These are names that I like, I would really appreciate it if some of you lovely berries are able to give me some feedback- positive or negative welcome! I am only a teenager so these wont be used anytime soon, and I’m sure my naming style will change by then. If you have a list you would like feedback on, just leave the link along with the response to this thread! Thank you in advance, berries!
Xoxox, Shealah
[name]Clementine[/name] - I have never understood the appeal of this one.
[name]North[/name] - Before the newest Kardashian baby, I might have said this was a good middle. But now… ugh.
[name]Rebecca[/name] - Classic and lovely.
[name]Emma[/name] - A little simple for me, but still very nice.
[name]Daisy[/name] - I love [name]Daisy[/name]! I’m not sure I would use it as a given… not sure how well it grows with a child, but as a nickname it is adorable.
[name]Lily[/name] - Another simple but pretty choice.
[name]Avery[/name] - [name]One[/name] of my favorite unisex names that I think is stellar on boys or girls. I tend to lean girl with it.
[name]Petunia[/name] - Reminds me of the aunt in [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name]. I don’t dislike floral names, but I don’t care for the sound of this one.
[name]Iris[/name] - Pretty.
[name]London[/name] - A little trendy for my tastes, but not terrible.
[name]Aphrodite[/name] - Very cool, very bold. I like it.
[name]Alice[/name] - [name]Love[/name]! Classic, literary, with a hint of frill.
[name]Coralie[/name] - I prefer [name]Caroline[/name], or even [name]Coraline[/name], but [name]Coralie[/name] is okay.
[name]Jane[/name] - [name]Love[/name]! Because of family reasons I would spell in [name]Jayne[/name], which usually would go against a pet peeve of mine of adding/subbing Ys where they don’t belong, but… family. [name]Even[/name] though this is a simple name, it still feels very regal.
[name]Jamie[/name] - Meh. Kind of dated.
[name]Chloe[/name] - Not a fan.
[name]Vida[/name] - Not one I would ever consider, but kind of cool.
[name]Marigold[/name] - Another that isn’t a favorite floral name. I would go with [name]Magnolia[/name] over this, and you could call her [name]Maggie[/name].
Vaida - Not even sure how I would pronounce this one.
[name]Poppy[/name] - Very cute as a nickname, another, like [name]Daisy[/name], I’m not sure would be a good given as it might not translate into adulthood.
[name]Primrose[/name] - Maybe for a middle? I just can’t see this one as a first name.
[name]Gloria[/name] - Cute, but a bit dated.
[name]Edith[/name] - I love this one. While it is older, like the above, I think it is old enough that it is ready to make a come back.
[name]Cordelia[/name] - [name]Love[/name]! So feminine, strong, and classic. Plus I love the nn [name]Cora[/name].
[name]Alba[/name] - There is nothing I find wrong with this, but it doesn’t thrill me.
[name]Giselle[/name] - Pretty. That is really all I can give you.
[name]Tawny[/name] - Not a fan. Sounds, to be blunt, like a stripper name, to me.
[name]Audrey[/name] - Very nice. Of course, I think of [name]Audrey[/name] Hepburn, so very good images in my head.
[name]Lucy[/name] - [name]Love[/name] [name]Lucy[/name]! It is so cute. I do prefer it as a nn for [name]Lucille[/name], but that is mostly because of family connection.
[name]Gertrude[/name] - I want to be open minded and say I like this, but it just sounds ugly to me.
[name]India[/name] - Another trendy celebrity pick.
[name]Elle[/name] - Too simple.
[name]Ellie[/name] - Again.
[name]Florence[/name] - Very nice. I like the feel of this one, and right now you get the cool vibe of [name]Florence[/name] [name]Welch[/name] along with the history of [name]Florence[/name] Nightingale.
[name]Cambria[/name] - Not sure I would consider this a name. It reminds me of the Cambrian geologic period.
[name]Rose[/name] - Cute, simple.
[name]Britney[/name] - Dated, very dated.
FAVOURITES
[name]Alice[/name] - Short & sweet!
[name]Jane[/name] - My mum’s name so I may be a tad biased! Again, short & sweet!
[name]Chloe[/name] - [name]Love[/name] this name but fear it’s a bit popular.
[name]Rose[/name] - Perfect middle name, although it is very overused. I love the nickname [name]Rosie[/name]!
LEAST FAVOURITES
[name]North[/name] - Unusable if [name]Kim[/name] & [name]Kanye[/name] have used it.
[name]Avery[/name] - Too masculine in my opinion.
[name]Petunia[/name] - No obvious nickname, & as a middle it would sound too sickly sweet.
