Feedback on my list please?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m], I’m from the Writers’ Corner, I don’t spend much time other places, but a massively long list just, like, materialized out of nowhere today, and I want to know what y’all think of these names. Please be honest but not brutally so? If that makes sense. Like, please be nice, but if you don’t like it, please also say that (and preferably also say why). You don’t have to do all of these, there are a lot of them, and I’d appreciate whatever feedback you can give. Thank you so much!

[name_m]Ronan[/name_m] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f]
[name_f]Seren[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f] (Is this someone’s combo already? I feel like it might be. . . it’s so pretty. . .)
[name_f]Seren[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Bryony[/name_f]
Enver [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] (b)
[name_m]Cassander[/name_m] Petrel (I love this one, it’s weird but I love it)
[name_f]Briony[/name_f] [name_f]Soleil[/name_f]
[name_f]Elanor[/name_f] [name_f]Seren[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Fay[/name_f]
[name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Serenity[/name_f] Moth (another weird-but-I-love-it)
[name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] [name_m]Finnegan[/name_m] [name_m]Sol[/name_m] (I love [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] here)
[name_f]Eluned[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]
[name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]
[name_f]Elanor[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]
[name_f]Helena[/name_f] [name_f]Viatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f]
[name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Cassia[/name_f]
[name_m]Leander[/name_m] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_m]Rome[/name_m] (eee)
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Aoife[/name_f] [name_f]Moon[/name_f] (or [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]. . . I’m not sure)
[name_m]Deverell[/name_m] Moth (b)
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] Seabird
Enver Seabird (b)
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_f]Searose[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Minerva[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Blue[/name_f]

[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_m]James[/name_m] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]
[name_f]Carolina[/name_f] [name_f]Essie[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f]
[name_f]Esmée[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] (or [name_f]Esme[/name_f] or Esmé)
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] (could go for a second middle here)
[name_m]Coriander[/name_m] [name_m]Quill[/name_m] (n)

You did, thank you! Yeah, I don’t know what it is with [name_m]James[/name_m] here–I usually really don’t like it on a girl at all. But somehow, [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] makes it a girls’ name? I don’t know. This is excellent feedback (Moth is definitely a GP that I’m trying to make work based off of the fact that my grandmother’s middle name is [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f]. . . it’s a stretch :joy:)

[name_m]Soren[/name_m] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] - love how this is soft but not fragile - something quite elegant about it

[name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] - it flows nicely and I like the elegance, the sophistication but I think I prefer the above - maybe it’s the -rose [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] - a bit too literally floral?

[name_m]Ronan[/name_m] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] - earthy with cottagecore vibes - [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] makes gentle [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] feel rough-and-tumble somehow

[name_f]Seren[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f] - it might just be my accent / enunciation, but while I love the starry night vibe and both of the names, it gets a bit mushed together when I say it sereneve (like Genevieve…)

[name_f]Seren[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Bryony[/name_f] - this helps with the above problem for me - lovely imagery and sound

Enver [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] - this is great - earthy and cosy and autumnal

[name_m]Cassander[/name_m] Petrel - I had to look up Petrel - maybe a bit too ‘petrol’ for me but I lovvve [name_m]Cassander[/name_m] and the idea of [name_m]Cassander[/name_m] with a bird name is pleasing

[name_f]Briony[/name_f] [name_f]Soleil[/name_f] - so summery and lovely

[name_f]Elanor[/name_f] [name_f]Seren[/name_f] - do you mind that it means ‘sun star’ ‘star’? It is a lovely combo - sort of magical, forest-y vibes

[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Fay[/name_f] - vintage and sweet

[name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Serenity[/name_f] Moth - I like it - clunky cute and Moth is so cool! Random thought: [name_f]Timothea[/name_f] ‘Moth’ would be kind of fun

[name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] [name_m]Finnegan[/name_m] [name_m]Sol[/name_m] - beautiful!! I love it - playful but elegant

[name_f]Eluned[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] - intriguing balance - feels sort of witchy and cool

[name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] -I like this too, nice blend of sounds

[name_f]Elanor[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] - classic with a twist - I do prefer the others

[name_f]Helena[/name_f] [name_f]Viatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f] - ooh, this is magical, a hint of mystique with a classic feel too

[name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Cassia[/name_f] - lovely and bright red imagery

[name_m]Leander[/name_m] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_m]Rome[/name_m] - whimsical and lovely

[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Aoife[/name_f] [name_f]Moon[/name_f] - ooh, this is so lovely - magical and bright - I’m usually a [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] fan but [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] works best here imo

[name_m]Deverell[/name_m] Moth - handsome and charming

[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] Seabird - I like this - the wild-ocean-vibes

