Wow, they’re all even!
Please leave why you voted, too :)!
I picked [name]Angelina[/name] [name]Margot[/name] [name]Claire[/name] - because I think it’s so cute that your daughter picked the name [name]Angelina[/name], and I think it will be a great story to tell later on when they’re older. I also am starting to love the name [name]Claire[/name] for a MN. I do love [name]Genevieve[/name], but I like [name]Angelina[/name] [name]Margot[/name] [name]Claire[/name] better All your name choices are great, but this one’s my favorite!
I love [name]Vivienne[/name]!! Although I am a huge fan of the actress ([name]Leigh[/name]- Gone with the Wind). It is a classic beautiful name. And while I am familiar with [name]Angelina[/name] Ballerina, it is not the first [name]Angelina[/name] I think of and I’m not a huge fan of that particular [name]Angie[/name].
I voted for [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Adora[/name] [name]Shea[/name]. I don’t [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Adora[/name], but I think the rhythm is great, I like how it mirrors [name]Rosalie[/name]'s name, and I love [name]Rosalie[/name] with [name]Genevieve[/name] best. [name]Vivienne[/name] would be my second pick; I think it’s gorgeous. But I just didn’t like it as much with [name]Rosalie[/name], and I don’t love that they end with so much “n”: [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Tomlin[/name]. The only one I don’t care for is [name]Angelina[/name]. I don’t like how fussy it looks to me; I don’t care for its nicknames ([name]Ange[/name], [name]Angie[/name], [name]Lina[/name], etc) or that a lot of people might say, “As in [name]Jolie[/name]?”; and while I love the [name]Angelina[/name] Ballerina books, I wouldn’t exactly want to be named after them. That said, my parents asked five-year-old me what we should name my new baby sister, and my suggestions were Buttons and Prayer, so I’d say [name]Rosalie[/name]'s doing way better than I was.
Thank you to everyone so far!
The downside about [name]Angelina[/name] is [name]Angelina[/name] [name]Jolie[/name], who I also dislike, like many of you. Althought it is cute that [name]Rosalie[/name] picked it out, I wouldn’t want people to be like [name]Jolie[/name]? whenever they heard her name.
Please keep voting!
I picked [name]Angelina[/name] [name]Margot[/name] [name]Claire[/name], because since your first post, I have been in love with any [name]Angelina[/name] combo. It doesn’t remind me at all of [name]Angelina[/name] [name]Jolie[/name], because she’s never know as just [name]Angelina[/name], I always call her by her full name, if that makes sense? The story that you’re daughter picked it out is also just adorable. And also, the middles are both favorites of mine. [name]Margot[/name] sounds so happy and smiley, and [name]Claire[/name] is classic and poised. With [name]Angelina[/name], they make a beautiful name for any little girl. Good luck!
I think it would be a shame to turn down a beautiful name like [name]Angelina[/name] because of HER, and I can’t see the name spiking up the list in the future because it would have occurred by now as she is so talked about.
I like [name]Angelina[/name] [name]Margot[/name] but don’t like [name]Claire[/name], maybe [name]Angelina[/name] [name]Margot[/name] [name]Rae[/name]?
[name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Adora[/name] [name]Shay[/name] has a really lovely flow and it is quite unique too. I don’t really like [name]Adora[/name] or [name]Shay[/name] but it makes a great combo.
I love [name]Genevieve[/name] and like [name]Angelina[/name] is so feminine and pretty as is [name]Rosalie[/name]'s name.
[name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Reina[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] is a lovely combo with great flow and style and I like this pretty one very much.
I think [name]Vivienne[/name] and [name]Rosalie[/name] go well together, they sound very English whereas the other two have an exotic flavour (which of course is lovely.)
I think as sisters I would have to opt for [name]Vivienne[/name] and [name]Rosalie[/name] and if you had a [name]Genevieve[/name] a sister named [name]Angelina[/name] would be perfect.
I am having great trouble making up my mind which one I like the most as I like frilly names like [name]Angelina[/name] and [name]Genevieve[/name].
I will vote for [name]Vivienne[/name] although I love them all.
rollo
Thank you everyone!
I’m so stuck on all these names, because I love them all equally, while everyone else around me has a favorite.
Please keep voting :)! It’s helping a lot!
I voted for [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Reina[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]. Its just so beautiful and it flows great. Plus [name]Vivienne[/name] and [name]Rosalie[/name] sound so cute together. I wouldn’t let [name]Angelina[/name] [name]Jolie[/name] sway you from using [name]Angelina[/name]. It has a great story behind it, and a great meaning to you and your family. Also, [name]Genevieve[/name] is pretty, and I love the name [name]Adora[/name] too, but [name]Vivienne[/name] is still my favorite!
At first glance I wanted to choose the combo with [name]Genevieve[/name] but I couldn’t resist the flow of [name]Angelina[/name] [name]Margot[/name] [name]Claire[/name]. I don’t think [name]Angelina[/name] is entirely associated with [name]Angelina[/name] [name]Jolie[/name]. If it was [name]Jolie[/name], some red flags would go up for me - but [name]Angelina[/name] I find quite classic and classy.
