What do you think of [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] [name_f]Leonor[/name_f] “Merlowe” (not this last name but putting in something with similar rhythm and O ending)?
[name_f][/name_f]
What vibes does [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] give to you? [name_f]Imagery[/name_f]?
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you like it as a sister to Will@ even though not the “perfect” sibset (would normally want different endings etc)?
[name_f][/name_f]
Right order of middles (I had it the other way around but think this order works better once last name accounted for).
[name_f][/name_f]
Does [name_f]Leonor[/name_f] need an “e” on end [name_f][/name_f]- even though wanting to honour a Spanish person?
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Delphine[/name_f] was my grandmother’s name. Any better -ine names for that spot? And any better Spanish names for second middle?
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] is stunning! I love her zippy sound and nature-y feel. She’s very autumnal to me – but more [name_f][/name_f] sharp laughter of children jumping into a pile of leaves and hiking up a scenic hill[name_f][/name_f] than twirling in a field with a basket of baked goods… if that makes any sense at all. Adventurous over cottagecore, I suppose. [name_f][/name_f]I actually really enjoy [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] with Will@. They’re definitely not my first thought for sisters, but they’re both very autumnal to me, despite [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] sounding a little sharper than the very soft and cozy Will@. [name_f][/name_f]For me, at least, I think the order of middles should be swapped. I don’t love how the sounds of [name_f]Leonor[/name_f] & “Merlowe” are so similar next to each other, specifically the R’s & L’s. [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Leonor[/name_f] [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] Merlowe breaks it up a little more, and still flows wonderfully. [name_f][/name_f]I like [name_f]Leonor[/name_f] without the “e”! Not only would she better honor the Spanish person, but I like the visually differing endings of [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] & [name_f]Leonor[/name_f] over [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] & [name_f]Leonore[/name_f].
Oooh, [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] [name_f]Leonor[/name_f] is gorgeous! It feels stylish, energetic, and spiky but with elegance and sweetness too!
[name_f][/name_f][name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] gives me sassy and energetic vibes, but friendly and charming too. It feels golden and blue [name_f][/name_f]- both buttercups and colour, blocky patterns, but also mountains against blue skies and white clouds. I don’t know why, but that’s just what I get!
I once tried to explain the regulars on this site (actually over this past Xmas, to my aunt) and I basically described you all as wonderful creatives & writers. Thank you for your glorious depiction of [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- I completely get that she’s not bringing the baked goods ().
[name_f][/name_f]
I’ll test out the order again.I wish I could just you know the real last name and you could better see the slight wonkiness with [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] second, even though I visually prefer it there.
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] has a fierce, energetic, and cool vibe. Whenever I think of this name, I envision snow, colorful skies, and mountains. In my mind, Will@ and [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] are two strong-willed, intelligent, and creative sisters. They’re curious, independent, and resilient. Will@ is the quiet, gentle and protective older sister, while [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] is usually the most talkative and cheerful sister.
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] may not be the first name that crosses my mind as Will@'s sister, but I think it works beautifully! The pair feels balanced, intriguing, and refreshing. In my first language, most feminine names end in -a, so having two names with the -a ending in a sibling set doesn’t bother me at all.
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] [name_f]Leonor[/name_f] is a gorgeous, vivacious, and radiant name!
[name_f][/name_f][name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Leonor[/name_f] is a beautiful name on its own. I might be a bit biased, given that it’s also a Portuguese name, but I believe the spelling is truly lovely, especially if you’re looking to honor someone with Spanish heritage. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you fear think [name_f]Leonor[/name_f] might be misspelled often where you live? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you believe [name_f]Leonore[/name_f] would be more intuitive and easier for your child to live with? Middles names are not used everyday, so I believe [name_f]Leonor[/name_f] is a safe choice even in an English-speaking country. Have you considered [name_f]Leona[/name_f]?
[name_f][/name_f]
As for names ending in -ine, some of my favorites are [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], [name_f]Eveline[/name_f], [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f], and [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f]. I think they all pair well with [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] _____ [name_f]Leonor[/name_f]. However, [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] clearly holds deep personal meaning to you, which is very important!
[name_f][/name_f]
I believe you should keep your original combination. It’s perfect as it is!
Thanks for the super generous and heartwarming response! I can see how it has a mix of colours and images because of the (unusual) letter & sound patterns! [name_f]Glad[/name_f] you enjoy it, given your expertise. How pretty is [name_f]Leire[/name_f]! Definitely thinking more about that one, and of course [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is always up there for me.
Thank you for your detailed reply - these sorts of posts take time and energy so I really appreciate it. I also get pluckish, sunny skies & wintertime imagery. The description of the two sisters touched me - Will@ is wilful, creative & insightful (and naturally introverted though she’s entertaining) so this all checks out so far! Her name also means resolute protector. Anyway, again, much appreciated - and you’ve also helped clarify the Leonor spelling.
