[name_u]Baby[/name_u] is due [name_f]Sunday[/name_f], which means we still have a couple of days to finalize our names and shop for opinions. We’re “not-deciding-on-the-name-until-baby-is-here” kind of people so things can change, but I think these are our final names.
Laertes [name_m]Prospero[/name_m] [name_m]Tavish[/name_m] – [name_m]Lad[/name_m], [name_f]Lys[/name_f]
[name_m]Amadeus[/name_m] [name_m]Horatio[/name_m] [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] – [name_u]Dash[/name_u], [name_f]Dee[/name_f]
[name_m]Lancelot[/name_m] [name_m]Sherwood[/name_m] [name_u]Oberon[/name_u] – [name_m]Lenny[/name_m], [name_m]Lance[/name_m]
Galahad [name_m]Melchior[/name_m] [name_m]Saint[/name_m] – [name_u]Gale[/name_u], [name_m]Lad[/name_m]
[name_m]Lysander[/name_m] [name_m]Dante[/name_m] Florizel – [name_f]Lys[/name_f], [name_u]Sasha[/name_u]
Which one would you choose for [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] and [name_m]Endymion[/name_m]’s brother?
P.S. I do understand that some people might find our names over the top, but please try to look past that or abstain from commenting altogether. I’m heavily pregnant and not ready for negativity. Thank you!
P.P.S Oh, and is [name_m]Saint[/name_m] too Kardashian? They have some cool names, but I don’t want to look like a copycat.
This is tough, because your names are all stunning
I think my favourites are [name_m]Amadeus[/name_m] [name_m]Horatio[/name_m] [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] and Galahad Melchoir [name_m]Saint[/name_m] though!
Galahad is so adventurous and cool and i loved it last time yiu were considering it and [name_m]Amadeus[/name_m] is so charming and bright! I think I have a slight preference for [name_m]Amadeus[/name_m] (maybe because I love the nickname options more) but honestly, whatever you go for will be brilliant
Your [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] combination is fabulous. That’s my favorite.
I love that you have chosen such cool, unexpected, and meaningful names for your children! [name_m]Just[/name_m] out of curiosity, what nicknames do you use currently for your kids?
It’s hard to choose a favorite as these all would be great sibling names for [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] and [name_m]Endymion[/name_m]. I think I prefer [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] [name_m]Dante[/name_m] Florizel of all your combos, mainly because I have a soft spot for the name [name_m]Lysander[/name_m]! I’m not sure exactly how you put together these names (maybe they are organzied based on meaning for example) but would you consider [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] [name_m]Amadeus[/name_m] [name_m]Lancelot[/name_m] or [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] [name_m]Dante[/name_m] Galahad as combos? That way more of your first name options would make it in!
I like the [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] and [name_m]Amadeus[/name_m] combos the best!
I’ve been on the [name_m]Amadeus[/name_m] bandwagon for you for ages but then…Galahad [name_m]Melchior[/name_m] [name_m]Saint[/name_m] “[name_u]Gale[/name_u]”! It feels ‘so you’, fits in really well with his siblings and is just so brilliantly quirky and unexpected. Personally, I would [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] to see [name_m]Amadeus[/name_m] [name_m]Melchior[/name_m] [name_m]Saint[/name_m], however, I know of how much you adore Galahad, so he just works perfectly here for you.
All of your names and combos here are great though – I look forward to hearing which one you ultimately decide on.
Galahad [name_m]Melchior[/name_m] [name_m]Saint[/name_m] is the most gorgeous combination I have ever seen. I absolutely love it! I think Galahad goes quite well with [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] and [name_m]Endymion[/name_m].
While I adore the name [name_m]Lancelot[/name_m], I don’t love [name_m]Lancelot[/name_m] [name_m]Sherwood[/name_m] [name_u]Oberon[/name_u] as much as Galahad [name_m]Melchior[/name_m] [name_m]Saint[/name_m]. The rest are fine names, but none as spectacular as Galahad imo.
[name_m]Amadeus[/name_m] [name_m]Horatio[/name_m] [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] and [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] [name_m]Dante[/name_m] Florizel ([name_u]Sasha[/name_u] as a nn for [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] is genius!) are so handsome! My favourite would have to be [name_m]Amadeus[/name_m] [name_m]Horatio[/name_m] [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u]. It’s such a gorgeous, strong combo that I think pairs well with [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] and [name_m]Endymion[/name_m].
I don’t think [name_m]Saint[/name_m] is too Kardashian at all – I immediately think of the religious connotations before the Kardashians. Plus, with it being in the middle, I don’t think it’d be too much of a problem.
[name_u]Baby[/name_u] is due [name_f]Sunday[/name_f]! Congrats! [name_m]How[/name_m] wonderful!
Laertes [name_m]Prospero[/name_m] [name_m]Tavish[/name_m] – [name_m]Lad[/name_m], [name_f]Lys[/name_f] - I feel like I like this but am not sure if feels quite right with your others.