[name]Iris[/name] - Makes me think of the structure in the eye rather than the flower.
[name]London[/name] - It’s a city, not a name.
[name]Aphrodite[/name] - With the Greek mythology behind the name, I don’t think it’s an appropriate name for a child.
[name]Tawny[/name] - Makes me think of the type of owls.
[name]Gertrude[/name] - An obvious name to be bullied about as it is not pretty or feminine in any way.
[name]Cambria[/name] - Not a name in my opinion.
[name]Britney[/name] - Tacky.
[name]Clementine[/name]* - I read a book recently where one of the character’s had the name [name]Clementine[/name] with the nn [name]Clemma[/name], while I think it’s prettty, it has been put on the guilty pleasure list for me. Many people are reminded first of the oranges.
[name]North[/name] - [name]North[/name] imo is a boys name. I know that because of [name]Kim[/name] and [name]Kanye[/name]'s baby this name will start to become popular, but I just do not like it on a girl, sorry.
[name]Rebecca[/name]* - Beautiful, simple, and classic!
[name]Emma[/name] - This name is precious, but it is extremely popular right now, if that doesn’t bother you then I’d say it’s a great name.
[name]Daisy[/name] - Cute, I have always liked this name for a girl.
[name]Lily[/name] - See [name]Emma[/name].
[name]Avery[/name] - This unisex name is okay, I like it on a girl, but to me it reads a little more masculine imo.
[name]Petunia[/name] - Pretty, I like this flower name that is familiar but not as commonly used!
[name]Iris[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name] this one, absolutely gorgeous!
[name]London[/name] - I’m not that into place names, I think this definitely reads feminine it’s just not my style. I would prefer it as a middle name.
[name]Aphrodite[/name] - Pretty!
[name]Alice[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name] this one! [name]Alice[/name] is classic and simple.
[name]Coralie[/name] - Beautiful name, [name]Coralie[/name] is very pretty and classic sounding.
[name]Jane[/name] - I like this name as a middle name better, but it reminds me of [name]Jane[/name] [name]Austen[/name] (who is one awesome author!)
[name]Jamie[/name] - This one is okay.
[name]Chloe[/name] - It’s okay.
[name]Vida[/name] - Pretty and exotic sounding while still being familiar.
[name]Marigold[/name] - Hmmm… while this is nice I prefer some of the other flower names on your list like [name]Petunia[/name] and [name]Iris[/name]
Vaida - It’s okay.
[name]Poppy[/name]* - Gorgeous!
[name]Primrose[/name] - Pretty
[name]Gloria[/name] - I [name]Love[/name] [name]Gloria[/name]! It’s just so happy sounding to me!
[name]Edith[/name] - Okay
[name]Cordelia[/name] - Beautiful, it reminds me of the [name]Anne[/name] of [name]Green[/name] Gables books by L.M. [name]Montgomery[/name]
[name]Alba[/name] - Not a fan of this one, all I think of is [name]Jessica[/name] [name]Alba[/name].
[name]Giselle[/name] - Pretty
[name]Tawny[/name] - Okay, prefer [name]Tanya[/name], [name]Tatiana[/name], or [name]Tawnya[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] - Simple elegance, think [name]Audrey[/name] Hepburn
[name]Lucy[/name] - Spunky
[name]Gertrude[/name] - I don’t really like this one, it just seems really clunky to me.
[name]India[/name] - It’s okay.
[name]Elle[/name] - Pretty
[name]Ellie[/name] - I like this one, it is a little nicknamey but I tend to like quite a few nicknamey names.
[name]Florence[/name] - Gorgeous and vintage.
[name]Cambria[/name]- Not my style.
[name]Rose[/name] - Pretty, would make a good middle for some of your other picks!
[name]Britney[/name]* - I know way too many [name]Britney[/name]'s so this name definitely isn’t one of my favorites.
You have a really broad naming taste, and I love some of your names!
I love because they’re simple:
[name]Emma[/name]
[name]Lily[/name]
[name]Iris[/name]
[name]Alice[/name]
[name]Jane[/name]
[name]Lucy[/name]
[name]Edith[/name]
[name]Elle[/name]/[name]Ellie[/name]
[name]Rose[/name]
[name]Love[/name]:
[name]Clementine[/name]: I [name]LOVE[/name] IT. It’s just so adorable
[name]North[/name] : I like [name]North[/name]. [name]Just[/name] as I still like [name]Penelope[/name], the Kardashians haven’t particularly ruined it for me. (though I wouldn’t use them) I like [name]North[/name] more for a boy, though.
