Feedback for Top Ten Boys

I’ve been working on my list for a while now and would love some feedback! Which are your favorites? Which combos do you like? It helps most if you actually let me know the reasons behind your choices  Thanks!

[name]Dashiell[/name] [name]Soren[/name]
[name]Graeme[/name] [name]Cassius[/name]

Girls list: Nameberry - Welcome to the Nameberry Forums

I’ve gotten lots of feedback for my girls list, but would love some for boys…? Thanks!

I love [name]Julian[/name] [name]Wilder[/name] from your list. It sounds like the name of a famous writer.

[name]Arthur[/name] [name]Jonah[/name] - love it. Great combination, it sounds great. I like both names a lot!
[name]Cormac[/name] [name]Rowan[/name] - I’m not fond of [name]Cormac[/name], though I love [name]Rowan[/name]. [name]Dashiell[/name] [name]Rowan[/name] would be great. [name]Mathias[/name] [name]Rowan[/name] would be fabulous.
[name]Julian[/name] [name]Wilder[/name] - the flow is beautiful! [name]Julian[/name] isn’t one I really like, it’s a bit too feminine for my taste. [name]Wilder[/name] is a neat mn though. [name]Everett[/name] [name]Wilder[/name] would be nice.
[name]Russell[/name] [name]Mathias[/name] - again, the flow is great on this one, but I’m not very fond of [name]Russell[/name], love [name]Mathias[/name] though.
[name]Clark[/name] [name]Ezra[/name] - I like both names, but I don’t think they go together very well. [name]Clark[/name] [name]Mathias[/name]? [name]Dashiell[/name] [name]Ezra[/name]? I think [name]Clark[/name] needs the balance of a 3 syllable mn
[name]Dashiell[/name] [name]Soren[/name] - I like [name]Dashiell[/name]. [name]Soren[/name] isn’t a favorite though, but it’s not bad. [name]Dashiell[/name] [name]Finlay[/name]?
[name]Graeme[/name] [name]Cassius[/name] - I like [name]Graham[/name], I’ve never seen the spelling [name]Graeme[/name]. Not sure about the flow with [name]Cassius[/name], it’s a bit clunky. [name]Graeme[/name] [name]Mathias[/name]?
[name]Milo[/name] [name]Atlas[/name] - the L’s run into each other a bit, but I like both names. [name]Milo[/name] [name]Russell[/name]? [name]Milo[/name] [name]Everett[/name]?
[name]Adrian[/name] [name]Fisher[/name] - I feel similar about [name]Adrian[/name] as I do about [name]Julian[/name] (I knew a female [name]Adrienne[/name] as a kid, so it always feels like a girls name to me). The flow of the combo is really great.
[name]Everett[/name] [name]Finlay[/name] - I like this one a lot, both names are nice, if a bit trendy, and the flow is very nice as well.

[name]Arthur[/name] [name]Jonah[/name] - I love these two names and the combo is fine if your surname is not two-syllables long.
[name]Cormac[/name] [name]Rowan[/name] - I like both names but together they seem like an Irish name overdose
[name]Julian[/name] [name]Wilder[/name] - I love the softer [name]Julian[/name] with the dangerous sound of [name]Wilder[/name] in the middle spot.
[name]Russell[/name] [name]Mathias[/name] - I like [name]Matthias[/name] with two t’s. [name]Russell[/name] isn’t a fave name of mine but the combo flows well.
[name]Clark[/name] [name]Ezra[/name] - I like both names but they blend into each other to form one long name (Clarkezra)
[name]Dashiell[/name] [name]Soren[/name] - I like both names but the pronounced s’s in both names make the flow lispy.
[name]Graeme[/name] [name]Cassius[/name] - These two names work well together. I love [name]Cassius[/name]!
[name]Milo[/name] [name]Atlas[/name] - Back-to-back vowels aren’t ideal but this combo is ok. I love [name]Milo[/name] much more than [name]Atlas[/name].
[name]Adrian[/name] [name]Fisher[/name] - I love softer boys names like [name]Adrian[/name] but I’m not crazy about the occupational name of [name]Fisher[/name] (unless it’s a family name)
[name]Everett[/name] [name]Finlay[/name] - The t and the f interrupt the flow of the combo. I like both names but this combo breaks my rule: one surname per combo is best.

I love [name]Julian[/name] [name]Wilder[/name], SO much. [name]Arthur[/name] [name]Jonah[/name] is very handsome and well balanced. Those are my two faves, but all of your top ten are great.

Thank you! [name]Julian[/name] is my long-time favorite, and one of the only names where the popularity wouldn’t affect my decision to use it. The softness of it (femininity?) is actually part of why I like it (same with [name]Adrian[/name], [name]Dashiell[/name]). I’m glad that you guys are liking the combination of [name]Julian[/name] [name]Wilder[/name] - I agree that it sounds like a famous name and is literary, which I love. [name]Arthur[/name] and [name]Jonah[/name] are both new favorites, and I am also loving this combination.

