An few theme of names I love are rare names, names with beautiful meanings and or history behind it. Also love unisex names, and names with letters that aren’t frequently used as often.

I love mythology names, celestial names, literary names, and almost anything with a -th or -ph! (not sure why, it’s probably soothing to the old synaesthesia)

I like names that are variants of more familiar names, literary names and slightly-wordy-naturey-type names

For girls, I tend to lean more toward timeless classics, with a few “old lady” names sprinkled in there. For boys, it is flipped with mostly dated, yet charming names.

Hm … mostly mythological names, Scandinavian names, obscure nature names, a few “old lady” names such as [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] or [name_f]Mathilda[/name_f], names ending in -line or -lina, and names ending in -ia. I also enjoy Arabic names a great deal, and names with poetic meanings, à la Alsu ("rose-colored water). This is such an interesting thread to read !

I love names that are airy, energetic, and vowel-heavy. At the same time, I like a name with a powerful or strong meaning, something that says, “I’m perfect and wonderfully made, and no one can tell me otherwise.”

Mythology names and nature names are perennial favorites of mine. I tend to favor names that are either consonant heavy or have an equal number of consonants and vowels. Two and three syllable names dominate my list, with obvious exceptions.

I love nature names, mythological names and names connected to the earth in any way. I don’t usually like names starting with G or K, it’s a Synesthesia thing. I like names with meaningful and beautiful meanings.

I have a ton of names I like with -ie nicknames including a whole list of -y full names that have -ie nicknames. [name_f]Celestial[/name_f] names. Also names that have matching amounts of letters or similar elemants like all have a double letter or more obvious themes like all bird names or all flowers in the middle.

I have a great appreciate for mythology names, celestial names, biblical, and really anything. But that’s just what my taste is. I also don’t mind a good classic or something more unusual.

I love Icelandic nature and word names, and also Greek mythology names, rare virtue names, Hebrew names, and short and spunky names for girls.

I like mythology names, celestial names, nature names, and “old fashioned” names! I like names that are flowy and approachable, that seem familiar but are not too popular, two-three syllables with many nickname options, and usually have more consonants than vowels