Enver Seabird - rugged and lovely

[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_f]Searose[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f] - whimsical and arty

[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Minerva[/name_f] - I quite like it, especially the first two names - I think I’d prefer a different second middle - like [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f], [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Elowen[/name_f]

[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Blue[/name_f] - magical and musical

[name_f]Ferelith[/name_f] [name_f]Iseult[/name_f] - ooh gorgeous, magical and poetic

[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_f]Vienna[/name_f] [name_m]James[/name_m] - yes to the first to, no to [name_m]James[/name_m], sorry (as a name in general, not just because its on a girl). [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_f]Vienna[/name_f] [name_m]Jett[/name_m], [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_f]Vienna[/name_f] [name_m]Axel[/name_m], [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_f]Vienna[/name_f] [name_m]Jax[/name_m]?

[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_m]James[/name_m] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] - similar to above, [name_m]James[/name_m] is not for me

[name_f]Carolina[/name_f] [name_f]Essie[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] - this is cute with southern vibes

[name_f]Esmée[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] - cute and stylish - I like [name_f]Esme[/name_f], but would you be saying it as Ez-may or Ez-mee

[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] - sassy and cool with plenty of spark - [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f], [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Iseult[/name_f], [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Kestrel[/name_f]?

[name_m]Coriander[/name_m] [name_m]Quill[/name_m] - pretty cute and zippy

It’s definitely EZ-may. Thank you so much for this lovely feedback! Do you think Ophelia Vienna Jem solves the problem? Ophelia Jett Marie?

[name_f]Beautiful[/name_f] list!

[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Fay[/name_f] is my favourite. It’s very ethereal

I’ll try to discuss some combos in combination to make this a little shorter!!

Out of the __ Lavender combos, Ronan Lavender is my favourite! Although Soren Lavender is also handsome, I like the flow of Ronan Lavender, and it has an interesting aesthetic with the more feisty, cool Ronan, paired with the gentle Lavender! Ambrose Lavender is also really cool in theory but like someone else pointed out, it’s maybe a tad bit too floral.

Seren Eve is enchanting! I do like it better on its own, without Bryony, because I think it has a sweet & magical vibe that Bryony doesn’t necessarily add to, but I’m definitely biased because I don’t usually like combos with two middles in general.

Enver Hazel - One of my favourites! Enver is sooo cool, handsome, and underrated, and Hazel on a boy is darling. That said, I like Enver Seabird even more! It has a really rugged, storybook vibe.

Cassander Petrel - I don’t find it weird! I’m curious about the origin of Petrel, since I can’t find anything about it on NB or other name sites, but as a whole I like the combo – it has a slightly obscure, European vibe, which is definitely my style!

Briony Soleil - I admittedly like the Bryony spelling a bit more, but this combo is cute! It feels modern and on-trend, but still unexpected.

Elanor Seren - I’m not a fan of this version of Eleanor, the sound just doesn’t sound that appealing to me. It’s perfectly fine with Seren, although not my favourite middle, I think something like Elanor Soleil would flow more nicely! Or your Elanor Margaret, which comes up later, is a better match in my opinion.

Rosemary Eleanor Fay - I really enjoy how this sounds, and this spelling of Fay! Rosemary is so lovely and I don’t see her enough as a first name, so this is a great combo.

Olive Serenity Moth - I’m not opposed to Moth, I mean, moths are quite cute! But this combo is definitely too wordy imo, with 3 word names in the mix. I’d pair Moth with a more traditional first name and one that isn’t a word: Beatrice Moth, Helena Moth, or Elanor Moth, maybe.

Ambrose Finnegan Sol - Cool combo, I like all three names, and I think Sol is such an underrated little gem! I’d honestly like it better as just Ambrose Sol, there’s something slightly whimsical about it without the cool trendy vibe of Finnegan in the mix, but it’s a great combo even with both middles.

Eluned Margaret / Elowen Margaret / Elanor Margaret - Eluned Margaret is definitely my favourite! Eluned is just a bit more eye-catching, and Margaret’s strong, classic feel enhances it for me. I love seeing Margaret btw, despite being such a timeless choice it’s not used that often in combos on here!

Helena Viatrix Faye - Ooh, I really like Viatrix, that’s a fun choice! I do think the Fay spelling works better here, since Faye feels almost a little too modern next to Helena and Viatrix. Regardless, beautiful combo & flow!

Ruby Cassia - It’s nice! Some people pronounce Cassia as 2 syllables which doesn’t make for the best flow, and it just doesn’t sparkle to me as much as the rest, but it’s perfectly fine! I’d maybe add a second middle to this one?

Leander Hazel Rome - All 3 names are really cool, although I’d like it better as just Leander Rome!

