Hello everyone,
I am currently 32 weeks pregnant with our twins, brothers to [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], [name_m]Lucas[/name_m], [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], [name_u]Quentin[/name_u], and [name_m]Samuel[/name_m]. We have their names down to either of the two options above. Which ones do you prefer as their first names?
As we are in love with all four names, the plan is to pick one set and having the other as their middle names (or is that really dumb?), but we’re not sure how to combine. [name_m]Julius[/name_m] and [name_u]Laurence[/name_u] both end in the -s sound and [name_m]Duncan[/name_m] and [name_m]Augustin[/name_m] both end in the -n sound. We are not too keen on combining like that, but [name_m]Duncan[/name_m] [name_u]Laurence[/name_u] is a [name_m]Dutch[/name_m] singer (my husband is [name_m]Dutch[/name_m]) and although we don’t live there, we’re still a bit unsure.
We’d love your opinions!

Augustin [name_m]Julius[/name_m] and [name_u]Laurence[/name_u] [name_m]Duncan[/name_m] flow the best, but I wonder if [name_m]Augustin[/name_m] [name_m]Julius[/name_m] is just a little too [name_m]Caesar[/name_m]-y as a combo…

(I know [name_m]Augustus[/name_m] and [name_m]Augustin[/name_m] are slightly different, but the overall sound is there.)

I agree with this, but it’s still my favourite set. [name_m]Augustin[/name_m] and [name_u]Laurence[/name_u] are so handsome and distinguished together! I’d also really like [name_m]Augustin[/name_m] [name_u]Laurence[/name_u] and [name_m]Julius[/name_m] [name_m]Duncan[/name_m] (that last one is quite Shakespearean, but I think in a handsome way).

I agree with both the previous posts.

I also think the endings of [name_m]Duncan[/name_m]/Augustin and [name_m]Julius[/name_m]/Laurence are too similar. The names go really well together mismatched as you have them for 2 of the 4 pairs.

But I also think [name_u]Laurence[/name_u] [name_m]Augustin[/name_m] with [name_m]Julius[/name_m] [name_m]Duncan[/name_m] or [name_m]Duncan[/name_m] [name_m]Julius[/name_m] work really nicely.

Voted.

This is what I’d vote for if it was an option!

Thanks for so many replies already. I see some of you saying that you’d prefer [name_m]Augustin[/name_m] [name_u]Laurence[/name_u] and [name_m]Julius[/name_m] [name_m]Duncan[/name_m]. While we agree that that’d be lovely too, we don’t want to do that as that would mean one repeating inital and one new one. Somehow we’re very nitpicky in this area: we want either two repeating initials, or two new ones.
The idea that we’re using both pairs is not set in stone either, we’re also still debating giving them other middle names. But for now their first names are priority.

I would probably go for [name_u]Laurence[/name_u] [name_m]Augustin[/name_m] and [name_m]Julius[/name_m] [name_m]Duncan[/name_m]. [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] names. Congrats.
