Feedback on new names

I’ve been trying to come up with new names and combos to add to my list. Any and all feedback is very appreciated!

[name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Martina[/name_f]
[name_f]Andie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_u]Alani[/name_u] [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u]
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]
Luma [name_f]Nadine[/name_f]
[name_f]Alizah[/name_f] [name_u]Skye[/name_u]
[name_f]Lilith[/name_f] [name_u]Blue[/name_u]

[name_m]Ezra[/name_m] [name_u]Ellis[/name_u]
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_u]Orion[/name_u]
[name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_m]Bennett[/name_m]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] [name_m]Anthony[/name_m]
[name_u]Barrett[/name_u] [name_m]Zachary[/name_m]
[name_u]Salem[/name_u] [name_m]Malakai[/name_m]
[name_u]Neil[/name_u] Sheperd

[name_f]Willow[/name_f]*[name_f]Martina[/name_f] - I really like this!! It’s really unexpected and I like the flow

[name_f]Andie[/name_f]*[name_f]Rose[/name_f] - I’d usually prefer [name_f]Andie[/name_f] as a nickname but [name_f]Andie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is sweet. I could imagine it being used as a double name

[name_u]Alani[/name_u][name_u]Marlowe[/name_u]- quite nice, though unless I’m saying it wrong, I’m not sure on the repeated Ar sound of uh-lar-nee mar-lo? [name_f]Eleni[/name_f] [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u]?

[name_f]Arabella[/name_f]*[name_f]Daisy[/name_f] -pretty, frilly and elegant but also fun and lively

Luma*[name_f]Nadine[/name_f] -love [name_f]Nadine[/name_f] and Luma could grow on me maybe. [name_f]Lumi[/name_f] [name_f]Nadine[/name_f] would be sweet

[name_f]Alizah[/name_f]*[name_u]Skye[/name_u] - I’d probably go for the [name_f]Aliza[/name_f] spelling but otherwise a nice choice! Modern yet well established, also light and summery feeling

[name_f]Lilith[/name_f][name_u]Blue[/name_u]-i really like this. [name_u]Blue[/name_u] compliments the sleek mysterious sounds of [name_f]Lilith[/name_f]

[name_m]Ezra[/name_m]*[name_u]Ellis[/name_u] -i like the names individually a lot but I find them hard to say together. [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] [name_u]Hollis[/name_u], [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m], [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] [name_u]Elias[/name_u]? [name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_u]Ellis[/name_u]? [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] [name_m]Silas[/name_m]? [name_m]Evander[/name_m] [name_u]Ellis[/name_u]?

[name_m]Arthur[/name_m]*[name_u]Orion[/name_u] -love it! Great mix of familiar and classic with a celestial and unusual middle

[name_u]Luca[/name_u]*[name_m]Bennett[/name_m] - I like it. Soft yet with harsh sounds, a nice combo

[name_u]Noah[/name_u]*[name_m]Anthony[/name_m] -in not a big fan of Noahs popularity or [name_m]Anthony[/name_m] so this one isn’t for me. It does flow though

[name_u]Barrett[/name_u]*[name_m]Zachary[/name_m] - this has a great sound. Cool, modern, yet grounded and classic. It’s great

[name_u]Salem[/name_u]*[name_m]Malakai[/name_m]- not a big fan of [name_u]Salem[/name_u] or the [name_m]Malakai[/name_m] spelling

[name_u]Neil[/name_u]*Sheperd -[name_u]Neil[/name_u] isn’t for me but [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] is great and they flow really well together r

[name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Martina[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Willow[/name_f], but [name_f]Martina[/name_f] seems a bit of a strange choice in the middle here. They do flow, syllable-wise, I just feel as though [name_f]Willow[/name_f] is so pretty, [name_f]Martina[/name_f] feels a bit 90’s and anti-climatic, if you get what I mean.

[name_f]Andie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] - this is cute! But [name_f]Rose[/name_f] makes any name sound cute. Although [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is the middle of all middles, I do get a bit fed up of seeing it all the time. I think probably 90% of girls under 6 have this middle name. If that doesn’t bother you though, great! [name_f]Andie[/name_f] by itself is spunky, but I would prefer to have a longer name, and use [name_f]Andie[/name_f] as a nickname.

[name_u]Alani[/name_u] [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] - [name_u]Alani[/name_u] is okay, it doesn’t really do much for me. [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] is gorgeous though!

[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] - this is very feminine, cutesy, and sweet. Lots of nickname options too!

Luma [name_f]Nadine[/name_f] - This doesn’t do anything for me. I’d much rather [name_f]Luna[/name_f], and I have the same comments on [name_f]Nadine[/name_f] as I do [name_f]Martina[/name_f] (although I prefer [name_f]Nadine[/name_f].)

[name_f]Alizah[/name_f] [name_u]Skye[/name_u] - this is pretty! I’ve never been cute sure how to say [name_f]Alizah[/name_f] though. Is it the same as [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]? Or is it al-eez-uh?

[name_f]Lilith[/name_f] [name_u]Blue[/name_u] - [name_u]Love[/name_u] this! [name_u]Blue[/name_u] as a middle is a big crush for me atm. [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] is charming, despite it’s meaning.

[name_m]Ezra[/name_m] [name_u]Ellis[/name_u] - I love [name_m]Ezra[/name_m], and [name_u]Ellis[/name_u] is handsome. They seem odd to put together though, as they feel very similar.

[name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_u]Orion[/name_u] - I quite like [name_m]Arthur[/name_m]. Not keen on [name_u]Orion[/name_u], although the combination is nice.