Beatrice Aoife Moon - Absolutely gorgeous! I like Beatrice more than Beatrix here, something a little more traditional to balance out Aoife’s cool edge and Moon’s uniqueness.

Deverell Moth & Cordelia Seabird - I do like them, although the middles are very bold and I generally prefer slightly safer first names with out-there middles. But they have great vibes and feel so cool !

Cordelia Searose Faye - Faye doesn’t add anything here imo, but I really like Cordelia Searose, more so than Cordelia Seabird. Searose is new to m and I really like it !!

Out of your Felicity combos, I like Felicity Elowen Blue the best !! Felicity Violet Minerva is fine, but just a little less “wow!” and I like that Felicity Elowen Blue is super memorable but at the same time not that out-there.

Ferelith Iseult - Lovely combo! I don’t have much to say haha but I do like it a lot

I’m really not a fan of James on a girl, although if I had to pick an Ophelia combo, I’d pick Ophelia Vienna James, since in Ophelia James Marie, Marie feels redundant to me.

Carolina Essie May - This one is really adorable! I’d like it a little bit more as Caroline Essie May (or Karolina Essie May, for the -leena pronunciation because I’m not sure if Carolina is -leena or -liena, and I’m not so huge on -liena, but that’s just me!)

Esmée Josephine - Love this spelling! Super chic and warm vibes

Saskia Ruby - I think I’d also like to see this with a second middle, maybe something a little more classic! I do like Saskia a lot

Coriander Quill - Maybe a little wordy for me? But both names are very cool & handsome!

That’s my fave pronunciation

Ophelia Vienna Jem is so cute  I love Ophelia Jett Marie too

Thank you! I pronounce it care-oh-LIE-na, like the states, but I like -leena here too.

You have a gorgeous list! (apologies in advance for my rambling, I tend to do this a lot…)