[name]Avery[/name]
[name]Aphrodite[/name]
[name]Coralie[/name]: [name]LOVE[/name] IT
[name]Poppy[/name]
[name]Gloria[/name]
[name]Cordelia[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name]: I never liked it, but I met a little [name]Audrey[/name] a few months ago, and now I love it
I’m not sure about:
[name]Rebecca[/name]
[name]Daisy[/name]: very cutesy
[name]Petunia[/name]
[name]London[/name] : it’s not horrible, but I don’t [name]LOVE[/name] it
[name]Chloe[/name]
Vaida: pronunciation? Vay-da or v eye da?
[name]India[/name]
[name]Florence[/name]: Like it, wouldn’t use it
[name]Cambria[/name] : I don’t hate it, but it’ll take awhile for me to get used to it as a name
I don’t really like:
[name]Jaime[/name]
[name]Giselle[/name]
[name]Tawny[/name]
[name]Gertrude[/name]
[name]Britney[/name]
[name]Clementine[/name]- a small orange…Not really my style
[name]North[/name]- forever ruined by Kimye
[name]Rebecca[/name]- loved it for a while, but I grew out of it.

[name]Petunia[/name]- not really my style
[name]Iris[/name]- I think it’s more of a guilty pleasure for me
[name]London[/name]- Too close to home for me… I live near a city named [name]London[/name]
[name]Aphrodite[/name]- too much
[name]Alice[/name]- cute!
[name]Coralie[/name]- I love it! I went to school with a girl named [name]Coralie[/name]…It’s different, but not crazy!

[name]Jamie[/name]- meh, not so much a fan of androgynous names.
[name]Chloe[/name]- too popular
[name]Vida[/name]- not really for me
[name]Marigold[/name]- reminds me of polka dot door
Vaida- prefer [name]Vada[/name] as a spelling…Loved “My Girl”

[name]Primrose[/name]- Hunger Games making this name more popular
[name]Gloria[/name]- Cute!

[name]Cordelia[/name]- like a remix of [name]Coralie[/name]…I like it
[name]Alba[/name]- not for me
[name]Giselle[/name]- reminds me of [name]Gazelle[/name]
[name]Tawny[/name]- not for me
[name]Audrey[/name]- love it!
[name]Lucy[/name]- it’s ok.

[name]Cambria[/name]- interesting

[name]Britney[/name]- not really for me…too “Hit me baby one more time” lol
[name]Clementine[/name] - [name]Love[/name] this name. It’s adorable.
[name]North[/name] - I think this a nice name…for a boy. Plus now that a Kartrashian has used it…ugghh
[name]Rebecca[/name] - Classic. Not my style. But I do think its a fine name.
[name]Emma[/name] - I love this name. It’s kind of sad that its so overused at the moment, but a very lovely name.
[name]Daisy[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name] this one. They are my favourite flowers and I even love the literary connection.
[name]Lily[/name] - This is nice, but not one of my favourite flower names.
[name]Avery[/name] - I love this…also on a boy. This name just reeks masculine to me.
[name]Petunia[/name] - Maybe its because of [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name], but it just seems like a name for a dumpy old woman
[name]Iris[/name] - I [name]LOVE[/name] this one too. I think its a great name that will age well.
[name]London[/name] - It’s all right.
[name]Aphrodite[/name] - Not really my style. Personally, it’s a little too out there for me.
[name]Alice[/name] - [name]Lovely[/name] and classic. Also love the literary connection.
[name]Coralie[/name] - It’s ok.
[name]Jane[/name] - [name]Love[/name] [name]Jane[/name]. Simple, classic and strong.
[name]Jamie[/name] - Eh, if this was 1995 sure.
[name]Chloe[/name] - Really popular at the moment. I prefer “[name]Cleo[/name]”.
[name]Vida[/name] - It’s a nice sentiment to name your child “life”…but I just dont like the sound of this one.
[name]Marigold[/name] - I dig this one. [name]Don[/name]'t think I would use it personally, but I think I would want to meet a little [name]Marigold[/name]. Or “[name]Goldie[/name]”.
Vaida - Makes me think of Vader. Like Darth Vader.
[name]Poppy[/name] - I like. Full of spunk.
[name]Primrose[/name] - Maybe as a middle. I prefer just “[name]Rose[/name]”.

[name]Florence[/name] - It’s ok.
[name]Cambria[/name] - I don’t know why, but it sounds “trendy” to me.
[name]Rose[/name] - [name]Love[/name]. Very classic.
[name]Britney[/name] - Outdated. I knew a lot of [name]Britney[/name]/[name]Brittany[/name]/[name]Brittny[/name]'s growing up. And I was born in 1990.
I was really honest lol. You’ve got some good ones, but some not so great ones either, they were hit or miss for me.