[name_m]Amadeus[/name_m] [name_m]Horatio[/name_m] [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] – [name_u]Dash[/name_u], [name_f]Dee[/name_f] * I think I like this best as it is the same length and these are all names I like.
[name_m]Lancelot[/name_m] [name_m]Sherwood[/name_m] [name_u]Oberon[/name_u] – [name_m]Lenny[/name_m], [name_m]Lance[/name_m] - I like lancelot, but I think the 3 names together may [name_f]MAY[/name_f] be too big? In thinking [name_m]Lancelot[/name_m], [name_m]Sherwood[/name_m] [name_m]Forest[/name_m], faerie king… So Arthurian [name_u]Legend[/name_u], [name_u]Robin[/name_u] hood, Shakespear… I like all the names… Maybe I just know the stories too well and it’s just like bringing them all to mind at once? Might just be my own issue.
Galahad [name_m]Melchior[/name_m] [name_m]Saint[/name_m] – [name_u]Gale[/name_u], [name_m]Lad[/name_m] - love those Arthurian names and there’s a recent series called The Librarians that has Galahad in it actually which is cool… Because I’m realizing i haven’t seen it out of that context … I’m trying to picture the name on a child and I think it feels quite strong. The middles … There’s [name_m]Saint[/name_m] [name_m]Melchior[/name_m] right? Otherwise I just think of my husband because he likes that name, I think as a character? [name_m]Saint[/name_m] as a middle is also usable, I dont think I would put them together.
[name_m]Lysander[/name_m] [name_m]Dante[/name_m] Florizel – [name_f]Lys[/name_f], [name_u]Sasha[/name_u] - i like [name_m]Lysander[/name_m], and [name_u]Sasha[/name_u] as a nn I’ve always liked for a boy, I’ve seen it for [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] but [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] works too, very nice. This is my second pick for you. I don’t know I would use the middles with it but I don’t dislike them. The second middle really connects your other two children’s middles. The visual similarity to your sons and the winter connection with your daughters. I would switch out [name_m]Dante[/name_m] with [name_m]Tavish[/name_m]… I like the T at the beginning there with those names AND I feel like it helps well [name_u]Sasha[/name_u] which I like. Or I really like [name_m]Amadeus[/name_m] [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] Florizel though it’s got a lot of ss…
all in all good list, lots to pick from, lots of [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] and [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m] and other connections in there which is fun.
As far as your children’s names…
For starters [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] is so pretty, I love how it pairs with the middles for a magical feeling name.
[name_m]Endymion[/name_m] is absolutely brilliant and his middles carry that on in a really solid way that’s fun but also very wearable.
I would choose another 4 syllable name for their brother, 3 at the least, avoiding repeating beginning and ending sounds as you’ve done. C & E are both rather gentle letters. So perhaps taking that softness into account. That can add some ease to longer names… I
I’m sure you’ll be choosing soon!
[name_m]Lysander[/name_m] and [name_m]Amadeus[/name_m] are my favorites!!
[name_m]Lancelot[/name_m] [name_m]Sherwood[/name_m] [name_u]Oberon[/name_u]…what a cool, majestic name! Going by fn only, I was on the fence about [name_m]Lancelot[/name_m], but these names together really sells it for me. I’d say it’s the most…err, fictional sounding? But hey that’s my taste and I guess the type of name I wish I had. He’s the hero of fantasy genre comic book and has lots of confidence. Yes of course, those [name_u]Robin[/name_u] Hood vibes, maybe a little [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] [name_m]Rider[/name_m] smolder meets modern hero? I think it’s [name_u]Oberon[/name_u] that takes it into current cool territory.
My next choice would have to be Galahad [name_m]Melchior[/name_m] [name_m]Saint[/name_m]. All I can say is that I see gold. Halos, tapestries; religious, but more in historical imagery than in a truly referential sense. It’s lush and…smells good? Like a warm smoky perfume? Ignore me I’m weird.
If I remember correctly, my initial first choice for you was [name_m]Amadeus[/name_m]. While I do love it, the combo doesn’t have the sparkle of the others for me. [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] is probably the safest name here (ha not a statement made often), and it’s nice but I know you’re not about safe. Good luck!
[name_m]Amadeus[/name_m] [name_m]Horatio[/name_m] [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] is what I like best, especially with your kids.
I see you really love literature, lots of references! Great names.
Lysander Dante Florizel is the best! Very handsome.
Also, Oberon is awesome. Double Shakespeare reference with:
Lysander Dante Oberon.
Sasha is a great nn. I would also recommend: Sander, Xander, Land (a nn for my relative), Lander, and even Lance.
Least favorite is Galahad.
Lancelot is 2nd best. Then Laertes and Amadeus are tied.
Cornelia and Endymion are lovely!
So I love your names! I will admit, seeing [name_m]Saint[/name_m] thrown in there immediately made me think of the Kardashians… sorry!!
By far, my favorite first name is Galahad! Sooo handsome. Among the middle name options, I love Florizel, [name_m]Tavish[/name_m], [name_m]Dante[/name_m], and [name_m]Prospero[/name_m].
Best of luck!!