[name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] - this is handsome! I have no criticism about either name

[name_u]Noah[/name_u] [name_m]Anthony[/name_m] - [name_u]Noah[/name_u] is so lovely, and [name_m]Anthony[/name_m] is a great middle. I do kind of think the names smoosh together a bit though, as [name_u]Noah[/name_u] ends in an A sound and [name_m]Anthony[/name_m] starts with one.

[name_u]Barrett[/name_u] [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] - Not keen on this, [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] [name_u]Barrett[/name_u] would be really handsome though.

[name_u]Salem[/name_u] [name_m]Malakai[/name_m] - Same as above, I’d rather [name_m]Malakai[/name_m] [name_u]Salem[/name_u]. [name_u]Salem[/name_u] is such a GP but would make an awesome middle.

[name_u]Neil[/name_u] Sheperd - [name_u]Neil[/name_u] is very ‘dad name’ imo. I like [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m]/[name_m]Shepard[/name_m] but this spelling feels a bit, wrong to me.

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

Here are my thoughts:

[name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Martina[/name_f]-This isn’t bad. I don’t love [name_f]Willow[/name_f], although I feel like I should. Not sure what it is. [name_f]Martina[/name_f] is not my style, but this is a nice combination.

[name_f]Andie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]-This is cute, but I really see [name_f]Andie[/name_f] more as a nn. I like [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f]!

[name_u]Alani[/name_u] [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] -Hm. I don’t think that this looks or sounds that great. I like [name_f]Eleni[/name_f] though. [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] is a little trendy sounding, but it’s fine as a mn.

[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]-This is gorgeous.

Luma [name_f]Nadine[/name_f]-I don’t know. Luma has sort of a weird sound. And it’ll probably get mistaken as [name_f]Luna[/name_f] a lot.

[name_f]Alizah[/name_f] [name_u]Skye[/name_u]-Hm. This spelling looks like it’s trying a little too hard. [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is darling though. I love [name_u]Skye[/name_u], but this combination has too many ‘s’ sounds and long ‘i’ sounds.

[name_f]Lilith[/name_f] [name_u]Blue[/name_u] -You know, neither of these names are my style, but this combination is adorable. It’s different & whimsical.

[name_m]Ezra[/name_m] [name_u]Ellis[/name_u]-These are both great names, but I don’t care for the combo.

[name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_u]Orion[/name_u]-Hm. This has a lot of 'r’s, but it’s fine. [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] is cute. I like [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_u]Ellis[/name_u].

[name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_m]Bennett[/name_m]-I love [name_u]Luca[/name_u]. It’s handsome, a little dramatic but also gentle. [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] isn’t bad, but I don’t think that these styles flow that well. [name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_u]Orion[/name_u] sounds good to me. Or [name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_m]Anthony[/name_m].

[name_u]Noah[/name_u] [name_m]Anthony[/name_m]-[name_u]Noah[/name_u] is a really handsome name. It’s soooo popular though. I think that [name_u]Noah[/name_u] [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] would be very handsome.

[name_u]Barrett[/name_u] [name_m]Zachary[/name_m]-I don’t care for [name_u]Barrett[/name_u]. Maybe I just really don’t like [name_u]Barry[/name_u].

[name_u]Salem[/name_u] [name_m]Malakai[/name_m]-I don’t know. This kind of has a bland sound. Also, I’d spell [name_m]Malakai[/name_m] like [name_m]Malachi[/name_m]. Maybe it doesn’t matter much for a mn.

[name_u]Neil[/name_u] Sheperd-This is okay. [name_u]Neil[/name_u] is a little dated. I like the Gaelic version of [name_u]Niall[/name_u] a lot. This combo does have a nice flow.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

@greyblue Thank you for your feedback. I was considering making [name_f]Andie[/name_f] an double name, but was unsure if I would need to add an actual middle name with it, and if so, what? [name_u]Alani[/name_u], I pronounce [name_m]Ah[/name_m]-Lah-Nee. I do like your suggestion of [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] [name_m]Silas[/name_m]! I know [name_u]Salem[/name_u] isn’t one of your favorites but i was wondering, do you think [name_u]Salem[/name_u] [name_u]Orion[/name_u] flows/works? I do like [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_u]Orion[/name_u] but I feel it may have too many R sounds.

@carysmarie What nicknames would you suggest for [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]? The only ones I could think of was [name_u]Ari[/name_u], belle/[name_f]Bella[/name_f]. I have seen [name_f]Alizah[/name_f] pronounced both ways, I prefer it to be pronounced like [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] but with a stronger uh sound vs an E. Uh-li-zah. Thank you for your response.

@michellem Thank You for your feedback. I have considered [name_u]Niall[/name_u] too, but I was worried it may be too connected to One Direction.

You could add a second middle if you wanted to [name_f]Andie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], but [name_f]Rose[/name_f] could be the middle and still be used as a double name
Alternatively, some suggestions could be
[name_f]Andie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_f]Andie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Emilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Andie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Lara[/name_f]
[name_f]Andie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]
[name_f]Andie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Andie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]

[name_u]Salem[/name_u] [name_u]Orion[/name_u] does flow okay but for me the m/n ending feels a tiny bit repetitive (sorry)

@greyblue I do like [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]! I’m always trying to find et/ette names since they seem to be a theme in our family ([name_f]Margaret[/name_f], [name_f]Nanette[/name_f], [name_f]Lynette[/name_f], etc). I think it fits wonderfully. Thank you very much for all your help. I do see what you mention in regards to the m/n feeling repetitive too.
