Final four - ten weeks to go :)

[name_m]HI[/name_m] Berries,
I have 10 weeks until DC’s expected arrival. We have a DS [name_m]Isaac[/name_m]. If this DC is a boy he’ll be [name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]. We struggling so much on girls but think this might be the final four.
Please rank in order of preference, with reasons if you have time! [name_m]New[/name_m] suggestions are always welcome.
Thanks!

[name_f]Florence[/name_f], [name_f]Camilla[/name_f], [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], [name_f]Annabel[/name_f]

My favorite is [name_f]Annabel[/name_f]! [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] second, then [name_f]Florence[/name_f], [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] last (though its very lovely all the same).

For middles, I like [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]/[name_f]Viola[/name_f], [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Amelie[/name_f], and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] or [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f].

In the order I like them with [name_m]Isaac[/name_m]:
[name_f]Annabel[/name_f]-sounds just so sweet with [name_m]Isaac[/name_m]!
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f]-on my list for middle names
[name_f]Florence[/name_f]-also on my list for middle names
[name_f]Camilla[/name_f]-this one never was on my list of favorites, but is still stylish, just not something I would choose

[name_f]Camilla[/name_f] and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] are both lovely. I quite like [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] as well but am hearing it a lot lately so I’d rank it slightly behind the other two.

I have never liked [name_f]Florence[/name_f], I’m not sure why.

I think they all go equally well with [name_m]Isaac[/name_m].

camilla josephine is very pretty!

I love the name [name_m]Isaac[/name_m]…My favorite is [name_f]Annabel[/name_f], [name_f]Florence[/name_f], [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], and [name_f]Camilla[/name_f]. I only really love [name_f]Camille[/name_f], but not [name_f]Camilla[/name_f].
[name_f]Annabel[/name_f] has lots of nickname options, and is timeless. [name_f]Florence[/name_f] is a modern and vintage classic with the option of [name_u]Wren[/name_u] or [name_u]Loren[/name_u] as a nickname. [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] has the super cute [name_u]Josie[/name_u] nickname option, but I prefer [name_f]Josefina[/name_f]. [name_f]Josefina[/name_f] is a bit different but familiar enough to avoid being labeled as odd.

I’ll rank them and rate them, as well.

  1. [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] (10/10) I love this name so much. It’s got such a rich history, a beautiful sound, and it’s refined and sophisticated. When she’s young, she can be adorable little [name_u]Josie[/name_u]. When she gets a little older, she can be [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]. It’s a name that flows through all the ages very seamlessly. Not to mention, it’s a classic gem.

  2. [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] (10/10) This is such a beautiful name, and it has a very cool, sweet, vintage-yet-modern vibe to it. I love that she can go by “[name_f]Anna[/name_f]” or “[name_f]Belle[/name_f],” whatever it is she sees fit. The only reason this is my #2 is because of the spelling. If it were “[name_f]Annabelle[/name_f],” it would have been my number one.

  3. [name_f]Florence[/name_f] (7/10) It’s a fine, sturdy name with a rich history. It works on the creative child, but it’s not really one I see being appreciated on every child. For some reason, this name is tied with the “[name_f]Flo[/name_f] the Progressive Girl” image.

  4. [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] (3/10) I’ve never liked this name. It’s stuffy and old, and I only see [name_f]Princess[/name_f] [name_f]Camilla[/name_f]'s face when I think of this name. Not for a modern little girl.

I’d go with [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], nickname [name_u]Josie[/name_u].

[name_f]Camilla[/name_f], [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], [name_f]Florence[/name_f], [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] is my order, but I like them all.

  1. [name_f]Camilla[/name_f]. It’s just so sweet! It has cute nicknames, but it good on it’s own. It’s a versatile name, you might get a little tomboy or a princess. Nn: [name_f]Cammie[/name_f]/[name_f]Cammy[/name_f], [name_f]Mila[/name_f]/[name_f]Milla[/name_f], [name_f]Milly[/name_f], [name_f]Lala[/name_f]. [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] and [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] works but not amazingly because of the end with a C, start with a C. A lot of similar letters too. [name_m]Isaac[/name_m], [name_f]Camilla[/name_f], and [name_m]Miles[/name_m] works too, but not as well, because [name_m]Miles[/name_m] is sort of in the [name_f]Milla[/name_f] of [name_f]Camilla[/name_f].
  2. [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]. It’s a solid, respectable name. Also versatile. I sort of think this needs a nn, at least while she’s young. NN: [name_u]Josie[/name_u] or Phina? [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is good!
  3. [name_f]Florence[/name_f]. [name_u]Unique[/name_u], but I don’t love the name. She would need a nn, maybe [name_f]Florie[/name_f], [name_f]Flora[/name_f], [name_f]Flo[/name_f]. Oh [name_f]Flo[/name_f] is really sweet! I much prefer [name_f]Flora[/name_f]. It isn’t great with [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] though [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
  4. [name_f]Annabel[/name_f]: It’s ok, just not really my style. I would say it’s tied with [name_f]Florence[/name_f]. NN: [name_f]Anna[/name_f], [name_f]Annie[/name_f], [name_f]Belle[/name_f], [name_f]Bella[/name_f]. I like how many nns there are! Perks: This goes nicely with [name_m]Isaac[/name_m], and if you intended on having a 3rd child who turned out to be a boy, it goes well with [name_m]Miles[/name_m] too. [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] and [name_f]Annabel[/name_f]. [name_m]Isaac[/name_m], [name_f]Annabel[/name_f], and [name_m]Miles[/name_m].

