Female Heroine Naming?

Hey everyone! I’m having a lot of trouble deciding on a 16-year-old girl’s name. I’ve already decided the last name is [name]Winslow[/name], and I want something that’s recognizable but not too popular. I’ve thought of [name]Alexa[/name] or [name]Maia[/name], but are those too overdone…?

Just for some more information about the character: My heroine is fifteen. She’s pretty athletic, but neither skinny nor overweight. Her personality is pretty quiet in general, but she is quite trusting of people and she’s an optimist by nature. She’s pretty studious but isn’t a slave to her schoolwork, and she likes spending time by herself reading. She has blonde/red hair and freckled, pale skin.

The other characters I have already named are [name]Claire[/name] (the antagonist) and Wood (another main character), but I am having trouble starting the story without the main character’s name.

Thanks so so so much!

I like [name]Alexa[/name] [name]Winslow[/name]. [name]Maia[/name] seems like a name that would fit a loud party girl

I like [name]Alexa[/name] [name]Winslow[/name]!

When my hands need something to do, I work (long hand!) on my ever-growing ‘short’ story. In my story, my main character is Jordis, which means sword bearer/sword maiden, and yes, she does bear a sword! Not sure if it is too “out there”, (nameberry doesn’t have it!?), but I think it is familiar sounding, but still very unique.

[name]Shannon[/name], [name]Kira[/name] and [name]Ava[/name] popped into my head.

I like [name]Alexa[/name]. To me, it’s more of a sultry name, but names are subjective sometimes!

Thanks for all of your help! I think I’m going with [name]Alexa[/name] [name]Winslow[/name], it’s starting to suit the character more and more. I really appreciate your input!