[name]Clementine[/name]- [name]Love[/name] this name, it’s on my list.
[name]North[/name] - It’s a fine boy’s name.
[name]Rebecca[/name]- It’s pretty, but a little dated. (Especially if the nn is [name]Becky[/name] or [name]Becca[/name].)
[name]Emma[/name]- So trendy, and already a bit dated. And honestly, I was never a huge fan of the [name]Emily[/name]/[name]Emma[/name] trend.
[name]Daisy[/name]- [name]Love[/name] it, and it’s unusable for me, so I always encourage other people to use it!
[name]Lily[/name]- Beautiful, but watch out for popularity.
[name]Avery[/name]- Meh. Not a fan of unisex names.
[name]Petunia[/name]- Not a fan. (Also, FYI, if you got it from [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name], JK Rowling used it for that character because she particularly hated it.)
[name]Iris[/name]- Very sophisticated and lovely.
[name]London[/name]- I’m torn on it. If you have some personal connection to [name]London[/name], I think it’d be fine in the middle spot, but it’d be pretentious and obvious otherwise.
[name]Aphrodite[/name]- It’s really sad that this name and [name]Venus[/name] have become so associated with strippers, but that’s all this reads for me! Sorry!
[name]Alice[/name]- Adorable and very usable.
[name]Coralie[/name]- Nms, but I think it’s fine.
[name]Jane[/name]- Due for a revival! I think there’s much to love in its simplicity, and even a little sassiness.
[name]Jamie[/name]- Boring, I grew up with a ton of [name]Jamies[/name] of both sexes. (I’m in my late 20s)
[name]Chloe[/name]- Classic.
[name]Vida[/name]- [name]Kinda[/name] trendy, also, I think, a star baby? Right? Idk if that’s a deal breaker for you, but I would expect to see a lot more of them if it is.
[name]Marigold[/name]- Nms. Seems kinda stuffy to me.
Vaida- I think it’s usually spelled [name]Veda[/name]? It makes me think of science fiction, lol!
[name]Poppy[/name]- Cute, and ready to jump the pond!
[name]Primrose[/name]- [name]Love[/name].
[name]Gloria[/name]- Old lady-ish, and not in a good, vintage way.
[name]Edith[/name]- My grandmother’s name, so I can’t see any other way than on a super old lady. [name]Edie[/name] is a cute nn, though.
[name]Cordelia[/name]- Like it a lot, it’s very sophisticated.
[name]Alba[/name]- NMS.
[name]Giselle[/name]- I would assume you were naming her after the supermodel, and would think it would be kinda tacky.
[name]Tawny[/name]- I think of owls, haha.
[name]Audrey[/name]- Sophisticated and lovely.
[name]Lucy[/name]- Always adorable.
[name]Gertrude[/name]- Shockingly, I think this name is coming back. [name]Trudy[/name] is a great nn.
[name]India[/name]- I like it. I think it’s beautiful and it makes me long for travel.
[name]Elle[/name]- It just makes me think of an airhead.
[name]Ellie[/name]- Amazing what one letter can do to a name. This is more sophisticated, but I like it more as a nickname.
[name]Florence[/name]- I’m not convinced of its hipness yet. People younger than me seem to like it though.
[name]Cambria[/name]- I have a cousin named [name]Cambria[/name]! I think it’s cute, and her nn is [name]Cami[/name].
[name]Rose[/name]- Great as a first name.
[name]Britney[/name]- Ugh. So 80s/90s, and Spears doesn’t help.
[name]Clementine[/name]* It’s a big favorite around here but I don’t understand the appeal.
[name]North[/name] This is another name that I just don’t understand. For boys or girls and especially after the Kardashian-[name]West[/name] baby.
[name]Rebecca[/name]* a sweet underused classic that needs to get revived. I’d nn her Bex.
[name]Emma[/name] I know it’s hugely popular, but it’s a beautiful classic name.
[name]Daisy[/name] it’s ok but I prefer the flower name [name]Dahlia[/name].
[name]Lily[/name] see [name]Daisy[/name]
[name]Avery[/name] one of the few names I see as truly unisex. I’ve known both male and female Averys. It’s cute.
[name]Petunia[/name] I don’t find the sounds in this name to be very appealing.
[name]Iris[/name] pretty and sweet.
[name]London[/name]. To me this is like naming a child Los [name]Angeles[/name] or [name]New[/name] [name]York[/name].
[name]Aphrodite[/name] awesome name but a lot of name to carry through life.
[name]Alice[/name] very vintagey and sweet.
[name]Coralie[/name] I prefer [name]Caroline[/name].
