Few weeks to go and can't decide

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone,

We are expecting a baby girl in a few weeks but are having a difficult time deciding on a name. We like the name [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] but also wanted to use [name_f]Anne[/name_f] as a middle name if possible to honor our mom. Due to [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] ending in A and [name_f]Anne[/name_f] beginning with the same letter we are hung up on if this will sound ok. Should we go with [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f], a variation of the names or maybe one of the other first names we considered? Some of the other first names we like are:
[name_f]Maya[/name_f]
[name_f]Vera[/name_f]
[name_f]Camila[/name_f]
[name_f]Selena[/name_f]
Your opinions would be appreciated!

Maybe you could use [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] [name_f]Leanne[/name_f]. It flows beautifully and it’s very elegant.

I think it sounds fine. [name_f]Anne[/name_f] is (or used to be) a common middle name that fits with pretty much anything. It happens to be my middle too. And I also have the “an” sound in my first name as well.
If you love the name and it has meaning to you I would use it.
Of your other choices I like [name_f]Camila[/name_f] best and then [name_f]Vera[/name_f], but if [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] is your favorite use it!

[name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] sounds fine to me!

[name_f]Maya[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] and [name_f]Camila[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] work nicely too!

[name_f]Anne[/name_f] means grace so [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] might work?
[name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] [name_f]Leanne[/name_f] is a good suggestion from pp and you’ve also got [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] [name_f]Brianne[/name_f], [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] [name_f]Jeanne[/name_f], [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] [name_f]Joanne[/name_f]?
[name_f]Maya[/name_f] [name_f]Vivianne[/name_f] came to mind too.

Use [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f]! It is fine and even if you feel the flow is slightly off, I think that honouring a loved one trumps flow and you should use the first name you love the most. She will be known as [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] (last name) and in day-to-day life, we seldom say our first and middle names together.

I like [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f]!

I think [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] works because the “a” sound that [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] ends with is a different from the “a” sound that [name_f]Anne[/name_f] begins with. I wouldn’t worry about it all. The full name is lovely!

[name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] is really beautiful!

[name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] sounds fine to me! There isn’t a stumble in pronunciation, so I don’t think it clashes. If you really like [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f], use it! Besides, all of your other options end in -a anyways, so you would run into the same doubts. I do love [name_f]Selena[/name_f] though

I love the way it sounds and flows. I don’t see a problem at all.

[name_m]Say[/name_m] [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] out loud. It sounds fine because the ending A in the [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] is different from the A in [name_f]Anne[/name_f].

[name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] is beautiful — how refreshing to see [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] today! It’s very underused now, but such a pretty choice.

If you’re really hung up on the A sounds, your other ideas would all have the same problem. Maybe something like [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f], [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f], [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] or [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f]? But go with your heart! [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] works beautifully.
