Feist

I’m listening to an old favourite album tonight - The Reminder by Feist (aka Canadian singer [name_u]Leslie[/name_u] Feist).

I love five-letter, one-syllable names ([name_m]Birch[/name_m], [name_f]Briar[/name_f], [name_f]Faith[/name_f], [name_f]Grace[/name_f] etc.) - am I crazy for thinking Feist could be a spunky name for a girl?

I think it could work as a middle name (cool!) but not as a first name really.

[name_f]Ramona[/name_f] Feist
[name_f]Katrina[/name_f] Feist
[name_f]Molly[/name_f] Feist
[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] Feist
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] Feist
[name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] Feist

Or as one of two middles…
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] Feist [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Leona[/name_f] Feist [name_f]Matilde[/name_f]
[name_f]Briar[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] Feist
[name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] Feist

Thanks @malloryknox. I do like the suggestions of [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] Feist and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] Feist.

I agree. If anything, it might be useable as a middle name.

I personally wouldn’t do it as a first name. It makes me think of “feisty”, which to me is one of those slightly patronising words that tend to be used to describe girls/women only. I think using it as a first name would inevitably cause people to assess her personality against this particular style, and comment on whether or not she had a “feisty” character. I understand your use of it would be as a tribute to the last name of the singer, so maybe as a middle name, but I think others might make the word association more readily. [name_m]Just[/name_m] my two cents’ worth…

There is type of ugly dog called a feist. That’s all i can think of. It would be middle name territory only.
