Hello all,
I’ve been working on a story for a long time and need a middle name for the female protagonist, [name_m]Hale[/name_m] [name_u]Sinclair[/name_u]. I want it to be feminine, long and flow well. I’ve considered;
- [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]
- [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]
- [name_f]Francesca[/name_f]
- [name_f]Arianwen[/name_f]
- Meredith
Any ideas?
The first thing that springs to mind is [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. Or [name_f]Elizabetta[/name_f].
One of my favourite long feminine names is [name_f]Andromeda[/name_f]. Or [name_f]Atalanta[/name_f]. (Although that rather sounds like “All hail [name_f]Atalanta[/name_f]”)
Marieka!
[name_f]Marigold[/name_f]
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Marina[/name_f]
[name_f]Natasha[/name_f]
[name_f]Natalia[/name_f]
[name_f]Talia[/name_f]
[name_f]Ariadne[/name_f]
[name_f]Alcyone[/name_f]
[name_f]Valerie[/name_f]
I’m also tempted to suggest [name_f]Io[/name_f]. It’s short, but it’s got two syllable. [name_f]Iona[/name_f] has three.
I think you should go with [name_m]Hale[/name_m] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_u]Sinclair[/name_u]. It’s bold and very feminine!
Best wishes
When I saw this, my immediate thought was [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]. It is perfect and so feminine. It was on my favorites for a while. I couldn’t come up with anything better. I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the name [name_m]Hale[/name_m], and it is paired with the perfect last name!
I almost forgot! I don’t think [name_f]Arianwen[/name_f], [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], or [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] works well with [name_m]Hale[/name_m] [name_u]Sinclair[/name_u].
[name_f]Arianwen[/name_f] doesn’t flow right. With a simple, straightforward, yet powerful name like [name_m]Hale[/name_m], a name full of twists and turns like [name_f]Arianwen[/name_f] doesn’t fit.
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] sounds too little-girly/princessy to me. ([name_f]Emmi[/name_f]/[name_f]Emma[/name_f])
[name_f]Francesca[/name_f] is a long Italian name that needs a first or middle name that is just right with it, and [name_m]Hale[/name_m] doesn’t cut it.
I love [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], though!