[name]Julian[/name] [name]Wilder[/name] or [name]Everett[/name] [name]Finley[/name]. But I really love [name]Julian[/name]!

[name]Julian[/name] [name]Wilder[/name] is very balanced and alluring. Others that caught my interest: [name]Russell[/name] [name]Matthias[/name] and [name]Adrian[/name] [name]Fisher[/name].

[name]Arthur[/name] [name]Jonah[/name] - I love the name [name]Arthur[/name], probably because it’s my favorite uncle’s name. [name]Jonah[/name] is okay, but not really one of my favorites.
[name]Cormac[/name] [name]Rowan[/name] - I like them both separately, especially [name]Cormac[/name], but together they feel like too much unless you’re actually Irish.
[name]Julian[/name] [name]Wilder[/name] - I’ve always liked [name]Julian[/name], even though it does seem feminine. Boys can be gentle and sensitive, too, though. I surprise myself by actually really liking [name]Wilder[/name] as a MN. Not my style at all, but someone else mentioned it recently and it sounded so good. It also balances the softness of [name]Julian[/name] nicely. This is prob your best combo.
[name]Russell[/name] [name]Mathias[/name]
[name]Clark[/name] [name]Ezra[/name]
[name]Dashiell[/name] [name]Soren[/name]
[name]Graeme[/name] [name]Cassius[/name] - I know someone who used [name]Graeme[/name] as her daughter’s middle name. She said it was the feminine spelling of [name]Graham[/name], but it could be unisex, I don’t know. [name]Just[/name] something you may want to consider looking into.
[name]Milo[/name] [name]Atlas[/name]
[name]Adrian[/name] [name]Fisher[/name]
[name]Everett[/name] [name]Finlay[/name]

like best:
[name]Arthur[/name] [name]Jonah[/name]
[name]Julian[/name] [name]Wilder[/name]

Would like to suggest a new approach on: [name]Russell[/name] [name]Mathias[/name] and [name]Clark[/name] [name]Ezra[/name]
options: [name]Clark[/name] [name]Russell[/name] or [name]Russell[/name] [name]Clark[/name] otherwise go for a longer MN like [name]Clark[/name] [name]Sebastian[/name]
personally do not care for [name]Mathias[/name] nor [name]Ezra[/name]

[name]Dashiell[/name] [name]Soren[/name] - like FN, MN not so much, would also prefer a MN that does not start with S
for example [name]Dashiell[/name] [name]Adrian[/name]

[name]Graeme[/name] [name]Cassius[/name] - good flow would prefer spelling FN [name]Graham[/name]

[name]Milo[/name] [name]Atlas[/name] - would pair [name]Milo[/name] with longer MN, [name]Milo[/name] [name]Everett[/name] as suggested above or [name]Milo[/name] [name]Sebastian[/name].

[name]Adrian[/name] [name]Fisher[/name] - like [name]Adrian[/name], [name]Fisher[/name] not so much

[name]Everett[/name] [name]Finlay[/name] - I agree with mischa one surname per combo is best

[name]Arthur[/name] [name]Jonah[/name]- I like [name]Arthur[/name] but not a fan of it with [name]Jonah[/name]
[name]Cormac[/name] [name]Rowan[/name] - very strong name, great combo
[name]Julian[/name] [name]Wilder[/name]- this a fun combo, although it depends on your last name with [name]Wilder[/name]
[name]Russell[/name] [name]Mathias[/name] -> not a fan of either name
[name]Clark[/name] [name]Ezra[/name] -> [name]Clark[/name] is ok, but [name]Ezra[/name] doesn’t work for the middle in my opinion. [name]Ezra[/name] [name]Clark[/name] is nice though
[name]Dashiell[/name] [name]Soren[/name] -> I am not on the [name]Dashiell[/name] bandwagon, I feel both these names are very trendy especially on the naming boards
[name]Graeme[/name] [name]Cassius[/name] -> handsome, [name]Graeme[/name] is soft while [name]Cassius[/name] gives it some edge
[name]Milo[/name] [name]Atlas[/name] -> very handsome, [name]Atlas[/name] is a fun middle name
[name]Adrian[/name] [name]Fisher[/name]-> not a fan of either name
[name]Everett[/name] [name]Finlay[/name]-> I love [name]Everett[/name] but not big on [name]Finlay[/name], [name]Everett[/name] [name]Finn[/name] is handsome though.