[name]Jane[/name] lovely and underused as a first name.
[name]Jamie[/name] I have a long time crush on this name. For girls and boys.
[name]Chloe[/name] I prefer [name]Zoe[/name].
[name]Vida[/name] I really love this one, I can’t use it because I speak Spanish and its too word namey in Spanish, but strongly encourage others to use it.
[name]Marigold[/name] another NB fave that I don’t really get.
Vaida I think [name]Vida[/name] is a better option
[name]Poppy[/name] very cute
[name]Primrose[/name] ehh, it’s ok.
[name]Gloria[/name] it’s nice, but you have better options
[name]Edith[/name] lovely
[name]Cordelia[/name] probably my favorite of your list
[name]Alba[/name] nice, but very old-lady to me.
[name]Giselle[/name] I like this one, prefer [name]Gisela[/name]
[name]Tawny[/name] not a fan, sorry
[name]Audrey[/name] lovely name with great namesakes.
[name]Lucy[/name] always reminds me of [name]Lucy[/name] from the [name]Narnia[/name] books.
[name]Gertrude[/name] see [name]Petunia[/name]
[name]India[/name] nice in theory, but it causes much controversy here on NB
[name]Elle[/name] I think there are better [name]El[/name]- names out there with more substance.
[name]Ellie[/name] see [name]Elle[/name]
[name]Florence[/name] reminds me of [name]Florence[/name] and the Machine, which is awesomeness.
[name]Cambria[/name], it’s ok.
[name]Rose[/name] lovely as a first name
[name]Britney[/name]* too many 90s babies with this name.
[name]Clementine[/name]: This is one word name that I just don’t like. It’s too long and I feel the sounds are clunky.
[name]North[/name]: Very classic middle name and I would have liked it with regal names like [name]Henry[/name] or [name]Frederick[/name] but I’m just turned off by the recent popularity spike because of [name]North[/name] [name]West[/name]…
[name]Rebecca[/name]: I just think it’s a little 90’s
[name]Emma[/name]: I love [name]Emma[/name]! It’s on my list and is so simple and sweet
[name]Daisy[/name]: I really like [name]Daisy[/name] too because it reminds me of The Great [name]Gatsby[/name] however I prefer it as a nickname!
[name]Lily[/name]: [name]Love[/name]! So pretty.
[name]Avery[/name]: I have a male cousin named [name]Avery[/name] and could never imagine it on a female but now I’ve seen it on so many little girls and I think its adorable and unisex without being too masculine.
[name]Petunia[/name]: I usually like flower names but I think this one has too many hard sounds with the ‘p’ and ‘t’.
[name]Iris[/name]: I really like this, it would sound awesome with a long, feminine middle name.
[name]London[/name]: It seems trendy but I still like it. [name]Paris[/name] is really sweet as well!
[name]Aphrodite[/name]: Meh… I don’t know. I think there are better names to use from Greek mythology.
[name]Alice[/name]: I have a new love for [name]Alice[/name]! Very cute.
[name]Coralie[/name]: [name]Love[/name] love love! I love all the [name]Cora[/name] names. [name]Cora[/name] is such a sweet and sassy name all at the same time!
[name]Jane[/name]: Great for a middle but I think its plain.
[name]Jamie[/name]: I prefer [name]James[/name] on a boy so I don’t like [name]Jamie[/name].
[name]Chloe[/name]: I like [name]Chloe[/name]. However, I like [name]Clea[/name] better.
[name]Vida[/name]: Reminds me of [name]Vera[/name] which I like better.
[name]Marigold[/name]: I like this. I can’t decide whether I like [name]Marigold[/name] or [name]Meredith[/name] better.
Vaida: I don’t know about this.
[name]Poppy[/name]: SO cute as a nickname I love it. I would go for something more formal to fall back on in later life though!
[name]Primrose[/name]: Cute. The Hunger Games has so many great names!
[name]Gloria[/name]: Dated and reminds me of the hippo in Madagascar.
[name]Edith[/name]: I love it even though I’m not big on biblical reference names.
[name]Cordelia[/name]: Cute but I’d stick with [name]Coralie[/name] instead.
[name]Alba[/name]: Hmm… I don’t think I’d ever use this one.
[name]Giselle[/name]: I actually think the name [name]Giselle[/name] is pretty and it’s rarely heard so would be a refreshing choice.
[name]Tawny[/name]: I just don’t like this.
[name]Audrey[/name]: I like [name]Aubrey[/name] more but there is nothing wrong with [name]Audrey[/name].
[name]Lucy[/name]: You’ve probably noticed I love short and sweet girls name. I think [name]Lucy[/name] is a beautiful name.
