I always wonder how a name will age and if it’ll be professional enough. What would you think if you met an adult [name]Felicity[/name]? Does it seem like a childish name on an adult?
No. [name]How[/name] could it? It’s a real name and if an adult tells me her name is [name]Felicity[/name] I’d believe her with no issue. However, if she told me her name was Flickitty or Fenley or something equally as bonkers I might raise an eyebrow.
In summary: real name? No ageing issues.
You make a valid point and I didn’t think of it that way. I tend to over think and worry what if she’s a doctor etc. will that name sound professional enough. I like a unique classic so I think this name fits the bill.
I would not think twice at all if I were to meet a doctor, professor, politician, etc. named [name]Felicity[/name] - whatsoever. It is definitely a “unique classic” in my opinion and wholly professional.
I actually find this name very formal or professional sounding & not very kiddish
I can always count on good input from my berries I like the nn’s [name]Fee[/name], Liss or lissie.
I have a daughter named [name]Felicity[/name]! So I obviously think it ages well. I think it’s very classic and traditional, so it ages very well. The fact that it’s been around for centuries helps. I think it’s one of the most perfect names - classic, unique yet heard of, great meaning, and adorable nickname options. I think it’s definitely professional and ages well!
You picked out such a beautiful name combo, [name]Felicity[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] - I love it! It’s nice to hear from someone that used the name. Does she have a hard time saying her name? Which nn does she like to go by? What is your reaction when you tell others her name. It’s nice getting some real world input.
I love [name]Felicity[/name]. My only fear would be show references, but I think only a certain age group knows the WB show anyway.
[name]Felicity[/name] is beautiful and while it does have the -ee sound at the end, I don’t think that automatically makes it juvenile. [name]Felicity[/name] started as a full name and has always been used as such, do it doesn’t have that nickname feel - it has a strong history and has been used for a long time so it has a decent back bone on it.
Yes, I think it will age wonderfully.
I love [name]Felicity[/name]! She’s a very happy classic name for me. And the nicknames [name]Fee[/name], Liss, Lissy, etc. are just too adorable to pass up.
In 2012 [name]Felicity[/name] [name]Aston[/name] became the first woman in the world to cross Antarctica solo. So the name definitely has some heft!
[name]Felicity[/name] Huffman is one of the more visibile wearers of the name who comes to mind. She’s in her 50s and the name doesn’t seem at all out of place on her to me. I definitely think of it as a name that ages well.
OH wow, I didn’t know that!! That is definitely one to remember and write down in her baby book.
