up.
[name_u]Jay[/name_u]- As you cans see, I liked names with [name_u]Jay[/name_u] in them.
[name_u]Tyler[/name_u]- One of my cousin’s names.
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]- I still love this.
[name_f]Erika[/name_f]- I was obsessed with The [name_m]Little[/name_m] Mermaid.
[name_f]Leona[/name_f]- I still love this.
[name_f]Melody[/name_f]- Again, I was obsessed with The [name_m]Little[/name_m] Mermaid and The [name_m]Little[/name_m] Mermaid II.
[name_f]Alicia[/name_f]- I still love this.
[name_m]Jared[/name_m]- A few of my best friends were [name_m]Jared[/name_m].
[name_f]Leanne[/name_f]/[name_f]Leanna[/name_f]- Reminds me of [name_m]Hawaii[/name_m]. I’m not sure why.
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]- This was probably my favorite, I named my first bunny [name_f]Clara[/name_f] (even though he ended being a boy, lol).
[name_f]Della[/name_f]- The name of my second bunny, who was actually a girl.
[name_u]Ryan[/name_u]- I just liked the sound. I named my fish [name_u]Ryan[/name_u].
[name_f]Layla[/name_f]- Not sure.
[name_u]Danny[/name_u]- I named my other fish [name_u]Danny[/name_u]. He was a danio. Clearly I was very creative.
I’m sure there are a few more, but those are the ones I can think of right now :).
I don’t remember too many of the names that I loved when I was younger but I loved [name_m]Calvin[/name_m] and [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m] for boys. For girls my taste was a little different and I thought [name_f]Clover[/name_f] and [name_f]Sapphire[/name_f] were the coolest names ever. A more traditional girl’s name I liked was [name_f]Annie[/name_f], because of The [name_u]Magic[/name_u] Tree House series. None of those names I really like anymore.
I actually remember being very frustrated when I was little because I couldn’t think of any boy names I liked other than [name_u]Owen[/name_u], lol. For girls I remember liking [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f], [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], [name_f]Diana[/name_f] (I was big into Greek and [name_m]Roman[/name_m] myths :P), [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], and [name_u]Morgan[/name_u]. I remember getting really annoyed when [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] became super popular!
When I was 5, I had a doll named [name_f]Michelle[/name_f].
Later on my favorites were…
Boys:
[name_u]Tristan[/name_u]
[name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] - before it became a celebrity name, i loved it for a boy
[name_m]Simon[/name_m]
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m]
[name_m]Sampson[/name_m]
[name_u]Sawyer[/name_u]
[name_u]Spencer[/name_u] - I loved ‘S’ names!
Girls:
[name_f]Kirsten[/name_f]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
& pretty much every other name that became popular
[name_f]Christiana[/name_f] (though my elementary school self spelled it Chrischeonia and thought I made it up).
[name_u]Devin[/name_u]
[name_u]Bentley[/name_u]
[name_f]Aislinn[/name_f]
These are all ones I remember liking around age 8-10.
Girls:
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f]
[name_f]Miriam[/name_f]
[name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f]
[name_f]Clarissa[/name_f]
[name_f]Thea[/name_f]
[name_u]Temple[/name_u] (NO idea where I got that one from!)
I always like names like [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], [name_u]Bailey[/name_u], [name_f]Brenna[/name_f], [name_u]Tegan[/name_u], [name_m]William[/name_m], etc. My favorite that I found on an old list is [name_u]Dell[/name_u]. I still love this name.
When I was in elementary school I loved [name_f]Francesca[/name_f], [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] and [name_f]Brigitta[/name_f] (from sound of music ). And I was totally in love with the [name_f]Anne[/name_f] of [name_u]Green[/name_u] Gables/Road to Avonlea names [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] and [name_f]Marilla[/name_f]. I didn’t like boys names at all with the exception of the road to Avonlea ones lol, [name_m]Felix[/name_m], [name_m]Alec[/name_m] and [name_m]Jasper[/name_m].
The only ones I still love are [name_f]Marilla[/name_f] & [name_m]Alec[/name_m].
At about ten for girls I loved:
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f], [name_f]Liberty[/name_f] and ([name_f]Liberty[/name_f]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f]), [name_f]Lola[/name_f], [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f], [name_f]Lucie[/name_f], [name_f]Dulcibella[/name_f], [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f]
I also just loved girls’ names with hyphens in them, or double names in general, which are still a guilty pleasure of mine. Also first/middle/last combos that spelled out nicknames
And for boys: [name_u]Teddy[/name_u], St. [name_m]John[/name_m] (from [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Eyre[/name_f]), [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], [name_m]Charles[/name_m], [name_m]Edward[/name_m], [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], [name_m]Joshua[/name_m], [name_m]Aloysius[/name_m]
Out of these I still love [name_f]Liberty[/name_f], [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f], [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] and [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], and like St. [name_m]John[/name_m], [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], [name_m]Joshua[/name_m], [name_f]Lola[/name_f], [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f]. My boys’ names tended to be much more classic for some reason!
I have an old notebook where I recorded the names I liked when I was around eleven. These included [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], [name_f]Freya[/name_f], [name_f]Chloe[/name_f], [name_f]Elise[/name_f], [name_f]Saffron[/name_f] and [name_f]Liv[/name_f], as well as [name_f]Isis[/name_f] (unusable now unfortunately).
I used to love [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] (until I realized the animal itself is pretty annoying), [name_f]Belle[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Lila[/name_f] (favourite colors then), [name_f]Jasmine[/name_f] (fav flower then), [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] ([name_f]Narnia[/name_f]), [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], [name_u]Artemis[/name_u], [name_f]Lola[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_f]Renata[/name_f] for girls; and [name_m]Ignacio[/name_m], [name_u]Dash[/name_u] and [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] for boy.
[name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] was a favourite of mine when I was younger, and so was [name_u]Noah[/name_u] and [name_u]Dylan[/name_u] for a boy. I am still a big fan of [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] and [name_u]Dylan[/name_u], but my nephew is called [name_u]Noah[/name_u] so I had to fall out of love with that one.
Nowadays I still love [name_m]Levi[/name_m] that’s my absolute favourite boys name. I also really love [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], [name_u]Jay[/name_u] as a nickname only, [name_f]Marie[/name_f], and [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] but prefer [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f].
[name_f]Sarah[/name_f] - my very first baby doll was [name_f]Sarah[/name_f]… I’m definitely not into it now
[name_m]Jack[/name_m]- I loved the name [name_m]Jack[/name_m] when I was very young, still do.
[name_m]Luke[/name_m]- then my parents named our dog [name_m]Luke[/name_m]… And now it sounds a little country to me (which is not bad, except that I am not a country kinda gal)
[name_f]Melanie[/name_f]- I still [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] this name. I’ve loved it ever since I read Gone with The Wind. It’s not 100% my style (a little plain/old fashioned), but I still adore it
[name_f]Rose[/name_f]- titanic duh. Now I like [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] and love [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] ([name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] also has personal meaning to me). [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] as a little girl nickname.
[name_m]Leo[/name_m]- another “titanic duh” name lol. Still really like it, but becoming popular
[name_f]Genivieve[/name_f]- I use to be obsessed with [name_m]French[/name_m] names… Then I met a heinous woman named “[name_f]Ginnie[/name_f]” and she ruined the name for me entirely lol.
[name_f]Florence[/name_f]- I still love “[name_f]Flo[/name_f]”. Many people think of the insurance commercial girl or “Aunt [name_f]Flo[/name_f]”, but I still like it