[name]Gertrude[/name]: This is a name that should stay off the charts.
[name]India[/name]: I know a dog named [name]India[/name] so it ruins it!
[name]Elle[/name]/[name]Ellie[/name]: [name]Ellie[/name] is adorable. I’d pick something longer though and use it as a nickname.
[name]Florence[/name]: Really cool name.
[name]Cambria[/name]: I just wouldn’t name my child after a font.
[name]Rose[/name]: Beautiful and since its so common as a middle name, it is so refreshing as a first.
[name]Britney[/name]: Very dated, definitely not a favourite.
Thank you so much everyone for your feedback, keep it coming! I would be open to some suggestions as well on what you all enthuse would be better for a middle or a first name, and some middles or firsts to match. Also, to help out, I will explain a bit about why I like some certain names and list my favorites/top faves.
[name]North[/name]- Honestly, Kimye is where I got it. I think it’s sounds weird for a fn, and silly and stupid with last name west, but I get a magical, sparkly feeling from this name. Very pretty to me as a middle, but I am sure I will never use it.
[name]Clementine[/name]- ‘‘I don’t care, I [name]LOVE[/name] IT’’ … [name]Said[/name] Icona Pop! I think this is gorgeous as well, and just not a fruit-food. It’s actually a older name, old fashioned for those of you who have not known.
[name]Tawny[/name], [name]Britney[/name], [name]Alba[/name]- Kind of like these, not my favorites. [name]Tawny[/name] is a cute nickname, [name]Alba[/name] has a pretty feel, and [name]Britney[/name] is kind of dated.
[name]Wren[/name] - I like this. My favourite bird name is [name]Raven[/name], but [name]Wren[/name] would be my second favourite.
[name]Spencer[/name] - This is on my boy’s list. Sorry, I hate this on a girl.
[name]Caroline[/name] - lovely and classic. You could always sing “Sweet [name]Caroline[/name]” to her.
[name]Georgia[/name] - Really cute and adorable.
[name]Georgina[/name] - Prefer [name]Georgia[/name]. [name]Georgina[/name] is too fussy for me.
[name]Clementine[/name]* - There’s something about this name that I’m not fond of, but overall, it’s not a bad name.
[name]North[/name] - I don’t like this for a girl, especially after Kimye baby.
[name]Rebecca[/name]* - I’m neutral on this name. A part of me finds it a little plain, while the other part finds it hauntingly mysterious, thanks to [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Du[/name] Maurier’s novel.
[name]Emma[/name] - Sweet and simple, but I prefer [name]Emmeline[/name].
[name]Daisy[/name] - A better name for a pet, imho. It just seems so cutesy to me. [name]Lily[/name] - I like this, but it’s so popular right now.
[name]Avery[/name] - Not my favorite.
[name]Petunia[/name] - Not my cup of tea. [name]Iris[/name] - Very pretty.
[name]London[/name] - Not my style.
[name]Aphrodite[/name] - I think this would make a better middle name. [name]Alice[/name] - I love this. [name]Coralie[/name] - Cute. [name]Jane[/name] - Simple and strong, I like it.
[name]Jamie[/name] - Not my style. [name]Chloe[/name] - I like it.
[name]Vida[/name] - Not my style.
[name]Marigold[/name] - It might be cute as a middle name.
Vaida - Not my style.
[name]Poppy[/name]* - A little too cutesy to me.
[name]Primrose[/name] - Cute, but I like it better as a middle name.
[name]Gloria[/name] - Not really my style.
[name]Edith[/name] - Not my cup of tea. [name]Cordelia[/name] - This is slowly growing on me, I think.
[name]Alba[/name] - Not my style.
[name]Giselle[/name] - Cute, but I wouldn’t use it.
[name]Tawny[/name] - I kinda like it. [name]Audrey[/name] - Pretty and classic. [name]Lucy[/name] - Sassy and cute.
[name]Gertrude[/name] - I don’t like it at all.
[name]India[/name] - [name]Way[/name] too much controversy over this name; I prefer [name]Indiana[/name].
[name]Elle[/name] - It’s cute.
[name]Ellie[/name] - I rather see this as a nickname for a fuller version.
[name]Florence[/name] - Cute.
[name]Cambria[/name] - Alright. [name]Rose[/name] - [name]Lovely[/name].
[name]Britney[/name]* - A bit dated now.
[name]Clementine[/name] Pretty but nms
[name]North[/name] Nms (and it would be taken off the list if it was due to recent ‘news’)
[name]Rebecca[/name] It’s a nice name but the nn [name]Becky[/name] makes me cringe
[name]Emma[/name] Very pretty name
[name]Daisy[/name] Again, pretty name but nms
[name]Lily[/name] A very popular name/nn. I know of 2 or 3 little girls who have the nn of [name]Lily[/name] but have more formal names of [name]Lillian[/name], or [name]Liliana[/name].
