Figure this name out for me!!

I have posted SEVERAL times on here and we just can’t seem to come up with a name for our baby girl that we love and everyone else is ok with. We want to incorporate (if possible), these three names in some form or fashion…[name_f]Clara[/name_f] or [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_u]Reese[/name_u]. Our last name is [name_m]Smith[/name_m] so it needs to flow with that! Any ideas welcome! Thanks so much!

Ok, so I haven’t read all your other posts or seen what you’ve all considered. But I like the idea or simply [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_u]Reese[/name_u] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] S---- or [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u] S----. [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] has some wonderful nickname options like [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_f]Evie[/name_f], [name_f]Evvie[/name_f]… which really makes me like it.

I was trying to avoid two middles if possible. But not sure it’s going to be. My husband and I had originally loved Reeslyn [name_f]Claire[/name_f] but it didn’t get the popular vote on here to say the least.

Could you hyphenate? [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_u]Reese[/name_u]-[name_f]Claire[/name_f] is nice.

Ahhhh. Well if you and your husband both love Reeslyn [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and think it might be the one, go for it! It’s cute!

I think that the only way to go about using three names without two middles is by making a smoosh name, like the one you said or doing a double barrel first.

Ex of double barrel-
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] or [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] or [name_f]Evie[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is the first name with middle name [name_u]Reese[/name_u].
If you go this route I personally prefer [name_f]Evie[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u] or [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u].

What about [name_f]Clarissa[/name_f], [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f] or [name_f]Larissa[/name_f]? That kinda smoosh [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_u]Reese[/name_u] together. [name_f]Clarissa[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] or [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f].

Would you simply do [name_f]Evie[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] for a double barrel? I feel like that is till just giving her two middle names. Or a hyphenated [name_f]Evie[/name_f]-[name_f]Claire[/name_f]? Or [name_f]Evie[/name_f]-[name_u]Reese[/name_u]?
I do love [name_f]Evie[/name_f], that’s cute!

TBH made-up names hardly ever get the popular vote on nameberry, but don’t let our opinions sway you from a name you truly love. From all your previous posts it seems Reeslyn is the name you keep coming back too, which to me is a good sign that you’ve found the right name.

Have you considered the name Clarice/ Clarisse/ Clarissa as a way to more smoothly combine Claire and Reese? Evelyn Clarice Smith has that golden 3-2-1 syllable flow.

I think you should go for Reeslyn, even though it is a “made up” name it doesn’t sound obscure at all, in fact I am warming up to it like I said in a previous post. And I think it is the best name to use to incorporate all the names on your list.

Here’s a few ideas:
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] Riesling [name_m]Smith[/name_m] (I kind of like the Riesling spelling)
[name_f]Clarissa[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_m]Smith[/name_m] nn [name_u]Reese[/name_u]
[name_f]Theresa[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_m]Smith[/name_m] nn [name_u]Reese[/name_u]
[name_f]Therese[/name_f] [name_f]Lynnea[/name_f] [name_m]Smith[/name_m] nn [name_u]Reese[/name_u]
[name_u]Reese[/name_u] [name_f]Caralynn[/name_f] [name_m]Smith[/name_m]
Reesie [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_m]Smith[/name_m]

I hope you find a name you love!

My daughter is [name_f]Clara[/name_f], so I’m biased there. I would use [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]. I also love [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. I know you love Reeselyn, though

Thank you! I do love the name but I don’t want people to think it’s weird. I guess I shouldn’t care, but I do! Lol!

I think the first step is to eliminate worrying about making other people happy. You should 100% use the name that you both love and that perfectly incorporates the three names that are meaningful to you! Plus you mentioned previously that the people in your real life have loved Reeslyn [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. Who cares what we strangers think? Anyway, I think it’s very sweet. Reeslyn [name_f]Clara[/name_f] works too.

[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f]
[name_u]Reese[/name_u] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Therese[/name_f]
“[name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u]” [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
“[name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]” [name_u]Reese[/name_u]
[name_f]Evelina[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u]
My favorite: [name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f]

I don’t really like made-up names like Reeslyn because they seem dated to me and not very elegant. Like I’d rather go with 3 middle names than a convenient smoosh name. But it’s all a matter of preference. I’m from [name_f]Virginia[/name_f] btw.

I do agree that you keep going back to Reeslyn and if you really like it that much, use it. I don’t like it, but you like it, your husband likes it, your family/friends? those are way more important than strangers on the internet.

[name_f]Clarisse[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]/[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f]
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]-[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u]

If you love Reeslyn, go for it! It reminds me of a nice Riesling on a summer day

I think that Reeslyn [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is cute and if you like it, you should use it!

I would vote for [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f]/[name_f]Clarice[/name_f] ([name_f]Claire[/name_f]+[name_u]Reese[/name_u]).