Ok, new order I think:
[name_f]Camilla[/name_f], [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Florence[/name_f].
[name_f]Camilla[/name_f], [name_f]Flora[/name_f], [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] and [name_f]Annabel[/name_f].

I love your naming style. You have some wonderful choices on your girls list. With the vintage charm and Biblical strength of [name_m]Isaac[/name_m], I would rank them in this order.

1 [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
2 [name_f]Annabel[/name_f]
3 [name_f]Florence[/name_f]
4 [name_f]Camilla[/name_f]

  1. [name_f]Annabel[/name_f]: [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] name. It’s the perfect balance of frilly and strong, and with its range of nicknames it works well for any personality type. Plus it goes beautifully with [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] (which is a fantastic name, by the way).
  2. [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]: I love [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]! It’s sweet, vintage and sophisticated, and has the adorable nicknames [name_u]Josie[/name_u], [name_u]Jo[/name_u] and Sephy.
  3. [name_f]Florence[/name_f]: Very pretty, but it drifts in and out of favor with me. Sometimes it seems lovely; sometimes it seems too stuffy. I slightly prefer [name_f]Fleur[/name_f].
  4. [name_f]Camilla[/name_f]: Not my style. I think it’s the [name_u]Cam[/name_u] part I don’t like.

I think overall [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] goes best with [name_m]Isaac[/name_m]. They’re both classic but have a modern feel to them.

[name_f]Annabel[/name_f] - I just love it. [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] is my favourite poem, I think [name_f]Belle[/name_f] is a super sweet nickname and I also like all the [name_f]Ann[/name_f]- options that come with it. The meaning is lovely as well.

[name_f]Florence[/name_f] - It has a really pretty sound.

[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] - it’s sweet and I think [name_u]Josie[/name_u] is cute. As far as [name_u]Jo[/name_u]- names go I prefer [name_f]Johanna[/name_f], though.

[name_f]Camilla[/name_f] - [name_m]Just[/name_m] reminds me too much of [name_m]Prince[/name_m] [name_m]Charles[/name_m]’ wife. I think [name_f]Camille[/name_f] is nicer. [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] sounds a bit prudish to me.

My order goes; [name_f]Annabel[/name_f],[name_f]Josephine[/name_f], [name_f]Florence[/name_f] then [name_f]Camilla[/name_f].

I think [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] sounds best with [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] (loving this name!!). I know of siblings called [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] and [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Bea[/name_f]) i always thought this was beautiful

Thank you all so much for your incredibly thoughtful responses! I had never thought as [name_u]Loren[/name_u] for a nickname for [name_f]Florence[/name_f]. I also had never really noticed how alike [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] and [name_m]Miles[/name_m] are. Perhaps that’s why I like it.
Our dream family has three children and I love [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] and [name_m]Miles[/name_m] together, so I don’t want anything to spoil that.

I really wanted names like [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], [name_f]Violet[/name_f] etc. before I became pregnant but early on in the pregnancy my heart kept telling me this baby won’t wear those names.

[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] and [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] are my DH’s picks and they are growing on me. I love the history of [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] and meaning of [name_f]Annabel[/name_f].
I guess I’ll work on some middles and talk it over with DH when he’s receptive to the discussion again

So far I like:

[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] (my sister and [name_f]MIL[/name_f]'s birth month)
[name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f] (for the meaning)
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] (for my best friend)
[name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_u]Joyce[/name_u] (Grandmother’s name)

I guess [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f] and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] might be a nice sibset if we have two girls

Thanks for listening!

I like [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] the most:) So sweet and timeless with [name_m]Isaac[/name_m]! My next favorite is [name_f]Camilla[/name_f], then [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], then [name_f]Florence[/name_f]! I think you could make two lovely combos with these four names: [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] and [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]. Congrats on your upcoming arrival - how exciting!

Right as I posted this I saw your response…yes, [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f] and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] are divine! I will also suggest [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f] and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] (I love three names for girls!)

[name_f]Camilla[/name_f], this one’s my favorite, it feels both elegant and spunky.
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f], I like that this could be shortened to [name_u]Josie[/name_u], which also sounds spunky.
[name_f]Florence[/name_f], This is a pretty name, very vintage, can be shortened to [name_f]Flora[/name_f].
[name_f]Annabel[/name_f], I just don’t like this one, it seems a little to delicate for my taste.

I love all of them, but [name_f]Camille[/name_f] and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] are my absolute favourites!

[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] & [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] ([name_u]Josie[/name_u])!

These are all so gorgeous!

  1. [name_f]Camilla[/name_f]
  2. [name_f]Annabel[/name_f]
  3. [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
  4. [name_f]Florence[/name_f]

I struggled! I love them all!

[name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is lovely.
I also like [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] and [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_u]Josie[/name_u] if you’re looking for a shorter middle.
