I need some help on my last girl’s combo. [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]. I love those two together, but…I’m not sure what second mn goes well.
Some I have considered:
[name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] [name_u]Clare[/name_u] – [name_u]Clare[/name_u] is an honor name, but I’d probably have to change my [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] combo if I used it
[name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] – I usually consider [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] as a gp, but I like it here. Still not sure though…
[name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] – [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] is an honor name, but I feel like it’s kind of big and grand and overshadows sweet, simple [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f], if that makes sense.
I want something that blends with the whole combo, like [name_u]Clare[/name_u], so that [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] is not overshadowed. Perhaps something longer though, because [name_f]Ella[/name_f] is so short.
What do you berries think? I’m open to all suggestions. (You can probably get a good grasp on my style from the names already in my signature. I like names with history and elegance and still some familiarty and class.)
I much prefer [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] [name_u]Clare[/name_u] of your options, as, like you said, I feel that the other two overshadow [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] (just [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] ________ or [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] _______ would work fine, but [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] is already three syllables, and unusual.)
I think [name_u]Clare[/name_u] is nice, I also like [name_f]Antonia[/name_f], it’s has a very warm vibe to it that fits in will with [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f].
Flow would depend on pronunciation and emphasis, I think an-TOH-nee-a flows really well.
[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] doesn’t do much for the combo, for me. Neither in flow nor style.
As for ideas
It seems you really love [name_f]Antonia[/name_f], have you thought about it with [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]?
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] / [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_f]Antonia[/name_f]?
I say this because I really adore the idea of [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f], it just seems like the perfect vintage name to round out the combo. I really like what it adds.
@lawsonhaley: Yes, I think you get exactly what I’m thinking. All of your suggestions are great. I think [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f] is especially cute!
@opheliaflora: Actually, I love it. [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] seems perfect. But do you think [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] is too long? I mean, I’m not too concerned with length, but what do you think?
@chelsanne: [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] [name_f]Odette[/name_f] has gorgeous imagery!
@desdemona: I really like [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] [name_f]Giselle[/name_f], but I hesitate…is it too much ell?
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you pronounce [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] as ann-TOh-nee-a, ann-toh-NEE-a, [name_f]ANN[/name_f]-toh-nee-a or ann-toh-nee-[name_m]AH[/name_m]?
I don’t think it’s too long, though putting [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] last does draw out the combo, sound and look wise…
Still I think it’s fine
[name_f]Elle[/name_f] [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]. Wow,this name is so unique and beautiful, i would definately use it if i were you. Pick [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] as a middle name,u won’t go wrong