[name_m]Soren[/name_m] Lavender/Ambrose Lavender/Ronan [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] - [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite of these is [name_m]Soren[/name_m] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f]. I LOVE [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] on a boy - I think it adds such a freshness to the combo if that makes sense?? - and I think its so beautiful with [name_m]Soren[/name_m], which is on my long list. [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] I also like for similar a reason. [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] is not my personal style, but that’s not a criticism of the combo as it flows really nicely! [name_f]Love[/name_f] this one overall! 9/10
[name_f]Seren[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f] - This isn’t my combo, but It could be lol, she’d fit right in with my style. I clearly like S_ren names because [name_f]Seren[/name_f] is so beautiful to me. [name_m]Strong[/name_m] but soft, feminine but not frilly. [name_m]Just[/name_m] great. [name_f]Eve[/name_f] is basically the most perfect combination of sounds ever, and [name_f]Eva[/name_f] is one of my top two girls names so ofc I love it. I think [name_f]Seren[/name_f] Eve’s flow is a tiny bit off to my ears, but I’m just nit-picking because overall I love it! [name_f]Bryony[/name_f] just sounds like [name_m]Brian[/name_m] to me, so it gives me a dated feel, but that’s probably just me, it’s a perfectly nice name! 9/10
Enver [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] - Enver reminds me of envy for some reason. [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] is nms but a nice sound! 5/10
[name_m]Cassander[/name_m] Petrel - [name_m]Cassander[/name_m] is great - an underused ‘cas’ name that’s great w your list. I’m not sure how to say Petrel - is it like Petrol? Because if so I find that odd.
[name_f]Briony[/name_f] [name_f]Soleil[/name_f] - Although I don’t adore [name_f]Briony[/name_f], I love [name_f]Soleil[/name_f], and I think they go well sound-wise together. 5/10
[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Fay[/name_f] - Great flow, great names, love it. 9/10
[name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Serenity[/name_f] Moth - [name_f]Olive[/name_f] is my name so obviously I have some experience with it lol. If you want to know, most comments I get are about the food (no, I don’t like eating myself) but i don’t mind it. [name_f]Serenity[/name_f] is lovely and the flow it great. Moth isn’t my style but def works in the second middle spot here. 7/10
[name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] [name_m]Finnegan[/name_m] [name_m]Sol[/name_m] - This def works with the rest of your list, and although it’s not my personal taste, i admit it’s a very well-constructed combo (if that makes any sense at all) and has a nice ring to it! 8/10
[name_f]Eluned[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] - [name_f]Eluned[/name_f] is so underrated it hurts. [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] I only ever consider for the first spot in order to harness it’s nickname potential but I like it with [name_f]Eluned[/name_f].
As for [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] and [name_f]Elanor[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], I prefer [name_f]Eluned[/name_f] to both but they are still lovely. 8/10
[name_f]Helena[/name_f] [name_f]Viatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f] - LOVE this one. The subtle [name_f]Helena[/name_f] with the sparky [name_f]Viatrix[/name_f] and ending with the soft [name_f]Faye[/name_f] is beautiful. [name_f]Viatrix[/name_f] is a great alternative to [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] if uncommonness is what you are after. 10/10
[name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Cassia[/name_f] - [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] is another lovely name. I quite like it was [name_f]Cassia[/name_f]. 7/10
[name_m]Leander[/name_m] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_m]Rome[/name_m] - [name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_m]Leander[/name_m] and the flow is great, but [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] is really feminine to me (though I still like fem names on boys!) and [name_m]Rome[/name_m] just sounds like an incomplete [name_m]Roman[/name_m], but thats just me!! 7/10
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Aoife[/name_f] [name_f]Moon[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] to [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]. [name_f]Aoife[/name_f] is lovely and I ADORE [name_f]Moon[/name_f], its def unusual but creates great imagery if thats what you like. 8/10
[name_m]Deverell[/name_m] Moth - I don’t really like surnames-as-firstnames and [name_m]Deverell[/name_m] is no exception, so obviously i don’t like this one as much as my other combos, but that is solely my opinion and im not speaking on the name as a whole. 5/10
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_f]Searose[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f] - I’ve never heard of [name_f]Searose[/name_f] before but it’s immediately going on my long list lol. I’ve never got the hype around [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]. In my south [name_f]English[/name_f] accent it just sounds really pretentious lol, but [name_f]Searose[/name_f] grants it more spark which I love. [name_f]Faye[/name_f] goes well with everything. 8/10
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Minerva[/name_f] - [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f] were both in my top 5 names up until like a few months ago and I still have an everlasting love for them, especially together. Actually, I’m pretty sure before I started posting on nameberry I had even considered this exact combo lol (don’t worry! You can have it!) [name_f]Minerva[/name_f] i have never liked tho, idk why I just can’t imagine it on a child but I suppose if I met a child called that it would all change. 9/10
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Blue[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Minerva[/name_f], but to get the best of both world i’d like [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]. 7/10
[name_f]Ferelith[/name_f] [name_f]Iseult[/name_f] - [name_f]Ferelith[/name_f] makes me immediately think of fairies, which is lovely, and [name_f]Iseult[/name_f] makes that imagery go even harder (though I prefer Isolde). 8/10
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_f]Vienna[/name_f] [name_m]James[/name_m] - I think [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Vienna[/name_f] sound really similar in my head, and [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] is another one of those names that sounds really stuck-up and pretentious in my accent. Also not a fan of [name_m]James[/name_m] on a girl, like it sounds feminine enough but I think there are better options for that effect over the most popular male name ever. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] I wasn’t too harsh here! 5/10
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_m]James[/name_m] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] - comments to [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] and [name_m]James[/name_m] still apply. [name_f]Marie[/name_f] is nice but feels like a filler - I prefer it as a first name! 6/10
[name_f]Carolina[/name_f] [name_f]Essie[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] - [name_f]Carolina[/name_f] is beautiful. I haven’t heard of [name_f]Essie[/name_f] before, but it’s quite sweet and works well in this context. [name_f]May[/name_f] is always great (like Faye) and I agree with you that the [name_f]May[/name_f] spelling is better than the [name_f]Mae[/name_f] spelling. 8/10
[name_f]Esmée[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] - I think [name_f]Esme[/name_f] would work better in an [name_f]English[/name_f] speaking country, but honestly all spellings are lovely as it’s such a nice name. With [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], it’s absolutely gorgeous! Really, really like this one. 9/10
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] - [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] is beautifully powerful, and the sweet [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] really lets it shine. I do prefer [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] to [name_f]Saskia[/name_f], so my preference would be [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Saskia[/name_f]. I’m usually not a 2 middles person, but to fit in with the rest of your list you should probably find another middle! 9/10
[name_m]Coriander[/name_m] [name_m]Quill[/name_m] - like, [name_m]Coriander[/name_m], Dill… yeah im sorry I just think of herbs lol. Nice sound but maybe [name_m]Cassander[/name_m] instead? 4/10

I did not mean to write so much! [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps despite my rambling lol

Okay but [name_m]Cassander[/name_m] [name_m]Quill[/name_m] is stunning though? TYSM! Petrel is a lot like petrol I guess but it’s a type of bird and I love the -el ending. I was thinking [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] Wen or [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] (I like [name_f]May[/name_f] and [name_f]Mae[/name_f] pretty equally, and I prefer [name_f]Mae[/name_f] here because of the y in Ruby).