I also love the idea of her big sis choosing her name to create a special bond between the two of them.
You cannot go wrong with any of these combos. What a terrific list you get to bring to the hospital with you!
I voted for [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Adora[/name] [name]Shay[/name]! I love the story behind [name]Angelina[/name] and think it’s so adorable, but I’m just utterly in love with [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Adora[/name] [name]Shay[/name] as a combo. [name]Genevieve[/name] has been one of my favorites for a very long time, and, while I like [name]Vivienne[/name] and [name]Angelina[/name], they just don’t compare to [name]Genevieve[/name] imo!
I also like [name]Rosalie[/name] and [name]Genevieve[/name] together much more than I like [name]Rosalie[/name] and [name]Angelina[/name] or [name]Rosalie[/name] and [name]Vivienne[/name], if that matters…
Good luck!
You guys are right, the [name]Angelina[/name] [name]Jolie[/name] connotation shouldn’t override our love for the name.
[name]Even[/name] so, I see myself leaning towards [name]Genevieve[/name]. DH, too. If [name]Rosalie[/name] didn’t love [name]Angelina[/name] so much, I feel like [name]Genevieve[/name] would be our top pick. We’re trying to think of a compromise, like letting her pick the middle name or something. But I’d feel guilty to throw away a name she loved. It’s tough!
Thank you for all the help so far :).
I voted for [name]Angelina[/name] [name]Margot[/name] [name]Claire[/name]. Here’s why:
[name]Angelina[/name]: it’s the top for both sis and your mom, that’s important. [name]Rosalie[/name] has a “rose” in it, [name]Angelina[/name] has an “angel” in it. They both get a pretty word in their name.
[name]Paloma[/name] [name]Skye[/name] has a tie-in: from your parents, doves fly in a sky.
[name]Margot[/name] [name]Claire[/name]: bright/clear pearl. Beautiful.
Maybe the other names have tie ins like that I’m not seeing, but they’re clearest in [name]Angelina[/name] [name]Margot[/name] [name]Claire[/name].
I do love the other names too though, I can see why it’s hard for you : D.
The [name]Genevieve[/name] combo has the initials of GAS, by the way :…I know with your last name it’s GAST ([name]German[/name] for guest), so not a huge deal…just thought I’d be sure you’d considered and decided you were fine with it.
All best!
I, too, voted for [name]Vivienne[/name]. I love some of the other middle names more than the ones you paired with [name]Vivienne[/name] ([name]LOVE[/name] [name]Margot[/name]) but, realistically, when is she going to use all 3 names together? Out of the 3 first names, I like the nickname possibilities for [name]Vivienne[/name] best and think that [name]Vivi[/name] [name]Tomlin[/name] sounds very spunky. I cannot find a nn for [name]Angelina[/name] that I like and really dislike the idea of the use of [name]Angel[/name], which reminds me of the whole backwards heaven “[name]Nevaeh[/name]” name trends. I think that, of the 3, [name]Angelina[/name] is the girliest/cutsiest sounding name while Viviene and [name]Genevieve[/name] will age better - easier to wear as an adult.
Good luck.
What about [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Angelina[/name] [name]Shay[/name]? It’s a bit longer (syllable wise), but you get to keep the [name]Genevieve[/name] that you both love so much, and [name]Rosalie[/name] gets to have her lovely [name]Angelina[/name]. I still like [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Adora[/name] [name]Shay[/name], personally, but [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Angelina[/name] [name]Shay[/name] is a girly, sweet compromise that might make [name]Rosalie[/name] happy. She could call her sister [name]Angelina[/name] sometimes, maybe, and you guys could call her [name]Genevieve[/name]/[name]Ginny[/name]/[name]Evie[/name]/[name]Niamh[/name]/[name]Eve[/name]/[name]Gen[/name]/etc.
I picked the [name]Angelina[/name] combo because that was the combo that had all names I liked. I don’t really care for the [name]Adora[/name] in the GenRevieve combo or the [name]Reina[/name] in the [name]Vivienne[/name] although I love both [name]Genevieve[/name] and [name]Vivienne[/name]. [name]Angelina[/name] was just the best choice overall.
You’re absolutely right! [name]Rosalie[/name]'s name has just meaning to us, and I’ve wanted this baby’s name to be just as lovely and important.
My mother is French and loves [name]Margot[/name]. And the meaning has us all in awe.
[name]Rosalie[/name] loves it, and now that you’ve pointed out the beautiful meaning, my dad has put his vote towards [name]Angelina[/name] and DH is really loving it.
Thank you :)!
Like ashthedreamer’s suggestion of putting [name]Angelina[/name] in a mn spot for [name]Rosalie[/name] - I think it works with either [name]Genevieve[/name] or [name]Vivienne[/name].
[name]Angelina[/name] is my mums name. No one ever associates the name with the other [name]Angelina[/name].
