Faye

Any thoughts or opinions on [name]Faye[/name]? I really love it but feel it might be a little to bland and boring. I love the meaning, the simplicity and how beautiful it is, but a few people I’ve mentioned it to [name]IRL[/name] have called it boring. What do you Berries think?

I think maybe if you spell it [name]Fae[/name] its less boring because it’s another word for Faerie which adds such an element of fantasy to the name. Its also an amazing back up middle name if you decide against it as a fn.

[name]Faye[/name] would be adorable for middle name, but I’m not sure about using it as first name. I think it’s a little bit short and nicknamey compared to your daughters’ names, [name]Elena[/name] and [name]Violet[/name], right?

I know a girl named [name]Fay[/name] (not sure how she spells it). It’s not boring to me because I automatically think of fairies, which are whimsical and Victorian-esque to me. So I like it, although I’d pair it with a solid middle like [name]Juliet[/name] or [name]Violet[/name].

I like [name]Faye[/name]. I think I prefer it spelled [name]Fay[/name] though to streamline it. It has a simplicity to it, but it’s classy/polished to me. As names123 suggested, [name]Fae[/name] does make it a little bit more “exciting” - [name]Fae[/name] was one of the names I wanted to use when I was expecting the twins. I was mostly looking at it as a mn. I got away from it though somehow. Our dd [name]Fiona[/name], goes by [name]Fae[/name] sometimes though cause I still loved the name. It is a stretch, but I with use, pretty much any nn can stick. (We also use Fi, [name]Fifi[/name], and [name]Fina[/name] – little [name]Fiona[/name] goes by alot of things. haha)

I like [name]Faye[/name] but only as a MN. I don’t think it’s necessarily boring just not substantial enough to be a FN. It kind of seems like a NN. I think it could make a nice MN though for a lot of the names on your list though

With [name]Elena[/name] and [name]Violet[/name], I’d use it as a nickname for [name]Freya[/name] and think that would make a nice sibset.

I do like [name]Faye[/name], but I agree with the others that it’s a bit too short and plain next to [name]Elena[/name] and [name]Violet[/name]. I think [name]Felicity[/name], nn [name]Faye[/name], would be perfect, though! I usually find it plain in general but I do think it could be a nice MN… I especially like [name]Emilia[/name] [name]Faye[/name]. I knew someone who had that combo at the top of her list and I thought it was just stunning and so fairy-like. I think [name]Elena[/name], [name]Violet[/name], and [name]Felicity[/name] ([name]Laney[/name], Lo, and [name]Faye[/name]) would be perfect for sisters, though! [name]Do[/name] you still call [name]Violet[/name] Lo?

[name]Faye[/name] is a family name for me, so I love it! I love it anyway, though, because of how soft and feminine and whimsical it is. I prefe rthe [name]Fae[/name] spelling though. I like it fine with [name]Elena[/name] and [name]Violet[/name]. They’re all lovely and feminine!

I love [name]Faye[/name], like you I like the simplicity and gentle feeling of it. I relate it to [name]Faye[/name] Dunaway and there is nothing boring about her, a very vivid personality and that adds an extra dimension to the name.

I would call [name]Faye[/name] simple, but not at all boring as a first name. Like joel613 mentioned, it makes me think of [name]Faye[/name] Dunaway. It seems elegant and strong.

I like [name]Faye[/name]- spelled that way- [name]Fay[/name] is good, but [name]Fae[/name] is a whole other thing and I’m not into it. I don’t think it’s boring. It’s short and sweet and has a simplicity. I think it’s a really good choice for a fn.

I love [name]Faye[/name] but I prefer a [name]Freya[/name] nn [name]Fey[/name].

I love [name]Faye[/name] in the first or middle spot. I think it’s lovely and I definitely prefer it with the e at the end - [name]Faye[/name]- just seems more stylish/chic to me.
