[name]Cole[/name] [name]Keefer[/name] sounds a bit abrupt to my ear. I like the gentler and longer [name]Nolan[/name], especially with the monosyllabic middle [name]James[/name].
I prefer [name]Nolan[/name]
Overall, I like [name]Cole[/name] better than [name]Nolan[/name]. But, with the last name, I also think it sounds very abrupt. So, as far as future introductions, school rosters, call-outs in the GP’s office, etc… I think [name]Nolan[/name] [name]Keefer[/name] sounds much better.
Possibly something a little longer: [name]Colby[/name], or [name]Coleman[/name], [name]Coleridge[/name], [name]Colton[/name]/[name]Colten[/name].
I much prefer [name]Cole[/name] as a first name but [name]Cole[/name] [name]Keefer[/name] doesn’t sound good at all. [name]Nolan[/name] [name]Keefer[/name] sounds great.
I like [name]Nolan[/name] [name]James[/name]. [name]Cole[/name] [name]Keefer[/name] doesn’t flow as well.
[name]Nolan[/name] [name]James[/name] sounds like a famous person to me -which was funny when I looked up the meaning (on babynames.com & behindthename.com it says that '[name]Nolan[/name]" means “famous”). I even googled the name to see if there is already a famous [name]Nolan[/name] [name]James[/name], but came up empty.
So… I really like [name]Nolan[/name] [name]James[/name] [name]Keefer[/name].
[name]Cole[/name] [name]Keefer[/name] -I don’t really like the aliteration or the fact that fn & mn are both one syllable, plus, it’s a bit abrupt as pp mentioned. [name]Nolan[/name] is a unique but strong name and paired with [name]James[/name], it’s gorgeous.
I really like both of these names. I think [name]Nolan[/name] [name]James[/name] is a very handsome combination. Maybe a longer form of [name]Cole[/name] for a formal name with the nn [name]Cole[/name] would be nice though. [name]Coleman[/name] [name]James[/name] or [name]Colton[/name] [name]James[/name] sound great.
I much prefer [name]Cole[/name] over [name]Nolan[/name], but “[name]Cole[/name] [name]Keefer[/name]” doesn’t work for me. It’s not the alliterative beginning…it’s more that it sounds clipped and harsh to my ear.
I voted for [name]Cole[/name] because I love that name. But I agree that it’s not a great pairing with the last name. I like the idea of making [name]Cole[/name] into a longer name somehow if you’re up for that.
I like [name]Cole[/name] better as a name, but [name]Nolan[/name] much better with your surname.
Like the above poster’s suggestion. What about [name]Coleman[/name] nn [name]Cole[/name]? or something along those lines?
Thanks everyone for confirming my initial thoughts on [name]Cole[/name]- now I just need to convince my husband
I like [name]Nolan[/name] with your last name
I agree with most of the above. [name]Cole[/name] and [name]Nolan[/name] are both nice names, but [name]Nolan[/name] works with your last name.
[name]Nolan[/name] [name]James[/name] - I love the names and they work perfectly with your surname!
[name]Nolan[/name] [name]James[/name] gets my vote. I agree that if you decide to go for [name]Cole[/name] it would flow better with a longer form of the name.
Good [name]Luck[/name]!
