Feedback please on girls' names!

I’d like some feedback on my choices for a sister for [name]Maeve[/name] [name]Kathryn[/name]. Last name is common ph name shared with [name]Lou[/name] [name]Diamond[/name]. Middle name is for my mother and is either her maiden name [name]Kelly[/name] (preferable) or middle name [name]Mary[/name] where [name]Kelly[/name] doesn’t work.

[name]Ione[/name] [name]Kelly[/name]
[name]Cressida[/name] [name]Kelly[/name]
[name]Annika[/name] [name]Mary[/name]
[name]Nell[/name] [name]Mary[/name]
[name]Theodora[/name] [name]Kelly[/name]
[name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Kelly[/name]

Thanks!

I love [name]Maeve[/name] and [name]Thea[/name] ([name]Theodora[/name]). They both have a similar spunk about them…
I also like [name]Maeve[/name] and [name]Nell[/name] (could be short for [name]Eleanor[/name]?). These two sound really sweet together.
[name]IMO[/name] the others sound a bit frilly with [name]Maeve[/name] and don’t compliment her as nicely

I really like:
[name]Cressida[/name], [name]Nell[/name], [name]Theodora[/name] & [name]Beatrix[/name]
All four sound great with [name]Maeve[/name] too.
Good luck!

I like [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Kelly[/name]!!

[name]Love[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Kelly[/name]!

[name]Theodora[/name] [name]Kelly[/name] and [name]Cressida[/name] [name]Kelly[/name] are beautiful choices.

I like [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Kelly[/name] best, followed by [name]Annika[/name] [name]Mary[/name]. [name]Both[/name] are delightful, and work really well with [name]Maeve[/name] [name]Kathryn[/name], imo!

Good luck!

[name]Ione[/name] [name]Kelly[/name]: I liked the name once I looked it up and saw how it was pronounced. There will probably be pronunciation issues, but once people know her and know the name, it will probably be worth it because it is lovely!
[name]Cressida[/name] [name]Kelly[/name]: Not my favorite.
[name]Annika[/name] [name]Mary[/name]: I love this name. My second favorite on your list. Pretty and a little exotic yet simple.
[name]Nell[/name] [name]Mary[/name]: Not my cup of tea. Kind of sounds like “Hail [name]Mary[/name]!”
[name]Theodora[/name] [name]Kelly[/name]: I like it. I like the idea of a girl nicknamed [name]Theo[/name].
[name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Kelly[/name]: My absolute favorite on your list. [name]Love[/name] this name. Would love to meet a little girl named [name]Beatrix[/name].

Thanks so much for your responses!

uselesskitty, I thought that too about Hail [name]Mary[/name]. I was wondering if anyone else would think it!

I’m over [name]Cressida[/name] now as I’ve realized it was a type of Toyota (thought it sounded familiar!). I think I’m zeroing in on [name]Ione[/name], [name]Annika[/name], and [name]Beatrix[/name].

In order of preference:

  1. [name]Theodora[/name] [name]Kelly[/name]
  2. [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Kelly[/name]
  3. [name]Ione[/name] [name]Kelly[/name]

I like [name]Annika[/name], but it feels so different stylistically from [name]Maeve[/name].

[name]Annika[/name] and [name]Beatrix[/name] are definitely my favorites. Beautiful!

[name]Annika[/name] [name]Mary[/name] gets my vote!

[name]Ione[/name]- I don’t really care for this name
[name]Cressida[/name]- This is a pretty name- soft but yet exotic
[name]Annika[/name]- not really a fan of
[name]Nell[/name]- For some reason I think of a pet horse
[name]Theodora[/name]- It’s an ok name
[name]Beatrix[/name]- I prefer the classic name [name]Beatrice[/name]

I don’t like the flow of [name]Nell[/name], [name]Beatrix[/name], [name]Annika[/name] and [name]Cressida[/name] with your surname (sounds are too similar, styles are too different or there is too much “s” sound).

1 [name]Theodora[/name] [name]Kelly[/name]
2 [name]Ione[/name] [name]Kelly[/name] (how are your pronouncing [name]Ione[/name]? Eye-OH-nee or eye-own?) . I think [name]Iona[/name] would be lovely too.

I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Ione[/name], I think it is beautiful and works well with [name]Maeve[/name] and your middle name choice, I also like [name]Beatrix[/name] and [name]Theadora[/name]

I’m pronouncing [name]Ione[/name] as eye-own-nee. I like [name]Iona[/name] but I’m not sure I love [name]Iona[/name] Ph*llips because it sounds like: I own a consumer electronic.
