[name_f]Do[/name_f] [name_f]Demi[/name_f] and [name_f]Megan[/name_f] sound dated? I pronounce them DEH-mee and MEH-gan, and pronunciations are reason why these are on my list. I am wrong on pronunciations? Is [name_f]Demi[/name_f] too celebrity related?

See my signature? Is it pretentious? Not that it bothers me, but I would rather it sound posh. Be honest, though.

Any names to add or remove to my signature and why? What imagery you get from names in sig?
I definitely don’t think [name_f]Demi[/name_f] is dated as I have never met anyone real life with the name. I don’t think it’s any more celebrity than [name_u]Ashton[/name_u], [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f], or [name_f]Mila[/name_f] (as in not at all).
I did have about three [name_f]Megan[/name_f]'s in my grade (born '92) and all spelled differently. This makes it dated for me, though I believe datedness varies depending on an individual’s association with the name.
I think your signature is posh but not pretentious. In fact, we share a few favourites! Some of mine might fit in with yours, ie. [name_m]Maxen[/name_m], [name_f]Rhoswen[/name_f], [name_f]Eira[/name_f], [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], [name_f]Briar[/name_f], [name_u]Aeron[/name_u].
Thanks for quick reply, ziggy, I really do love your [name_f]Rhoswen[/name_f] [name_f]Lark[/name_f], [name_f]Rhoswen[/name_f] alone a bit more. And [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], too.
I know 2 girls under 10 with the name [name_f]Demi[/name_f]. I haven’t run in to any [name_f]Megan[/name_f]'s recently but I think it’s a cute name and is fine to use today. I didn’t think they’re dated. I pronounce both as you do. Your signature names aren’t my style so I don’t really have anything to say about them…