My favorites are [name]Cormac[/name] [name]Rowan[/name] and [name]Graeme[/name] [name]Cassius[/name]

Didn’t read any of the responses yet so I wouldn’t be swayed, but it will after I post
[name]Arthur[/name] [name]Jonah[/name]- I love [name]Arthur[/name]. It’s one of my favorite A names and sounds quite dignified. My only concern would be nicknames… I’m just no fan of [name]Art[/name] or [name]Arty[/name]. [name]Jonah[/name] is ok with it, I kind of prefer [name]Arthur[/name] [name]Jonas[/name]
[name]Cormac[/name] [name]Rowan[/name] - a little strong on the irish feel. I love both names on their own, but together they kind of compete for attention. I think it might have to do with both being two syllables.
[name]Julian[/name] [name]Wilder[/name]- Oooh very nice. He sounds like an artist or writer. I have a little trouble saying both L sounds after each other, but that’s probably just me. Written out especially, it looks really nice.
[name]Russell[/name] [name]Mathias[/name]- this sounds good too. Some would probably say [name]Russell[/name] is older. While the only two I know are about 50 and 60 years old I still like the name, esp the nn [name]Russ[/name]. It has an endearing charm to me.
[name]Clark[/name] [name]Ezra[/name]- I’m partial to both of these names. [name]Clark[/name] is strong but unassuming (gotta be the superman association coming through in my mind), and [name]Ezra[/name] is one that keeps popping up on my gp/middle name list. I prefer the flow of them switched, however. [name]Ezra[/name] [name]Clark[/name] is really handsome.
[name]Dashiell[/name] [name]Soren[/name]- [name]Dashiell[/name] hasn’t ever been a favorite of mine, it sounds like a cartoon character name to me. [name]Soren[/name] is good though.
[name]Graeme[/name] [name]Cassius[/name]- I understand this spelling but it’s not my favorite. Then again the sound is lovely. Maybe I just prefer one syllable names in the middle spot, but this is another I like switched around.
[name]Milo[/name] [name]Atlas[/name]- I like it but it feels a little trendy/hipster to me.
[name]Adrian[/name] [name]Fisher[/name]- that’s a lovely name. Handsome (maybe because I had a crush on my brother’s friend named [name]Adrian[/name] in high school!) and really good match for the middle.
[name]Everett[/name] [name]Finlay[/name]- I’d put this in my top 3 or so. I want to switch these two around as well, but the more I say them how they are the more I like it.

My top picks are: [name]Adrian[/name] [name]Fisher[/name], [name]Clark[/name] [name]Ezra[/name] (or [name]Ezra[/name] [name]Clark[/name]), [name]Everett[/name] [name]Finlay[/name] and either [name]Julian[/name] [name]Wilder[/name] or [name]Russell[/name] [name]Mathias[/name].

[name]Julian[/name] [name]Wilder[/name] is one of the most handsome boys’ names I’ve ever heard!

You have some other great names on your list - [name]Everett[/name] [name]Finlay[/name], [name]Adrian[/name] [name]Fisher[/name], [name]Graeme[/name] (love this spelling!) [name]Cassius[/name] - but [name]Julian[/name] [name]Wilder[/name] is head and shoulders above them for me.

So much love for [name]Julian[/name] [name]Wilder[/name]! I really like it as well  I get the issues with [name]Cormac[/name] [name]Rowan[/name], [name]Clark[/name] [name]Ezra[/name], and [name]Dashiell[/name] [name]Soren[/name]. I realize [name]Russell[/name] might seem a little dated, but I don’t actually know any, and I love the nickname [name]Russ[/name].

[name]Arthur[/name] [name]Jonah[/name] - I like [name]Arthur[/name] and [name]Jonah[/name]…but they don’t work together for me.
[name]Cormac[/name] [name]Rowan[/name] - [name]Cormac[/name] isn’t bad…just not my style. [name]Rowan[/name] is one of the few unisex names I like better on a girl.
[name]Julian[/name] [name]Wilder[/name] - I really like this combo from your list. It sounds smart and sophisticated.
[name]Russell[/name] [name]Mathias[/name] - [name]Russell[/name] is pretty cute. [name]Don[/name]'t care for the middle name option.
[name]Clark[/name] [name]Ezra[/name] - I love both of the names…but again I don’t think the combo sounds right.
[name]Dashiell[/name] [name]Soren[/name] - Not my style
[name]Graeme[/name] [name]Cassius[/name] - Not bad.
[name]Milo[/name] [name]Atlas[/name] - [name]Love[/name] [name]Milo[/name]. [name]Atlas[/name] isn’t my style, but I actually dig it with [name]Milo[/name]. Cute combo.
[name]Adrian[/name] [name]Fisher[/name] - [name]Adrian[/name] is good. [name]Fisher[/name] is a horrible choice. Sorry.
[name]Everett[/name] [name]Finlay[/name] - This is a nice combo as well.

My absolute favourite from your list is [name]Julian[/name] [name]Wilder[/name] though.

I like [name]Arthur[/name] [name]Jonah[/name] and [name]Milo[/name] [name]Atlas[/name] best.

I’ve never heard of [name]Graeme[/name] on a girl, and I know quite a few male Graemes as it happens, so I don’t think that’s gone unisex yet.

I like [name]Julian[/name] [name]Wilder[/name], [name]Milo[/name] [name]Atlas[/name], and [name]Everett[/name] [name]Finlay[/name]. Would also like [name]Milo[/name] [name]Everett[/name].
