I love [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m]
I think that [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] goes great with [name_f]Willow[/name_f]!
I think you’ve answered your own question. As much as you like [name_m]Luke[/name_m], you say it’s not the one. Whereas, for [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] you say if feels more right
If you are saddened about never using [name_m]Luke[/name_m] as a name, maybe reconsider that as [name_u]Darcy[/name_u]'s mn?
Alternatively, bring both names with you to the hospital, and see which name suits him once he has arrived.
My favorite is still [name_u]Darcy[/name_u].
It’s always hard to let go of names. But it seems like this baby is [name_u]Darcy[/name_u]. (Which I prefer by about 110%). I’ve always had trouble letting go of our almost names. Especially with baby #3 since he was our last. But I don’t regret not using those names even a little now that I know my kids as the names we gave them.
Good luck and congratulations!
I agree, your description makes it abundantly clear which name is the right one for this baby.
Go with your heart and when 10-year-old [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] talks you into getting a puppy, you can have your [name_m]Luke[/name_m] after all!
This made me laugh really hard.
[name_u]Darcey[/name_u] [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]
You can use one as a mn. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] [name_m]Luke[/name_m] or [name_m]Luke[/name_m] [name_u]Darcy[/name_u]?
Thank you all so far - I appreciate such thoughtful responses.
river_dweller - the MN will definitely be [name_m]Joseph[/name_m], as it is a family name. But yes, we just may end up bringing both to hospital.
llbaby22* - your response brought a smile to my face. I am happy to hear that!!
katinka - lol! That is very very true. Thank you for the laugh.
valeria8888 - I would love [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] [name_m]Luke[/name_m], but the MN is non-negotiable, as it is a family name. But I definitely thought of it!!
Your post is so passionate about your love for [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] - I haven’t had any children of my own yet, but I imagine this is how I’d want to feel about choosing a name when I do. [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] is a fabulous name, and a wonderful pair with [name_f]Willow[/name_f]! Take both with you, see which one fits when he’s here, and don’t look back!
I am smitten with [name_u]Darcy[/name_u]!
Are you against two MNs? [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] Jospeh [name_m]Luke[/name_m] has a nice ring to it, and none of the names are long enough for it to be overbearing [name_f]IMO[/name_f]
[name_u]Darcy[/name_u] sounds feminine to me. [name_m]Luke[/name_m] is a strong, masculine name.
I agree with prior post. [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] sounds a little feminine to me. [name_m]Luke[/name_m] is a very solid masculine name!
[name_u]Darcy[/name_u] is so much stronger than [name_m]Luke[/name_m]. I definitely prefer [name_u]Darcy[/name_u]. If you feel this is the right name, then use it. I would rather let go of [name_m]Luke[/name_m], than use it and regret it.
I agree with this combo idea - very handsome!
