I have been reading fantasy literature and I fell in love with many names from those books. I would feel comfortable using some of these names, while others will just stay guilty pleasures :wink:

Did this happened to you? Which books/ movies/ series inspired you? And mostly, which names? Would you feel comfortable using them? Have fun sharing your favorites!

Katara was always a named I loved as a kid :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: and ever since I was little I been a fan of space names due to [name_u]Sailor[/name_u] [name_f]Moon[/name_f]! ([name_f]Luna[/name_f], [name_f]Serenity[/name_f], [name_m]Endymion[/name_m],etcs)

I think I would use a lot of names that would coincidentally align with series I love such as the name [name_f]Alice[/name_f] (Iā€™m thinking [name_u]Twilight[/name_u] but also know [name_f]Alice[/name_f] in Wonderland)

Iā€™m absolutely in love with the name Asuna but Iā€™m worried it might be a bit too SAO :sweat_smile:

Also adding [name_f]Arwen[/name_f], [name_f]Lydia[/name_f], [name_f]Hermione[/name_f], [name_f]Nimue[/name_f], [name_m]Emrys[/name_m], [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], [name_m]Godric[/name_m], [name_m]Tommen[/name_m], [name_u]Percy[/name_u], [name_m]Lucius[/name_m], and [name_m]Sirius[/name_m]. I donā€™t mind using them in the future if Iā€™m honest, the only thing that prevents me from using some is their popularity or because they donā€™t fit with the other names I likeā€¦

Estella was my #1 name for about 5 years because of this book, unfortunately i know someone irl with the name now so its no longer on the list but itā€™s just beautiful :heart_eyes:

I LOVE [name_f]Katara[/name_f] - for years I had planned on using it as a first name. Since joining nameberry Iā€™ve moved it to the middle spot as I found a combo I love even more than the name itself. As of a couple days ago, Iā€™m even more glad Iā€™ve secured it in the middle spot as friends just named their brand new baby girl [name_f]Tara[/name_f] (and Iā€™m not sure how theyā€™re pronouncing it) so Iā€™m glad I donā€™t need to fret about whether the names would be confusing together!

I fell in love with [name_m]Finnick[/name_m] after reading the Hunger Games trilogy. I donā€™t intend to use it because it doesnā€™t flow great with my partnerā€™s surname (or the new surname options weā€™re considering). Itā€™s just not in the cards for me, but I would love to hear of someone else using it :blush:

I like [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] a little bit better now because of Heroes of [name_m]Olympus[/name_m]
[name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] from the Hunger Games and [name_f]Livia[/name_f] from the [name_m]Ballad[/name_m] of Songbirds and Snakes
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] because of Divergent
