I love Ferelith! I don’t think it’s too hard to pronounce, it’s a rare name but the pronunciation seems pretty intuitive to me.

It has a few pronunciations depending on where you are in Scotland/Ireland (I’d say fair-leeth, I’ve friends who’d say fair-lith) but I don’t think that should cause too much trouble seeing as it’s only the equivalent of an Eva saying whether she’s ee-vuh or eh-vuh.
Personally I’ve always liked Ferris as a nn for it! Other options: Fairy, Fae, Effie, and I love the suggestion of Erie too.

I would pronounce it fair-uh-lith (I have no idea if that’s correct, I’m just reading it phonetically in my accent). I think it’s lovely and mystical-sounding. I don’t think it’s hard to pronounce, unless you pronounce it a completely different way from me. I would use [name_f]Fairy[/name_f] as a nickname, but I would also suggest [name_f]Litha[/name_f] (a pagan term for the summer solstice).

I don’t know how to say it. I don’t like the lith part. I love [name_f]Fenella[/name_f] and many Celtic names which I also probably pronounce wrong. I adore the male Feardorchka (probably misspelled by this point!). It’s just the lith I don’t like. It reminds me of kale, a mouth full of feathers.
