Final names list - pick your faves

I’m coming up to my last month of the pregnancy and wanted to know which would be the top 2 names you’d choose for each gender. Our top names are below. - all nns are family nns only.

[name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] ‘[name_u]Abbey[/name_u]’
[name_f]Joanna[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] ‘[name_u]JoJo[/name_u]’
[name_f]Millie[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] or [name_f]Millie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] - he won’t have anything to make [name_f]Millie[/name_f] a nn he doesn’t like any of them.
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Anne[/name_f]

[name_m]Edward[/name_m] [name_m]Stephen[/name_m] ‘[name_m]Eddie[/name_m]’
[name_u]Freddie[/name_u] [name_m]George[/name_m] or [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] [name_m]John[/name_m] - my boyfriend won’t have anything other than [name_u]Freddie[/name_u].
[name_m]Jacob[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m] ‘[name_u]Jay[/name_u]’
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m] ‘TJ’

Sibling [name_f]Amy[/name_f]-[name_f]Louise[/name_f] (she likes [name_f]Amy[/name_f] [name_u]Lou[/name_u]-[name_u]Lou[/name_u]) and surname begins with K.

[name_f]Millie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Millie[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] (in that order) are my favorite from the girl list. I adore [name_f]Millie[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f], and [name_f]Anne[/name_f]. [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m] is my favorite from the boy list.

suggestions - [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m] (JD), [name_m]David[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] ([name_m]Dax[/name_m], [name_m]Davy[/name_m]), [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] (JT), [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Edward[/name_m] ([name_m]Jax[/name_m]), [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] (JT)

Thank you for the suggestions but I can’t use any of them. - [name_m]David[/name_m] would be too emotional as that is my grandfathers name who died last year. [name_m]John[/name_m] is my boyfriends uncles who also died last year.

[name_m]Jack[/name_m] reminds me of a dog ([name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Russell[/name_m]).

My first pick would be [name_f]Johanna[/name_f]. It matches your other daughters name really well, the style and look and sound.
For boys, [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] [name_m]John[/name_m]. [name_u]Love[/name_u] that one.

Other names I like and sound good are [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m] and [name_f]Millie[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f].

Thank you.

From your girl list I like [name_f]Millie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] or [name_f]Millie[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f]. As for boys I like [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m] but [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m] is cute as well.

[name_f]Joanna[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] & [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m] are my picks.

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] is my favourite for a girl! Current but classic, and feminine but not frilly.

#2 for a girl would be [name_f]Millie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] ([name_f]Millie[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] sounds a bit like “million” to me).

[name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m] is my favourite for a boy. Both lovely classic names, although I have rarely actually met a little [name_m]Thomas[/name_m].

My #2 for a boy would be [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] [name_m]George[/name_m], though I’d prefer [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] with the nickname [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] (I understand that that’s not an option, I just for what it’s worth feel like [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] seems really professional and [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] seems really lively and fun, and with [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] you could fully just call him [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] all the time but leave him the option of using [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] on a resume… anyway, I’m sure you’ve considered all of this yourselves).

My favorite from the girls list is [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Anne[/name_f]. Second would be [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], I think. [name_f]Millie[/name_f] is cute, but I don’t like it as a full name. I just don’t see it aging very well. From the boys names I like [name_m]Edward[/name_m], [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] and [name_m]John[/name_m], but I don’t like any of the combinations much. My favorite is [name_m]John[/name_m], it’s just so solid and handsome.

Suggested combinations: [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] and [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Edward[/name_m]/[name_m]Thomas[/name_m]/[name_m]David[/name_m] (they all go well).

My picks would be:
[name_f]Millie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_m]Edward[/name_m] [name_m]Stephen[/name_m] ‘[name_m]Eddie[/name_m]’

I like [name_f]Millie[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f], and [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m] (I really love [name_u]Jay[/name_u]).

I do agree about [name_f]Millie[/name_f] but it’s been my boyfriends fave name since we had [name_f]Amy[/name_f].

[name_m]John[/name_m] as a fn is not a option and never will be [name_m]John[/name_m] is after my boyfriends uncle who died last year and he wouldn’t want it as a fn. - I’m not sure on [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] I just really love [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] as a fn.

I do know that about [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] but I’v tried over and over to get my boyfriend to like it but it hasn’t worked he keeps coming back to [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] because he likes names that are easy to say. - [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] was supposed to be my grandads middle name but his dad couldn’t spell it when they registered him so they used [name_m]Fred[/name_m] instead.

Girls: My favorites are [name_f]Joanna[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Anne[/name_f]. “[name_u]Jo[/name_u] [name_u]Jo[/name_u]” is a very cute nickname, which can transition easily to [name_u]Jo[/name_u] as she gets a little older. I share the same concerns with some other posters that [name_f]Millie[/name_f] won’t age well. [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is cute, but I’ve gotten a little down on [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] because of all the little Abbys I’ve seen lately.

For a boy, I like [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m] best, then probably a tie between [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m] and [name_m]Edward[/name_m] [name_m]Stephen[/name_m]. I’m not a fan of [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] by itself and not as a nickname. In particular, [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] [name_m]George[/name_m] makes me think of [name_m]Fred[/name_m] and [name_m]George[/name_m], the twins from [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m].

Girls:
[name_f]Johanna[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]

Boys:
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m]
[name_m]Edward[/name_m] [name_m]Stephen[/name_m]

By the way if you have a little girl I highly suggest [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] as that would look so sweet with her older Sibling [name_f]Amy[/name_f].

#1 pick girls: [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Anne[/name_f]
#2 pick girls: [name_f]Joanna[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]

#1 pick boys: [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m]
#2 pick boy: [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m]

 my oh will love you as that’s his fave name.

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m] are my favorites.

Being English nns as Fns are more common. I class dds name as a nn because she was named after my great grandmother [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] ‘[name_f]Amy[/name_f]’.

I never thought about the [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] and [name_m]George[/name_m] thing there just 2 family names that’s all I thought of it for.

My favorite of the boys is [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m], [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m] being my second choice. From the girls I like [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Joanna[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] but since her sister’s name starts with A I wouldn’t go with [name_f]Abigail[/name_f], so I pick [name_f]Joanna[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. I also like [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] but not [name_f]Anne[/name_f], and I don’t like [name_f]Millie[/name_f] (too nicknamey for my taste).
