[name]Every[/name] day DH and I mention names, and the style isn’t always consistent…one day I like irish names, one day I like german names, etc. Now I’m thinking it would be cool to give our little guy a traditional first name and a more daring middle so we can give him a more interesting nickname…because I don’t normally like classic boy’s names. Big sis is [name]Grace[/name] [name]Catherine[/name]. So it came to me this morning:
Our last name sounds like relic. We like the nn [name]Hawk[/name], and I like the sophistocated look of [name]Hawthorne[/name]. I want to have [name]Thomas[/name] in the name after my dad…[name]Thomas[/name] could be in the first name spot, but DH had an uncle named [name]Thomas[/name] with the same last name and he had a bit of a troubled reputation. [name]John[/name] has been used a lot in both of our families.
I’m not familiar with the term pp was talking about?
I think [name]John[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Hawthorne[/name] sounds great and seems to cover all of your criteria
I like [name]John[/name] [name]Hawthorne[/name] the best. But since you really want to include [name]Thomas[/name], I agree about not putting [name]John[/name] and [name]Thomas[/name] next to each other.
Thanks for the suggestions.and comments. We don’t HAVE to have [name]Thomas[/name] in there, in fact my dad’s mn is [name]John[/name] so just including either [name]John[/name] or [name]Thomas[/name] would be fine. We like [name]Hawthorne[/name] but it’s such a daring choice, I think that’s why I was thinking of putting it in the middle spot. I don’t know…what do you think?
