[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Clarimond[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] is very pretty.
I quite like [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Imelda[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f], it sounds so pretty and I think it really goes nicely together
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] is my favourite!
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] flows the best to me, with the different endings and first-syllable stresses. It’s lovely!
I like the sound of all of your options, but I think it’s nice to have a more “conventional” name like [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] in there somewhere, to ground it a little and match big brother’s name.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] and [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f], by the way!
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] got my vote! [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] was on my list too. I also like [name_f]Imelda[/name_f].
Thank you all for your feedback so far!
[name_f]Katinka[/name_f] I think you make a great point about something a littke more conventional in the mix to balance it out, and about the first syllable stress in each name having a good rhythmic quality.
I think [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] has the best flow, so I voted for it despite the fact that I don’t like the meaning of [name_f]Claudia[/name_f].
I really like [name_f]Imelda[/name_f], too, but I can’t help but think of [name_f]Imelda[/name_f] Staunton and [name_f]Imelda[/name_f] [name_m]Marcos[/name_m] when I hear it. If these associations don’t bother you much, it’s a great option - a little [name_f]Ramona[/name_f], some [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f], very stylish.
Moonstone, I’m not especially keen on the generally accepted meaning of [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] as well, but there is some debate offering a potential alternate origin for the name that suggests “enclosure” or “clause” which is still kinda weird but not as bad.
What originally drew me to that one, aside from having a nice sound, was that my great grandpa’s name was [name_u]Claude[/name_u] so I thought it could be a nice way to honor him maybe.
With my first child my mom had talked to me about honoring him (she suggested [name_m]Steven[/name_m] though, after his surname Stevens, and I hated that.)
I voted for [name_f]Eponine[/name_f], I felt having a vowel in the middle spot softened things up.
I love [name_f]Claudia[/name_f], but I think [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] is already conventional enough that you don’t necessarily need a conventional middle for balance when paired with your son’s name.
I voted for [name_f]Eponine[/name_f] because I agree with cocoapuff that the vowel sound is a nice follow-up to the heavy consonant ending of [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]. [name_f]Imelda[/name_f] would be my second choice for the same reason.
[name_f]Imelda[/name_f] is just gorgeous in this combo! Awesome list.
Thank you! It’s a name I only recently discovered. (Thanks Pixar.)
