Feeling a little name numb

So feeling a little name numb, so I’ve come to you berries for some love (or at least reassurance) of the first names that are still in the running.

Please can I have honest opinions on

[name]Lillian[/name]
[name]Beatrice[/name]
[name]Margot[/name] ( SO has gone off this but would like to know reactions anyway)

(In terms of popularity- we are down under but likely we will live in uk in next 5 years)

thanks and apologies for the countless posts x

Hang in there Penelope83!! Deciding on a name is tough and (it should) requires many hours of contemplation before reaching a final, (and hopefully) unanimous decision. Our family is currently ttc and two of your three names were on my baby girl name list, so I will give you my honest opinion on each.

[name]Lillian[/name]: [name]LOVE[/name] this name and all of it’s adorable nn possibilities. Was also my grandmother’s name and I was desperate to use it for my own daughter one day…until it shot to the top of the popularity charts in the U.S. I think it is one of those names that you could imagine a lot of different people wearing well; I could see it on a blond, tan, blue-eyed little girl; or on a fair-skinned, dark-headed child. It is a name that could grow with you from childhood to adulthood without a problem. It is elegant, without being stuffy.

[name]Beatrice[/name]: Another possibility on our list. This is one I always liked more on paper. Whenever I imagined calling our daughter’s name from across the yard, or writing her name on a medical form, or monograming her initials on a backpack, this was never the name I saw for her. Nothing wrong with it, I quite like it actually, it just didn’t fit our family.

[name]Margot[/name]: Not on my list, but I love it. Simple, but still spunky. Cute, but in a grown-up way.

I hope this helps you one way or another. When I was feeling like you seem to be right now, the best thing for me was to throw away my original list and start from scratch. In the end, we found the name we were looking for all along. Good luck!