[name]Avery[/name] I know this is slowly making it’s way to the girls’ naming board but I still see this as a masculine name.
[name]Petunia[/name] All I can think of is the horrible aunt from [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name]
[name]Iris[/name] Pretty.
[name]London[/name] I think place names should have a story behind them (we met there, we married there, we honeymooned there…etd), otherwise it’s just odd - though not all places make good names.
[name]Aphrodite[/name] Such a pretty name though I worry about the teasing/horrid nn that are possible and it’s nms.
[name]Alice[/name] A timeless classic.
[name]Coralie[/name] Pretty!
[name]Jane[/name] Another timeless classic.
[name]Jamie[/name] A universally unisex name. Very pretty.
[name]Chloe[/name] I just get this vision of a spunky, independent person.
[name]Vida[/name] nms.
[name]Marigold[/name] Nms but a pretty name nonetheless. [name]Mari[/name] is a pretty nn
Vaida Nms but it’s a pretty name. A person I used to work with named her daughter [name]Vada[/name] (from the movie My Girl)
[name]Poppy[/name] Seems more nicknamey to me than actual name.
[name]Primrose[/name] Pretty name though I’m afraid that it’s going to be dated due to the popularity of the Hunger Games.
[name]Gloria[/name] Pretty, wonder what you’d pair it with to give it some character.
[name]Edith[/name] Nms. Gives off a dated feel to me.
[name]Cordelia[/name] Pretty! I would use it if it didn’t clash with our last name.
[name]Alba[/name] Like the feminine version of [name]Albus[/name]? As in Dumbledore?
[name]Giselle[/name] Pretty but I’m never quite sure how to pronounce it.
[name]Tawny[/name] Nms
[name]Audrey[/name] Very pretty! I may have to add this to my list of potentials
[name]Lucy[/name] Pretty nn. I would want to give a more formal name though but I don’t care for [name]Lucille[/name]…maybe [name]Lucia[/name]?
[name]Gertrude[/name] Pretty but has dated feel to it. All I can see is two little old ladies sitting around having tea and one says, “Now [name]Gerty[/name]…”
[name]India[/name] A place name (see [name]London[/name])
[name]Elle[/name] Pretty.
[name]Ellie[/name] Nicknamey.
[name]Florence[/name] I know this isn’t strictly a place name but it has that feel to it. (See [name]London[/name])
[name]Cambria[/name] Came-bree-a? [name]Cam[/name]-bree-a? Kahm-bree-a? just nms
[name]Rose[/name] Pretty, elegent, simple.
[name]Britney[/name] Still too popstar-y for me but it is a pretty name.
[name]WREN[/name] Cute. Nms but I could see a little girl rocking this name.
[name]SPENCER[/name] Purely a boy’s name. Sorry. I think this is just too masculine of a name.
[name]CAROLINE[/name] A timeless classic. Very very pretty name.
[name]GEORGIA[/name] [name]Love[/name] this name. It’s one of the few ‘place’ names that I love irregardless.
[name]GEORGINA[/name] Prefer [name]Georgia[/name] but this isn’t a bad name.
[name]Clementine[/name] [name]Add[/name] me to the list who never understood it’s appeal. I think the old song about the unattractive young woman.
[name]North[/name] I don’t like it for a girl and sort of for a boy. Expect this one to be seen as copying [name]Kim[/name] Kardashian.
[name]Rebecca[/name] I love this one! I have a dear friend who’s a fitness trainer with this name. She goes by the full name always. Timeless
[name]Emma[/name] Timeless but popular. I know several Emmas my age 25, and it’s number 2 right now.
[name]Daisy[/name] [name]Love[/name] this! It does seem cutsey, and there is the Great [name]Gatsby[/name]. Still it’s kind of on my favorites list.
[name]Lily[/name] love this! Very popular though.
[name]Avery[/name] A male name that is now unisex. My cousin named his adorable daughter this.
[name]Petunia[/name] I don’t like this flower name. I didn’t like Aunt [name]Petunia[/name] from [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name] much either.
[name]Iris[/name] I love this one! It doesn’t work with my current last name though. It will depend on whom I marry.
[name]London[/name] Not my favorite or style. It’s ok.
[name]Aphrodite[/name] same as [name]London[/name]
[name]Alice[/name] Pretty, timeless, and literary!
[name]Coralie[/name] Cute as a button. I would prefer [name]Cora[/name]. Makes me think of Anastasiaruby.
