[name]Thea[/name] – [name]One[/name] of my all-time favorites. I usually suggest lengthening names, but [name]Thea[/name] is the exception. She’s not a nickname; she’s a sleek, chic name in her own right.
[name]Beatrice[/name] – I prefer [name]Beatrix[/name] or [name]Beatriz[/name], personally.
[name]Clara[/name] – Beautiful and classic, but I have a feeling this is going to rocket up the charts.
[name]Adeline[/name] – Cute, but you might have some issues with pronunciation (AdeLEEN or [name]AdeLINE[/name]?).
[name]Hazel[/name] – Definitely my favorite after [name]Thea[/name]. This hits all the right notes. It’s a nature name that’s not too hippie and a classic that isn’t dated. Plus it has a fantastic, cheerful sound. It’s also a versatile name: I can see it worn by a first-grader, a cheerleader, a businesswoman and a grandmother.
[name]Eliza[/name] – This has always been a “meh” name for me. So, meh.
[name]Annabel[/name] – NMS. This also stood out as a lot frillier than the other names on your list. [name]Bear[/name] in mind your daughter will likely be in a class with one or more [name]Isabelle[/name].
[name]Olive[/name] – Adorable, but I’m not sure about its wearability [name]IRL[/name]. This is definitely a name baby boards have desensitized me to. When I first saw it tossed around I was appalled anyone would force it upon an innocent child. Now I think it’s sweet. But I have a feeling more people would share my first reaction than my second.
[name]Alice[/name] – I absolutely [name]LOVE[/name] this name, but again, if popularity is a concern stay away. On the other hand, [name]Alice[/name] has never gone out of style and, like [name]Hazel[/name], it’s versatile and hits all the right notes.
[name]Vivienne[/name] – Chic, but I can’t help thinking of it as a middle-aged French woman’s name.
