I just want to ask fellow berries how they feel about [name_m]Fergus[/name_m]? It’s a guilty pleasure name for both my husband and myself. [name_m]How[/name_m] horrible would you be if you named your child [name_m]Fergus[/name_m]?
I have recently fell in love with [name_m]Fergus[/name_m] as well. I would definitely consider it for a boy name. I have a Scottish background so I like that as well. [name_m]Duncan[/name_m] is another Scottish favorite of mine.
I love [name_m]Fergus[/name_m]! I think it is incredibly handsome.
I have a Scottish heritage as well, and also like [name_m]Duncan[/name_m]. I think [name_m]Colum[/name_m] is sweet too but dh vetoed that one. I’m glad that others see [name_m]Fergus[/name_m] as the gem that I do!
I absolutely love [name_m]Fergus[/name_m] and would certainly consider it for a child. It’s so handsome and one of my favorites!
I see the appeal, but also the caution. It’s a bit nerdy.
[name_f]My[/name_f] coworker, in his 50s, is named [name_m]Fergus[/name_m] and he’s definitely made me see it in a new light. He’s super intelligent, witty, fun-loving.
I think I automatically discard it for my own use because [name_u]Fergie[/name_u] is a female icon of sorts. But I can see it working these days!
I adore [name_m]Fergus[/name_m] - I love any name that can be shortened as [name_u]Gus[/name_u], and the Ferguses I know are all younger Brits (well, Scots) and one Irishman, and they are all really nice guys.
I love Scottish names, I have many on my list. [name_m]Fergus[/name_m] is one I’ve always been hesitant about - I love it in principle, but worry about how it would be received in the real world. One thing that does make it more wearable is that it shortens to [name_u]Gus[/name_u], very cute! Other Scottish names that I love:
[name_m]Alasdair[/name_m]
[name_m]Conall[/name_m]
[name_u]Douglas[/name_u]
[name_m]Evander[/name_m]
[name_m]Graham[/name_m]
[name_m]Lachlan[/name_m]