[name]Jane[/name] love this one! Timeless and literary!
[name]Jamie[/name] It’s going back to the boys. It’s one of the many 80’s and 90’s retro names on your list.
[name]Chloe[/name] Very popular, but nice.
[name]Vida[/name] Nice. It is a word in Spanish.
[name]Marigold[/name] [name]Love[/name] this one! Top girls name of the day!
Vaida Not my style. Unsure of pronunciation, which will be a problem.
[name]Poppy[/name] Not my style. A Namenerd name. I used to love it, but people here connect [name]Poppy[/name] to Opium [name]Poppy[/name]. Was on my list at 14 and outgrew.
[name]Primrose[/name] Another flower name! I like this one, but probably would never use it.
[name]Gloria[/name] Kind of dated. Still the nickname [name]Glory[/name] is cute and I like the old song. (Look it up on youtube) “They shouted it every night: [name]Gloria[/name] G-l-o-r-I-a”
[name]Edith[/name] On the rise, maybe thanks to Downton [name]Abbey[/name]. Old lady chic.
[name]Cordelia[/name] On my favorites list. So many nicknames, but cool on it’s own.
[name]Alba[/name] Not my style.
[name]Giselle[/name] I like this! Distinctive and yet familiar! I really liked Enchanted. [name]One[/name] someone could talk me into.
[name]Tawny[/name] More a nickname. Or a kitten.
[name]Audrey[/name] An old favorite, but I moved on.
[name]Lucy[/name] Very cute, but still grown up. A literary classic.
[name]Gertrude[/name] Not my style. Still dated.
[name]India[/name] Not really one I like.
[name]Elle[/name] A 80’s and 90’s I love. Very sleek. I think it could work.
[name]Ellie[/name] Too nickname for my taste. I would like a formal name with it.
[name]Florence[/name] It’s all right. Ready for a comeback, but not one I would use.
[name]Cambria[/name] Not my style
[name]Rose[/name] I love this one quiet elegance.
[name]Britney[/name] Too dated.
All in all you have great taste. I would suggest [name]Dahlia[/name], [name]Magnolia[/name], and [name]Fern[/name] as names I could see you loving. Good [name]Luck[/name]!
[name]Clementine[/name] - not my cup of tea, it’s a small orange to me
[name]North[/name] - I don’t find this pretty on a boy or a girl. Also Kardashians.
[name]Rebecca[/name] - A classic, lovely
[name]Emma[/name] - Ditto, though I think it’s past it’s peak now.
[name]Daisy[/name] - Cute but I struggle to see this on an adult
[name]Lily[/name] - [name]Every[/name] other girl in my area is a [name]Lily[/name], I’m over this name.
[name]Avery[/name] - Not a fan, reminds me of Aviary where birds live
[name]Petunia[/name] - Not my taste, plus it sounds a bit old lady
[name]Iris[/name] - Nice
[name]London[/name] - my city. I don’t see this as a name at all.
[name]Aphrodite[/name] - Not my cup of tea but not awful. Makes a quirky middle maybe
[name]Alice[/name] - Alright but I find it a bit bland
[name]Coralie[/name] - Nice
[name]Jane[/name] - See [name]Alice[/name]
[name]Jamie[/name] - Like for a boy only
[name]Chloe[/name] - Like
[name]Vida[/name] - Eh, indifferent on this
[name]Marigold[/name] - I think of the yellow rubber gloves, sorry
Vaida - Never heard this before but has a nice sound
[name]Poppy[/name] - See [name]Daisy[/name]
[name]Primrose[/name] - Prefer just [name]Rose[/name]
[name]Gloria[/name] - Dated
[name]Edith[/name] - Dated
[name]Cordelia[/name] - Ok, not really my style though
[name]Alba[/name] - [name]Don[/name]'t really care for this either
[name]Giselle[/name] - Could be seen as joining the -elle/-ella trend, which I’m so over
[name]Tawny[/name] - Owl.
[name]Audrey[/name] - I find this dated too.
[name]Lucy[/name] - Like this one
[name]Gertrude[/name] - Ugh. Sorry, but it’s not only dated but not attractive either.
[name]India[/name] - I don’t care for place names much but it’s ok
[name]Elle[/name] - L? Seems too abrupt for me.
[name]Ellie[/name] - It got so popular a few years back I’m so over it now too. Would only use as a nickname.
[name]Florence[/name] - Not really my style either but ok
[name]Cambria[/name] - I think of Cumbria, sorry
[name]Rose[/name] - Nice as a first name, overdone in the middle
[name]Britney[/name] - Spears, and dated
