@jonquils - thank you so much for the beautifully thoughtful comment! I loved hearing your thoughts on these names. I hear you on [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] - we do have Italian roots, which is what drew me to the name
While I think [name_f]Willow[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f] would make a beautiful magical pair of sisters, I worry that names you into a corner so to speak for any future babies. So I voted for [name_f]Fiona[/name_f], I think she goes with [name_f]Willow[/name_f] just as well as [name_f]Violet[/name_f], I can picture the pair running through fields of wildflowers playing pretend.
[name_f]Noemi[/name_f] is my definite favourite and it may because I know a beautiful and bright little [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] that it has such a lovely connection for me. I like that [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] is a bit unusual, but easy to spell and say and has a unique feel.
I love [name_f]Violet[/name_f]! It’s stunning. [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Willow[/name_f] would make an adorable sibset. All the names are extremely beautiful. [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] is my second favorite. [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] stands out from the other names because it has a very distinct sound. I feel that all names have small similarities to [name_f]Willow[/name_f], whether related to the spellings (share letters) or related to the names’ sounds. That’s really cute. But in my opinion [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] allows you to give your children more individual/exclusive names (I’m not sure if I’m explaining myself correctly). My third choice would be [name_f]Noemi[/name_f]!
[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.
This was hard, because you really can’t go wrong w/any of them. Here are my thoughts:
[name_f]Emilia[/name_f]-I think this is lovely, but I feel like it would get annoying constantly being mistaken for [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]. I don’t care for [name_f]Emmy[/name_f]. It sounds too cutesy next to the whimsical [name_f]Willow[/name_f].
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f]-This is my dog’s name (and I’m completely obsessed with her :), so obviously I love it. It goes nicely w/[name_f]Willow[/name_f]. It’s smart & feminine, & I think grows up well.
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]-This is my second favorite. I fear it’s getting really popular though. It is pretty & a little vintage, & has a sweet nature theme like [name_f]Willow[/name_f].
[name_f]Noemi[/name_f]-This name is not typically a name that I like a lot, but it’s kind of different & refreshing. Seems like a nice choice.
So, I’m no help. I like them all. I love [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] the most, but you really can’t go wrong. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.
It was between [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] for me, but [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] ultimately got my vote. [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] is sweet, with a touch of zest, and would work well on all ages, and people of all walks of life (a name that’d suit an artist, a teacher or a lawyer). [name_f]Willow[/name_f] & [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] ‘[name_f]Emmy[/name_f]’ sound great together as sisters, and also, the long O sounds in both [name_m]Will[/name_m]ow and Noemi repeat which while not at all bad, is a little awkward when both names are said together.
I love both [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Fiona[/name_f]!
In order of preference… [name_f]Emilia[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Fiona[/name_f], [name_f]Noemi[/name_f].
[name_f]Emilia[/name_f] is not my style, but is very pretty! I find it super feminine, and even a tad frilly… but this spelling gives it a bit of an exotic feel to it.
I quite like [name_f]Violet[/name_f]. Nature names have a classic, sweet sound to them, but [name_f]Violet[/name_f] also has that spunky edge to it. It it well known and loved, but does not have the over-use factor that goes with names like [name_f]Rose[/name_f].
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] has a bit of a “boring, old lady name” vibe to me. I have always found it a bit clunky sounding, and lacking feminine charm.
I much prefer [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] to [name_f]Noemi[/name_f], and even then I wouldn’t say I like [name_f]Naomi[/name_f]. These names just do not have an appealing sound to me.
I love [name_f]Emmy[/name_f], so I voted for [name_f]Emilia[/name_f].
[name_f]Willow[/name_f] and [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] sound so sweet, I picture girls with their long hair blowing in the breeze collecting flowers in a field. It’s weird for me to get imagery, but there you go!
I like them all, but I love [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Noemi[/name_f].
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] feels like a natural sister for [name_f]Willow[/name_f] — literally! They have the exact same sweet yet unfussy, current but not super-common, bohemian yet tailored appeal.
[name_f]Noemi[/name_f] is more unexpected but it’s a real favourite of mine, with its bright, clean sound and unconventional shape. I don’t find it heavy or clunky at all — in fact, I think it’s got a lovely airy, fluid sound. It would make a stunningly distinctive sister for [name_f]Willow[/name_f], especially given your heritage.
