Hello! We’ve narrowed down our baby girl’s name to four options - I’m due in late [name_f]October[/name_f], so we still have time, but I wanted some opinions on our choices.
We love the meaning of all three names, but with both Christophine [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] and [name_f]Christiane[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f], we’re not sure of what her nickname would be. We like both [name_u]Julie[/name_u] and [name_u]Jules[/name_u] if [name_f]Julia[/name_f] is used, but we’re not big fans of [name_u]Chris[/name_u] or [name_u]Alex[/name_u] on a girl. Any ideas are welcome!
[name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Christiane[/name_f] is absolutely gorgeous! All your options are nice, but that one really stood out to me. Is there any significance behind Christophine? It almost feels like a forced feminization, but also very intriguing at the same time. I love the sound of it.
I would think you could use Rissy, [name_f]Annie[/name_f] (for [name_f]Christiane[/name_f]), or [name_u]Fee[/name_u]/[name_f]Fifi[/name_f]/[name_f]Fina[/name_f] (for Christophine), or even [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] for Christophine. Or [name_u]Lexi[/name_u], [name_f]Alexa[/name_f], [name_f]Annie[/name_f], [name_f]Andra[/name_f], [name_u]Lex[/name_u], [name_u]Sasha[/name_u], etc., for [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f].
[name_f]Julia[/name_f] Christophine is lovely! I love [name_f]Julia[/name_f]. Christophine intrigues me. Maybe you could use one of these for Christophine?:
[name_u]Christy[/name_u]
[name_u]Fee[/name_u] (this means ‘fairy’ in [name_m]French[/name_m])
[name_f]Fia[/name_f]
[name_f]Fina[/name_f]
[name_u]Steph[/name_u]/Stephie
We’re also open to flipping the order on them, as we think [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] Christophine and [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] [name_f]Christiane[/name_f] would also work.
For those that asked, Christophine is a named that I’ve loved for a long time, ever since I read the novel Wide Sargasso Sea. I always thought it was an incredibly strong name for a girl, and am hoping this is an opportunity to use it. As for [name_f]Christiane[/name_f], my husband and I are considering it as an honor name for our friend who introduced us, who unfortunately passed away a few years ago. We both love the ease of [name_f]Julia[/name_f], but adore the meaning of [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] at the same time - loving one too many names has been causing more decision-making problems than I realized, argh!
