My sister’s friends mum’s name is Archana. (aRch-uh-nuh)
The family is [name]Indian[/name], so I assume it has some sort of [name]Indian[/name] relation if not an all [name]Indian[/name] name.
I don’t know of any actual variations. I can only suggest replacing the -er with a “girly” ending:
Archette
Archella
Archiana
Archibel
Archibella
Archelle (Ar-chell)
Archina (Ar-chee-nah)
Archellie (Ar-chell-ee)
Archaya (Ar-chay-uh)
Archienne (Ar-chee-enne)
Archierre (ar-chee-air)
etc
Or perhaps keep the “[name]Arch[/name]”
[name]March[/name]
[name]Marchelle[/name]
etc
Sorry that isn’t more helpful.
[name]Marcheline[/name] is the closest I could think of.
I guess there’s [name]Bow[/name] and [name]Arrow[/name], if you want to be literal. Or Archa. It isn’t a feminization, but how about [name]Artemis[/name]?
Perhaps take the word Archery and go with [name]Cherry[/name] or [name]Cheri[/name].
Names that mean bow:
Yumi
Yumiko
(Japanese for “bow child” or “Child of the bow and arrow” - Might want to triple check that)
Names that mean arrow:
Nibal (Arabic)
Ouray (Native American)
That’s all I got.
What about [name]Artemis[/name]? It starts with the same sound, and in Greek mythology, [name]Artemis[/name] is the goddess of the hunt and so is an archer.
I also think [name]Artemis[/name] is your best bet, and a great name!
