[name_m]Hi[/name_m] berries!
[name_m]How[/name_m] do you all feel about the name [name_m]Fergal[/name_m]? I love it and feel like it fits perfectly into the “grandpa name” category but it seems that i’m the only one :-? Everyone I’ve mentioned it to has said that it looks/sounds much like feral. Admittiedly I have a hugely positive assosiation with the name so Im wondering if thats whats drawing me too it. Opinions? and if you do like it any middle name suggestions?
Personally, I don’t love it. It does sound a bit like farel, also frugal and “fur girl” to me. THat being said, if you absolutely love it, then go for it. If you’re open to suggestions, [name_m]Fergus[/name_m] and [name_m]Virgil[/name_m] are pretty similar.

If it’s any consolation, I don’t think it sounds like feral at all. I say it fair-al, whereas [name_m]Fergal[/name_m] looks like it should be said fur-gall. Am I right about the pronunciation?
It sounds very Irish to me. It’s not my cup of tea, but it’s not terrible. If you love it, use it!
I pronounce it fur-gul. I don’t think it sounds much like feral either but thats all I ever get when I bring it up lol and yes its irish 
Sounds like frugal and fur gal to me. Also reminds me of the singer [name_u]Fergie[/name_u]. That being said, use it if you love it!
