[name]Helena[/name] is gorgeous
[name]Just[/name] a note, [name]Helen[/name] [name]Mirren[/name] is an actress… and dangerously close to your “[name]Helena[/name] [name]Maren[/name]” option. It may sound like you’re naming your daughter after the actress. That being said, all your names are gorgeous. And I like [name]Helena[/name] the best. Maybe you could tweak the mn so it’s a little more different. [name]Even[/name] just to [name]Helena[/name] [name]Marine[/name]. Good luck. I’m due any minute as well!
[name]Elena[/name] [name]Marin[/name] is beautiful!
Thank you for pointing that out! I never would have seen that. I am just struggling with a middle name that goes well with [name]Helena[/name] because i do favor that name as well.
Okay, assuming [name]Helena[/name] is your favorite and [name]Marine[/name] isn’t doing it for you (although, I think [name]Helena[/name] [name]Marine[/name] is very pretty)… [name]How[/name] about [name]Marys[/name] or [name]Maris[/name] (same meaning, different spellings). And [name]Helena[/name] [name]Marys[/name] doesn’t remind me of [name]Helen[/name] [name]Mirren[/name] at all [name]Hope[/name] that helped! Let us know what you pick!!
Several new parents have expressed distress over spelling and/or pronunciation issues with their babies’ names. In deciding, you might want to consider that with [name]Marin[/name], some people will pronounce it like “Mah-[name]RIN[/name]” with the emphasis on the last syllable, and others will pronounce it “[name]MARE[/name]-in” with a long /a/ and emphasis on the first syllable. Some might spell it [name]Maren[/name].
With the name [name]Helena[/name], there will be people who pronounce it “[name]Helen[/name]-uh,” and others will pronounce it “Helayna.” [name]Just[/name] something to be aware of.
All the names on your list are beautiful!
I pronounce [name]Helena[/name] as hell ee nah and I pronounce [name]Marin[/name] with a short ‘a’ sound Ma rin.
I like helena but not a fan of second names, maybe [name]Helena[/name] [name]Silvia[/name] is better?
I would pronounce [name]Helena[/name] “Hell-ee-na” and [name]Marin[/name] “[name]Mare[/name]-in”, which I know is associated with the traditional spelling [name]Maren[/name] - but my hubby hates that spelling for some reason. Maybe Maryn…
